Be prepared! I recently called the Pink Plumber to pump my septic tank and to check a wet area in my yard that I suspected was caused by my septic system's drain field. I have seen their television commercials for years and felt that they were reputable. Knowing that I had the wet spot in my drain field, I expected to pay more than the $149 tank pumping that they advertise. I called and scheduled them to come out and they advised that they would come between 2 & 6pm on the following Monday. I and the person renting my house planned our schedule to meet with them then. On that Monday about noon, they called and said that they could not be there because """"their tanks were full"""". I understand that this refers to tanks where their trucks empty what they pump from septic tanks into. I reminded them that I had made an appointment and rearranged my day to meet them but all they would say was that """"their tanks were full"""". They advised they would be there the next day, Tuesday. Their crew arrived on Tuesday. Two very nice young men who answered all of my questions while doing their work and they also appeared to have done a good job on the work they did. They pumped my septic tank and advised that the wet spot I had was due to my drain field line not draining properly. They gave me an estimate for repairs for $3,247. Sticker shock! One of the men went over what needed to be done with me while we were standing in the rain looking at my septic system that would not work correctly if this work was not done. I reluctantly agreed for them to proceed. If you use the Pink Plumber or any other service, I recommend that you be prepared as much as possible. If I had this to do over again, I would call around to get estimates on the following services that I paid for: Pump a 1,000 gallon septic tank (I was charged $149) Pump additional amount from overfilled septic tank (I was charged $161, which I was later credited for) Backpump drainfield (I was charged $610) Jet debris from drainfield piping (I was charged $510) Pour fieldline biocorrector into fieldline (I was charged $1,360. Yes $1,360). This was about a 5 gallon bucket of """"bacteria"""". Install baffle tee without tail out (I was charged $454). This appeared to be common PVC parts that were attached to the outlet of my septic tank. Maybe less that $25 worth of parts? It took the crew about 90 minutes or less to complete the balance of the work after the tank had been pumped. The charge for this time plus their materials was almost $3,000 of the total work. The next day I called to get a better explanation of my charges, left a message and no one called back. I called the next week and was able to talk to someone. We talked about my charges for a long time and I was given no specific reasons why the charges were as high as they were. I was offered a 5% Senior discount but it was such an insulting offer, I refused it. To summarize, I very much appreciate the work the Pink Plumber crew did but I am at a loss as to why their charges are as high as they are. If you need someone to service your septic tank, be prepared and do a little homework so that you can determine if you are being treated fairly and ethically. I don't think anyone can pay their employees, pay for their equipment and other expenses and realize a decent profit by pumping septic tanks for $149.

Appointment was sent between noon and four, with a guaranteed 1 hour in advance call. Got a call at three o' eight, and missed it, saw they called at three twenty and called right back. But, stated quite crude and short, because I didn't respond within ten minutes, they said I could reschedule for a different date. We wasted the most of a family Sunday waiting. We do not plan to reschedule. We shall simply take our business elsewhere, and recommend others do the same.

I called the Pink Plumber because a cheap valve on my water line came off while trying to shut water off and water everywhere! I shut the water off to my condo. They made me a priority but couldn't get there until early next morning. Darrin Ross came promptly, replaced the valve and try to settle the original problem which was a sensor faucet gone wild. He spoke with Moen, and with no success, was able to get Moen to send me the new control box for free. Very happy. He was professional, took due care in my home and kind. My only regret was another woman married him before I could propose! Will use them again..

Although we were unable to use The Pink Plumber for our septic pumping and inspection due to our long and very narrow gravel driveway, they arrived on time, attempted the driveway for quite some time and then recommended a company with smaller equipment that could meet our needs. Although we are not in a rural area, our home is set back on a flag lot with no turn around area for the trailer they were hauling. I sincerely thank them for the effort made on that very rainy day, trudging up our driveway and for the recommendation. Thank you Pink Plumber!

Nick was very professional and knowledgeable, he got our clogged pipe to the septic tank cleared out with the hydro jet. I called for service around 8am and was giving a window of 10am to 2 pm, I got a call that he was on his way at 1030am and was here in about 40 minutes. I did have some sticker shock at the bill of $354.95 for the service of basically powerjetting out the clog that was 4 feet from the clean out pipe.

Called to get my tank emptied, told over the phone would be $150 - 250 depending on sized of tank. Tech gets here and does inspection, price quoted nearly $800!!! Now, I would have been ok with a little more since he does need to unclog the line from the house to the tank, but serioulsy. Then tells me the $150 is for a normal tank, in other words an empty one that they don't really need to empty. He says I don't have to do it. So, I'm standing in my torn up yard, with the tank exposed that I agree does need to be emptied, what choice do I really have. Will not ever use them again for anything.

Be very cautious if using this company when purchasing a home. They WILL NOT disclose any septic issues, repairs or services to anyone except the homeowner. If there is a problem or recommendation that the sellers decline, Pink Plumber will not provide you any information until AFTER YOU OWN THE HOUSE. They claim it is company policy. I am purchasing a home, days within closing and the receipt from Pink Plumber (after pumping the system as requested by seller) states seller declined a recommended repair needed. Pink Plumber will not disclose to me or my realtor what that repair recommendation is. The selling realtor was told the cap on the system needs to be replaced. I then called Pink Plumber for a price. They refused to provide me a price for replacing the cap because I do not own the home yet. They will not even give an estimate. I contacted then, strictly because they just serviced the septic. Not sure why this is a secret; makes the whole thing look suspicious. Since Pink Plumber will not provide an estimate, via phone or in writing - makes you wonder why? I called a local septic service & received a quote via phone in less than 10 mins. USE THEM WITH CAUTION

Way overpriced, got ripped off big time. Charged $1500 for a 1 hour job total with replacing a sump pump in basement. Do yourself a favor and stay away from this company. I was dumb enough to let it happen to me. Cost of pump probably 200 and they made a quick 1300 on me for a job i could have done if I would have just researched how to do it. My bad. Also, the manager Jeff Ramos refused to call me back after leaving 2 messages and I finally tracked him down where he sounded like a stoner who didn't care about anything. Said """"well that's the price so we can operate our company or some lame excuse"""". Other plumbers would have charged 800 to do this job after research. Not to mention they have already been found guilty for violating the state's fair business act and had to pay 102,000 in restitution. I guess now I am paying for some of that restitution.

I recently when from two hole sink to one hole sink which required some plumbing work to get the disposal and everything lined up for the one-hole installation. Taylor from Pink Plumber did the work and he was fast and extremely informative. A bit pricey but they know their stuff. I'm fine to pay more to get it done right. Pink Plumber was able to get someone out to my house in less than 24 hours which I also appreciated. Good work and I would definitely use them again.
