After a difficult and disappointing remodel 2 years ago involving multiple contractors and plumbing companies, I admit I'd lost a lot of faith in the services provided to us in St. Pete. I'm very happy to report that faith has been restored because of our experience with Randi, our plumber and Pete the manager at The Drain Team. We had a main sewer line back up this past Saturday (2nd time in 4 months) which flooded our bathroom, living room and kitchen. Opting to use a different plumbing company than before, my neighbor recommended The Drain Team. I was stressed when I called Pete who reassured me and promised to have someone out to us later that morning. Randi arrived about an hour or so later and took care of everything within an hour -- all for a very reasonable price. Here's what sets this company (and Randi) apart ... he explained to us what was causing the recurring problem, roots which were invading the sewer line from the house to the street. He also determined there was a """"lip"""" due to a poor connection at a joint in the line that was slowing everything down and causing a backup of refuse. Then Randi fully explained all of our options, keeping in mind the cost to perform each recommendation, from replacing the sewer line all the way to the street, to installing a safety valve outside of the house, etc. We never felt pressured in any way - he simply outlined our options and the associated costs. In short, he gave us all of the facts so that could make an informed decision in the future. The services he performed were competent, efficient, and timely. Randi was extremely professional, friendly, polite, knowledgeable. The humbleness he displayed was in stark contrast to my previous experience with the condescending attitudes of employees from other plumbing companies in the area. Randi followed up today to install the safety valve. This service call as well as the prior call were preceded by courtesy calls from the main office -- letting us know within a 30 minute window of when he would arrive. We plan to use The Drain Team to install a new sewer line this year and for all of our future plumbing services, which will include installing plumbing to a second bathroom we intend to construct and a landscaping water feature inside of our screened porch. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED COMPANY.

Made an appointment dispatch said between 9 am - 12pm. Dispatch called several times to let me know plumber would be late. Dispatch unable to tell me a simple price on resetting a toilet.

Charged $282.95 for a clogged drain. Was told I needed another $650.00 worth of work to install a cleanout. I called a different company for a second opinion. Glad I did. There was a cleanout 3 feet from where the Drain Team plumber had been working.

My friends if you ever need a plumber STAY AWAY from The Drain Team, they are spiteful and vindictive scum. We have been working on getting a pipe in our yard replaced and as such have been getting estimates. When this company was told they did not get the contract they called the county and reported my father for... get this... not having enough trees on the property, that's right in Pinellas county you are required to have at least 4 trees on your property. My father received a citation and has been given 90 days to plant the requisite number of trees. How petty is that you don't get the contract so you do something like that, Find someone else to fix your pipes this company is an enormous festering sack of rancid monkey spunk that somebody left in the sun to dry, and they deserves to have their business flushed away. Pun intended. So this morning after seeing this bad review, the company calls my father at 7am to complain to him about the review, because THATS how you get past a bad review, not by using better business practices but by throwing a temper tantrum like a toddler. Yup petty....

We have a family owned restaurant and we needed a plumber to come and fix a problem that we were having. Our customer's depend on our service and I expect that when I call another company I get good service. They didn't even bother to call or show up. I wouldn't waste your time with the drain team.

So, if you have a plumbing emergency- don't bother calling the Drain Team. It's been almost 5 hours now since I first called them and they aren't even following up. When I called back after 2 hours- they put me on hold and then never picked up again. I had to have our business owner call them from her phone and they answered right away. Not the best service to leave a salon hanging all day, especially one that you did the plumbing work on and have received good business from. They either do not have enough employees, poor management, undertrained dispatch, or just simply don't care. *Update- they just now called and said they can't come today. Wow- really! Could have just called someone else from the beginning. Tyler-DOLLYLOCKS SALON

The Drain Team have been our plumbers of choice for our home for a couple years now. From their dispatcher/manager John, to the great guys they send to do the job, we have been very satisfied. Same day service everytime, even holidays! Recently Randy responded to a total blockage of our two bathrooms, and he worked into the night to get things flowing again. Randy was friendly, neat, clean, helpful, on-time, and an excellent problem solver. Their plumbers have the proper tools, skills, experience and savvy to get their customers back up and running...and the prices are very fair.

I'm not sure how they are if they actually come out, but they get one star from me on my limited interaction with them. We need a plumber today. I go to their website first and see they really tout their ability to get out same day, claiming they can usually get someone there within an hour. I didn't even need the one hour service, but I do need same day - which Drain Team seems to think they have no problem doing. I was told when I called that they were """"really booked up today,"""" - could they send someone tomorrow. Um, no. I can't do laundry, I can't wash dishes - I need someone today. The woman with whom I was speaking did not seem like she could have cared any less. I recommend these guys change their page to read """"sometimes we can get there same day and sometimes we can't, and if we can't we won't act as if we care.""""

The worst. Took the time to explain everthing in detail to worker, he still placed pipes in the wrong locations, at the wrong angles, came unprepared - didn't have the right cable, the right clamps, etc. etc. He must have made three different trips to the hardware store. This job should have taken a day but instead took two full days and still isn't done. He then added another $1,000 to the price because he said he forgot to include some of the work we discussed in detail before work started. We've decided to finish the work with someone else to make sure it's done right. What a collassal waste of money. The job consisted of installing a new water heater, washer and dryer (with vent already in place in the ceiling) and sink. The room was fully plumbed before any work was done. Wish I had read other yelp reviews before hiring them.

Extremely quick service. Reasonable charges for emergency repairs. Great technician team. Explained what the repair was in details and gave future prevention tips. Strongly recommend.
