I was in the market for a new AC system for my condo and some of my neighbors had used The Comfort Authority and had nothing but great things to say. They were out to complete an estimate within 48 hours and their estimate beat out a few others I had obtained. Work was scheduled extremely quickly, and the installers were here to complete the work within three days of my initial consultation. On the day of install the install team arrived promptly and worked effortlessly to get the job completed timely. We had a couple of hiccups that warranted them coming back the next day, but it was all handled very professionally and promptly. I have recommended this company to my neighbors already and the unit they installed has been working effortlessly for the past couple of weeks.

Gary Clark from The Comfort Authority just left my house having saved the day after installing a brand new replacement for my failing air conditioning unit. Five years ago I purchased a unit from his competitor and a year later I dropped them for reasons of poor response time and poor support. I began relying on Comfort Air Authority for support. Comfort Air Authority went the extra mile to represent me to the manufacturer and secured a completely free replacement unit, along with installation, travel time, and even the necessary refrigerant. I didn't have to pay a dime! Thumbs up to Steve the Owner, Chase Prather, Jillian, Michael, Hoosi, Nicki, and other fantastic members of their team who worked tirelessly to keep me updated and in the loop throughout the process. I've been around for almost 80 years and have owned my fair share of air conditioners. I'd say it would be insane to consider buying service or support from anyone other than Comfort Air Authority. They've earned my trust for what's left of my happily air-conditioned life!

First, I want to say I am a picky consumer. I always do my due diligence before making a major purchase and I research the products and also the vendor selling it if possible. We purchased a 20-year-old 3 story townhome in Florida with a 5 year old AC system. After moving in I noticed a pretty significant temperature difference in rooms / floors and also a slight mold smell coming from a bathroom duct with continual high humidity throughout the house. I started researching companies that could see about fixing the temperature imbalance and also determine the origin of the mold smell, but also figured I may need to replace the whole system with one capable of handling a zoned floor plan. It took a little while before finding a company that would try and troubleshoot the issue WITHOUT charging me an arm and a leg and also giving me a quote for a new unit. Most just wanted to give me a quote for new system or charge me to try and repair the old, but not both. Only """"The Comfort Authority"""" listened to my problem, understood it, agreed to check the issue out and then talk about solutions (Repair or Replace) without ever talking money, money, money. They listened......cared and seemed confident they could handle it effectively one way or the other. After meeting James and grilling him with 20 questions, he thoroughly inspected my system by taking temp measurements, inspecting inside of ducts, pressure readings etc... When finished he showed me the results of all the tests and inspection. To make a long story shorter, system was cooling, but not properly and some of the ductwork AND AC unit was full of mold. The condensation inside the unit was being thrown through the system instead of properly draining. It was possible to repair (clean unit, ducts and then address the humidity issue) OR replace the system and ducts. Newer system would be costlier, but it could be MUCH better. Zoned, variable speed fan and compressor allowing us to keep the humidity down in the home and stay comfortable wherever you were in the home. It was not an unexpected outcome and I asked for a quote to replace my whole system including the accessible flexible ductwork. I also told him I would be getting other quotes. They were the only company to give me 3 options and the quote was detailed with an exceptional warranty. I talked many James times asking questions, pros, cons, what if.... He answered my questions and was always polite, positive and never pushy. The other companies?? Came in, listened to my concerns, but barely inspected my home & system and then gave quotes for replacement. When I tried to contact one firm back about their proposal, they never even returned my calls. One other company's price was lower than Comfort Authority, but was for a slightly less SEER rated unit and only a year warranty on parts and labor. After agreeing to have them start the work, they graciously worked around my schedule, squeezing me in within 1+ weeks. The team came in, worked hard, communicated during the whole process and respected my home by laying down tarps, wearing booties etc... I could go on and on with examples, but this review is getting very lengthy and I should stop. Suffice it to say, I am very, very satisfied with the work, product, price, communication and employees. The zoned system after a few adjustments, cools our home very comfortably, evenly, quietly and removed the humidity. Everything I asked for. Comfort Authority did a great job, what they tell you during the sales pitch is what you get, which is refreshing. They follow through with what they promise. They never tried to shortcut any process. With projects this size they may not get everything 100% right the first time, but they make it right. No questions, they make it right.. Very refreshing. I would 100% recommend this company.

The day before we moved out of our condo the AC went out - we had a tenant moving into the unit in 3 days and needed resolution FAST! I checked Yelp and found TCA, I submitted an online inquiry, someone called a few minutes later, they sent a technician out the next day who diagnosed the issue (new unit was needed), the sales guy came out and gave us our options, the next day Shaun installed the unit! W O W - TCA was responsive, fair, professional and kept us informed every step of the way. If you need AC work done, call The Comfort Authority! UPDATE PART II New house had an AC issue, I called the folks that the previous owners used (bad decision) hoping it was under warranty, they came out and said everything looked fine - same issue happened again a few days later!! #seriously Called TCA again and they came out to find there were indeed MANY issues! James was my superhero - he took pictures from the attic and then walked me through what was going on with the system (in language I could understand) and then went over our options. I loved that he also wore booties over his shoes in the house and a mask. There is a reason TCA is 5 stars ***** Don't waste your $$ on any other AC company, go with TCA!

After paying for a service agreement for 2 years, I called this morning for service and was told I had to wait until the next day. This is definitely not what I expected for my annual contract.

I thought I was having a good experience with The Comfort Authority. The service call went okay. But they never could generate an accurate invoice. I kept asking and asking, and eventually they just dropped it, because apparently they couldn't do it. They didn't contact me to tell me they couldn't. They just never sent it. When the back-office functions don't work, it always makes me wonder: If they can't manage the business competently, should I be trusting the work? I don't like that feeling; it doesn't inspire me. I'm not an HVAC expert, so I have to rely on all available information to assess a company. I will NOT be using Comfort Authority again.

My wife and I needed to completely replace our 26-year-old A/C and heating system in our home and conducted a thorough search with multiple estimates to select the best partner. We went with The Comfort Authority based on their outstanding reviews as well as a solid experience from the start, beginning with speaking with Kalyn and Gerri on the phone to arrange an appointment for evaluation and estimate. This continued when James came out to our home for a thorough assessment of our needs and to develop several options for our estimate. Install day was just as great of an experience with Peter, Shaun and Adrian. The three of them were extremely professional and completed the install in the exact timeline estimated. They even took time to show me exactly the work they did and walk me through how to use the new wi-fi enabled thermostat. The new system is working extremely well, and we couldn't be happier so far. Certainly do your homework when looking for a company to service your heating and cooling, and be sure that homework includes taking a look at The Comfort Authority.
