This company deserves a negative star review!! DO NOT use this company!!!! They seem great in the beginning and the refuse to take responsibility for putting in the wrong part in my A/C and causing even more damage to my system!!! They refused to acknowledge that they did anything wrong and just put them blame on a company that could not come out the day I called them.. The owner refuses to contact you directly and can't be professional enough to admit the wrong doing.. Having to take legal action just to retain the extensive amount of money it cost me for THEIR mistake.. Please reconsider if you are going to use this company!!

These guys are good. They knew where my leak was and got it fixed quickly. I cut out the wall they jumped right in, pulled the leaky spigot out put the new one in cleaned up offered advice, advice taken. Works like new. We will put them on our preferred list for both facilities.

We bought a new AC system from the AC Hero almost 2 year ago. They told us the 1st year they would come out twice to service the new system, never showed up. We had 2 issues the 1st year, they never came out. Then I received a text from them last week stating that as a "valued customer" they had openings during the month of May to service the system for a certain am't. 1st appt- no show, they finally called and asked to reschedule. 2nd appt, no show again, they text and rescheduled at the end of the day then 3rd was yesterday- no call, no show. I contacted them they said they were behind and instead of 9 am they would be there "Next". At 4 pm I called them and was told they do not service my area. I informed them they do because they installed my new system. He says "we did"? Really. Asked for a call from the supervisor, still no call and it's 3 hrs shy of 24 hours. Stay away from this company. Techs seem very nice but very poorly run business. You have lost my business.

I had an AC "complete system" (quoted from the invoice) installed at my house. The complete system did not include copper coolant pipes. At the end of the installation, a kink in the pipes was pointed out by the installing tech, and he mentioned I might want to replace them. I asked if it was necessary, since the prior system seemed to run fine with that kink (also, one potential option is that the kink wasn't there prior to installation, although I am not sure). He said "it might and it might not" run fine. The system proceeded to not run fine. The company came out several times, EIGHT TIMES to be exact, after the installation in order to attempt to make the system work properly. They did not send a more experienced technician until the 8th time, and he discovered that the wires from the prior system had been left in place and were touching the system, causing electrical issues. Once those were ripped out, the system functioned perfectly.

The 1 star is because they did deliver a functioning system, eventually.
1 star removed because AC Hero proceeded to charge me a diagnostic fee to figure out what was wrong with my system, which was under both parts and workman's warranties, of $189.00. This was after I had already paid in full for the new copper coolant pipes, in addition to the "complete system."
1 star removed because AC Hero proceeded to charge me half the labor, $474.00, to replace a part on my system, which was under full warranty for labor and parts still, and had been installed less than 30 days prior.
1 star removed because AC Hero justified both of the above charges by claiming I should have had the copper coolant pipes replaced with the rest of the system, which wasn't part of the initial estimate/recommendation, and I went with their highest cost recommendation.
1 star removed because their 8th time coming out, when the system was fixed, the experienced technician made a strong recommendation regarding an additional part that cost only $256.00. I have subsequently called and requested the part to be installed, and was told AC Hero's owner has instructed them to perform no new work for me.

EDIT: 2 stars added back due to them coming out to meet with the city/county inspector and make sure the system passed inspection. And they installed the final part at no charge.

They are a rip off. We are a small local Eyecare company in the area for over 20 years and called them out for a service call and diagnosis We were given a quote before they came out of $189. We were handed a bill of $816 and nothing was fixed. We called and spoke with several "managers" and were given the run around. We were told that was a standard practice. When asked about being quoted $189 for service call and diagnosis -- they fumbled and said the tech had to search for parts and that took him 5 hours. The tech never left our parking lot to do anything. He sat in his truck eating up time and billing us for nothing. They are a bait and switch operation and would never recommend them to any of our local business or homeowners in the area. They absolutely did nothing at all and want $816 what a rip off!!!!!

They are a nightmare! BEWARE BEFORE DOING BUSINESS. I called them after the ice storm this spring because I had flooding. I asked for and needed a plumber. The sent out an AC person and didn't even tell me they didn't have a plumber available. After he did the work wrong and left a hole in my drywall they sent another man out who understandably was exhausted after working 18 hours, BUT he did not do the job right. All he did was make it so I had access to water. He was supposed to come back. He took my money on my credit card and never came back.

I called for two weeks every morning. I talked to Sarah to try and get the plumber to return to my home. When I asked to speak to a manager they wouldn't let me. When I went to their office to try and talk to them they just yelled at me that I wasn't supposed to be there and made me leave.

They charged me both for the service call with the AC man and then again for the plumber to come out and fix. But after taking my money they never finished the job. I am now out my money and they never did the work or even talked to me to try and resolve.

I understand after the storm they were very busy, but that doesn't mean they should just steal your money and not do the work and then be rude when you go to them to try to talk to them.

BEWARE of this company! They should be called The AC ZERO!! Just like others have said in their reviews - this company lies to you and tries to sell you something that you don't need. They are incompetent! The owner Jayme would not return phone calls because he doesn't give a damn about his customers. His wife's nephew, Tyler, who says he was the best tech for the company is also incompetent and I caught him repeatedly lying. I was having my daughter's heating & air fixed by them. She lives in The Colony. I should have looked at his reviews first. This business will not be around long the way Jayme runs it. I won't go into long details, but they tried to sell her a $14,000 unit and I ended up paying $3,600. Her home was supposed to be good to go for at least 5 years according to nephew Tyler. I asked him to service the outside units by using a coil cleaner and taking the grates off and gently cleaning the system where it wouldn't bend the fins which is the proper way to do it. This idiot Tyler sent me a picture where he used a high pressure hose, bent the fins, didn't take the grate off, didn't use coil cleaner. As I said - incompetent. At first he lied to me and said he did and after I looked at the pictures I could tell he never took the grate off, but just used a high pressure hose. These people are stupid. Of course then, three or four days later, the outside compressor stopped working. It didn't make it 5 days, much less 5 years! Jayme's wife sent my daughter a rude text, but still no call from Jayme. The first excuses for not calling was Jayme was sick, and then it quickly became "our fault" when my daughter texted them again. Stay away from this company! Read the reviews from Matt V, Angela N, Brenda M, Alan C, Jayesh G, & John H along with mine Aaron S. They basically all have a similar story. I would welcome Jayme to call me. But you know it's a waste of time arguing with these dishonorable people. Jayme is responsible as owner for these bad reviews. He won't remain in business long with reviews like these. DON'T DO BUSINESS WITH THEM.

BUYER BEWARE!! IF I COULD GIVE NO STARS, I WOULD. I rarely leave reviews because I believe if you can't say something positive, don't say anything at all, but I can't stand by quietly while these guys cheat and lie to people. This company reflects ownership that has zero integrity. Our A/C unit quit working last summer. After 15-20 attempts to get through to them, they sent a technician that misdiagnosed our issue, lied to us about the part being 6 weeks back-ordered but charged us for 2 service calls w/no results. Then radio silence for 3 weeks til I started continuously calling and someone picked up. This guy said that he was a supervisor & how the tech had been fired but, to his credit, the supervisor came out immediately to help move things forward...it being August & all. He was very nice so when he told me that the mobile home model we needed had been discontinued and that all other mobile home AC units were either incompatible w/our model home or of poor quality and likely to start a house fire, I believed him. He quoted me a $6,500.00 "system" (meant for a brick & mortar residence) which included fixing the floor underneath the area that supports an AC unit. They came and installed this unnecessarily giant unit (easily 3x the weight of the broken one) but didn't fix the floor so this unit was installed by them to sit on nothing but linoleum...making it a time bomb. Almost immediately after installation we called them to ask why it was so loud but our calls were met with indifference and them sending a tech out to tell us there was nothing wrong with our brand new system. I'm not exaggerating here when I say that it almost sounds like jet engines revving up when the unit comes on. It's so loud you can't hear people talking to you from 6 ft away. Forget trying to watch the TV that's 12 feet away. It's driving us insane yet all they say is, "We aren't going to do anything about this." So we're stuck with a unit we never needed BECAUSE THEY LIED, placed on a fragile floor ready to collapse BECAUSE THEY LIED and won't even respond to our pleas to come move the unit on the day we have the floor fixed ourselves BECAUSE THEY GOT OUR MONEY AND HAVE NO INTEGRITY OR INTEREST IN HONORING THEIR WORD. I wouldnt6recommend this company to my worst enemy and we will be exploring legal action against these CROOKS.

Charged me $609 to cap a busted pipe and told me they will come back in a couple weeks to really fix it which will be a separate cost. Some people want to help in times of a of a declared national disaster while others like to take advantage of the situation and price gouge! The AC Hero unfortunately likes to take advantage! First plumber found leak but part wouldnt work so charged me $180 trip fee and sent a second plumber out who was supposed to have the part needed. Second plumber came a couple hours later but didn't have the part either so all he could do was put a cap on the pipe to stop leak and said they would come back later to actually fix it.. He charged me $429 more to put a cap on the end of a pipe. When I asked why it cost so much I was told it's because it was considered an Emergency repair!?! Who knows how much the charge is going to be when they actually fix it!!!!

As a former employee (Responsible Master Plumber) I worked there for 1 year (only because I signed a one year contract). I went back to work for myself at Trinity Plumbing and Drain, in Dallas and surrounding areas. Unfortunately, I referred several of my "old customers" to The AC Hero while working their (which I never got compensated for) and was informed by EVERY ONE OF THEM that they will NEVER use The AC Hero again! VERY Unethical!!
