It's hard to come by companies today who show up when they say they will, efficiently diagnose the problem and then charge you a fair and reasonable price. Texas Air Conditioning Specialist has been out to my condo twice now to fix issues. Both times they were prompt, professional and resolved the issue in a matter of minutes, once for no charge! I'd highly recommend these folks and will continue to use them in the future.

That is what I was saying when I heard my AC compressor go snap crackle pop. After doing the breaker check and trying it all again and getting an even bigger snap crackle pop, plus some dramatic smoke, I knew I was in for a treat, a 2k plus kind of treat.

But TAC made it as easy as possible. Their phone service called me within the hour and asked if I wanted a weekend appearance or a Monday appearance. Since it was Sunday evening, I opted for Monday. Regardless the technician himself called me on Sunday as well.

TAC was on time and had me up and completely functional by noon on Monday. They explained how lucky I was to get in on the old Freon style compressors before they were completely phased out. If they had not found me the old Freon style compressor, I would have had to replace everything - including the coil inside. That would have been a 6K plus kind of treat!

Thank you TAC. No cutting necessary after all.

These repairmen are wonderful!
They fixed a problem with our outside unit earlier in the summer.
On 9/14 we called them in because our Carrier variable speed motor was making a pulsing sound.
Brent told us that the motor would eventually quit.
Of course we were out of warranty by 2 years.
But since we used them before, they charged minimally for the installation of a new motor.
On 9/15 Joshua installed the motor. They changed the design of the motor and we suspect it is because they were breaking down during the warranty period and becoming a real Carrier company expense. So the replacement part was different and Joshua was here longer replacing the part. But they charged me the installation that they quoted me the previous day.
On 9/16 the motor was blowing really well, but the house was not cooling off. Brent came out and instantly saw that our coils were frozen, there was water in the drip pan and the drain line was stopped up. All things leading to the outside unit cutting off automatically. Coming on, cutting off.
That ain't no way for my A/C to act when I bring all these fine looking young men in to lay hands on it!
Brent went to the big guns to blow out the line. Then turned on the heat and did some maintenance on the outside unit while the coils unfroze.
With the heat on...I was getting all nostagic for fall and cold weather and Christmas. The smell of the heater turned on for the first time is glorious after a hot summer.
My dryer vent is right next to the outside unit and one side of my unit was covered in dryer debris. We are thinking that the stoppage in the line might be caused by the thicker filters I use for relief from the allergens in the air. Between the two, my line was plugged even though I put Chlorox down the line every month when I change the filter.
Brent put it all back together and my husband was shivering in no time. He likes it at 80 and I like it at 70. What can I say; it's a constant battle over the thermostat at my house.
I asked how much I owed him for this visit and he said didn't you just pay me for a motor yesterday? Well, yeah, but I'm still used to being screwed. Hahahahaha...No charge and he spent and hour and a half here.
Love that they return your calls on the same day. Love that they show up on time. Love that they can work you in. Love that they know how to diagnose a problem in no time. Love that they can complete repairs even when the manufacturer makes parts that aren't exactly the same.
Love them, Love them!!!! I signed up for the annual looksee in March. Use these guys. They are terrific!

I contacted this company based on the excellent reviews. The A/C pipes were backed up which resulted in a leak in next to a return air vent. I contacted them and they said they could send someone out right away. I opted to get them in the morning and they showed an hour and half early. They did prompt work and did an excellent job. I have found an A/C company for all future work.

Amazing company! I thought the reviews were too good to be true, but it is all true! They arrived early. Owner answered an early morning call cheerfully. The technician came earlier than expected and was so polite. Turned out dirty filters froze up our unit in the 100+ Texas temps. He checked and cleaned our line, told us exactly what to do to thaw and prevent the problem from happening again. We will ALWAYS call them in the future!!!!

I have had a good experience with them. Someone promptly answered the phone and after asking some questions diagnosed the basic problem over the phone before setting up the appointment. The person who come home, came on time and got the job done efficiently. The price was reasonable and they also gave me a 10% discount when I told them I found them on yelp.
Overall I am very happy with their service and would definitely recommend them.

Another good review for you Yelpers. "No cool" situation on one of my ACs this past weekend. Found frozen freon line. Called these folks based on + reviews I saw elsewhere. "Brent" was on site within an hour, charged both my ACs, and let me know the units I have are notorious for leaks (and have ext warranties as a result). My house is cool again for only $70!
