We had a sewer backup on Saturday New Years day.
We have sewer insurance but when I called they could not come till Monday.
I have used Terry's plumbing on two other occasions and I was always very happy with them.
I did not want to call them as the insurance would of paid for the fix.
I could not wait 3 days to get a plumber so I had to call Terry.
Terry himself came on New Years day and snaked out the sewer.
What a godsend as we could not use the toilets or the water or shower.
Terry was in and out in 20 minutes and I was extremely happy with his service.
If you are looking for a plumber you can not go wrong with Terry's Plumbing.

ok here goes my first review for 2022
it's New Years day
and of course our sewer back ups ...
Incase you don't know the real reason for the Pittsburgh Potties
is so folks would know when their fancy new city sewer was backing up
called the sewer line insurance co. Of course they can't come for 3 days
We don't have an outhouse so thats a problem.
A few years back Terrys plumbing installed a toilet for us we were satisfied.
I figured a phone call can't hurt.
Terry called me back 10 min later
1 hour later he was at my door
1/2 hour later sewer unclogged
The price he quoted on the phone was the price we paid.
It was not as cheap as some of those other companies advertise BUT Terry himself was here on New Years day and we can now flush our toilets and wash our hands etc.
its now a happy new year at our house

Had an appointment set up they claim that since I did not answer my phone within the five minutes they give they move on. They are well aware of the leak I have not a care in the world that I didn't answer within the five minute window. So people don't chase your kids hold that phone every moment if you need service! What a shame!

We first used Terry's plumbing last year for a second opinion after the plumbing company associated with our home warranty tried to tell us we had a problem with our plumbing that would be over 10,000 to repair. Terry came and found a problem that was under 200 dollars to fix. He is honest, reliable, and responsive. This year, we had another small backup in our basement. Terry came again quickly and fixed the problem and even made a return visit to assess the issue. We will be using him exclusively in the future for any future problems and will recommend him to anyone local!

Terry himself was very good friends with my father, Frank, who gave him lots of business as a caretaker at a large apt. building in Bellevue. Sadly, Terry has hired morons...as I will now explain.
Ad states 24 hour phones. Called at 5:15 and got answering service. The young female Haley answering the phone fumbled thru the ""script"" and seemed to have no clue what I needed (very simple - replace a faucet and one of two shutoff valves right under it. Repeated it. Clueless. Hung up as I was asking..""so, when will someone call me""...?????
Sink basin already was removed, wide open access. Super easy.

Send a plumber Chris 11am next day. Told him and showed him EXACTLY what to do. He comes down and hands me a $306 estimate to replace TWO shutoff valves (including one which is fine..) and NOT INCLUDING installing the new faucet... which he saw, new in box, sitting right there. Immediately told him - ""this is now why I called, not what I said, not what I WANT"" He persisted, would NOT replace faucet. Inexplicable !! Finally, told him to replace only the bad shutoff and to leave. $268 for one valve that took him less than 10 mins. Chris spent much more time telling me why he would not do the plumbing work I wanted done !!! Called and asked for Terry to call me...no return call after two days. How sad. From Haleys apparent poor instructions to Chris inability to listen to why he was there and what I wanted done ....AWFUL experience.
A once quality plumber now turning into the new Gileece ??!!!!! Never, ever call these people...even with a bone simple job like this

I had plumbing issue of a snake that broke off while having my drain snake, which caused my basement drain to backup.. Moving forward had several plumbers come out reach all said basement floor needs dug up to access the pipes. All need replace with cost upwards of $4500. And up.. once all realize insurance was involved definitely it needs to be done.. this morning I got up went walking, prayed, let the last plumber come, when I called and canceled yesterday. Terry's plumbing came today within 10 minutes, reach into drain pulled and broken snake out, and said do not pay anyone for something doesn't need repaired! God is so Amazing! Thank You Terry's Plumbing!

Thank you Terry's Plumbing for the fantastic job that you did fixing my gas line and meter! They came right away to fix the problem after a large tree fell and damaged my gas line and meter, leaving me with no gas, no hot water, etc. Terry and his plumbers were not only incredibly knowledgeable, skilled and professional, they were also very kind and courteous. I highly recommend them for any job, large or small!

Needed a sewer line inspection as part of buying a house. They were initially very responsive--scheduled the inspection within a week, arrived on time to do the inspection. We paid when they were done.

Then, nothing. They never delivered a report or an estimate. When I called, I was told they ""had to check with the plumber"" and would get back to me. Never called back, never sent the report. They completely screwed me over. Pocketed my money for the inspection and ran. (Ironically, had they just delivered the report I paid for, I might be hiring them for a multi-thousand dollar job right now. But instead I'm writing this bad review.)

Very disappointed. Plumber had a bad attitude when he walked in the door and was very unprofessional.

We had a drain issue under the bathroom where the drain ran below the toilet along the ceiling of the garage. Our contractors who was working on our bathroom remodel provided specific information of where the issue was located drain and suggested I get a plumber to assist to help save money. We called plumber to assist with fix which would require opening the drywall in the ceiling of the garage to look at drain pipe.

Plumber was annoyed that he didn't have a ladder that could reach to 12 foot ceiling and argued with our contractors on the phone about the issue trying to say that it had to do with bathroom remodel. He was unwilling to take the time to open up drywall and look at the issue.

Our contractors(who are very reputable) quietly said on the side that we should let him go.

We are very easy to get along with as people and bend over backwards(sometimes to a fault) for people when we ask for help. This gentleman was unprofessional when he walked in the door and started complaining right away when he saw what the job entailed. In the end, we paid 69 dollars for someone to come in and complain, leaving the only recommendation which was re-set the wax ring in the toilet which was completely ridiculous.

I used them before for a hot water tank and I thought the job was ok. I won't be using them again.

Called Terry's to come an replace some copper pipe in my laundry room that had pin holes and was leaking. They did the job they showed up to do; however, their price was outrageous!!!! It took the plumber no more than 30 minutes to complete the work. The price was $395 PLUS a $69 service fee. Grand total $464 for 30 minutes of work! When I called the office to see how this price was determined, I was told they price ""per job"", not an hourly rate plus materials. How can you justify a ""job price"" of $464 for 30 minutes of work. I had the same problem last year on a different section of my piping. Mertz (not Matt) did basically the same work and charged $159. Terry's price was 3x higher than what I paid Mertz last year. Of course, I called Mertz FIRST but their schedule was pretty full and they recommended Terry's. I have advised them to take Terry's off their list of recommended plumbers because they are price gougers. Never again will I use this company.
