Terry's Plumbing has provided the WORST service I have ever had from a contractor. I have lived in my condo for 12 years and never had a plumbing issue until they came and replaced my shower valve. Less than a year later the shower is leaking behind the wall and from the shower in exact area they were suppose to fix. The tech was here for 30 minutes and charged $900. I called them about the leak and they were extremely rude and said they only provide a warranty for 30 days. Then they said they would send someone out to look at it but then that time came and past. They didn't answer my call until I called from my husbands phone and then they said it will cost $150 an hour to come out. Their workmanship is HORRIBLE and their customer service is even worse. Do yourself a favor and DO NOT USE THEM!

This is an update to my original post below. VERY HAPPY! So yesterday, April 26th, Terry of Terry's Plumbing saw my low review online and he reached out to me to find out what exactly happened and why I was so dissatisfied. After I explained to him what happened and why I was unhappy he said """"that is not how we do business"""" and he promised to make it right. I also explained that I had use them previously and had always been very satisfied. They immediately reversed the credit card charge for my second visit and for the amount I paid to have a new faucet expressed shipped. And for my inconvenience he promised to install my new faucet at no charge once in arrives. I expressed my gratitude to him for reaching out and explained that we all make mistakes it's how they are handled that makes the difference. I am happy to say I will be using and recommending Terry's plumbing again. Thanks you so much Terry for making thing right! Previous Post On April 10th I called Terry's Plumbing, which I have used several time before, to have them install a separate cold water shut off under the kitchen sink for my refrigerator's water line. They knew what need to be done yet they didn't bring the part with them. They also gave me a service call price over the phone and a price per each additional hour. This in contrast to what their website states, which is """"free estimates"""". Good thing I was able to negotiated a flat fee price beforehand. They installed the part and left apparently without checking their work. While also charging me a surcharge for using my AMEX. Again the additional fee was not mention on their website. The next day when I used my faucet I discover I had low flow in the kitchen faucet only. I immediately checked to make sure the valves where fully opened, which they were, and that the end of the sprayer was clean of any debris which it was. So I called Terry's plumbing again and explained the problem. They said the plumber was out sick and they would send someone in a few days. When the plumber arrived for the second time he removed the valves and checked the pressure which was fine. He quickly put everything back together and said it was an issue with my facet, which was working fine before they installed the valve. As he left he told me for $100.00 he would install a new facet. I told him I would do it myself and my facet my warrantied for life. Two minutes later another knock on the door asking for $50.00 for a water pressure check. I said shouldn't have you done that the first time before you left? He said sorry I have to charge you another $50 plus the surcharge for using AMEX. Again no notice of a price any point during the scheduling or when he arrived as it states """"free estimates"""" on their website. I reluctantly paid the $50.00 and told them I would never do business with them again. Hire at your own risk, seems shady!

This plumber is what gives plumbers a bad name,I called for a backed up drain,they came out and snaked it,5 days later it was backing up again,they came back and this time they used a camera,800$ for the camera they said the pipe was completely blocked and it would cost 7000$ to repair.I asked them to email me my receipt and the proposal so I could look into my insurance.The next day I didn't receive either in my mail,and after several calls,by closing time I still didn't receive an email,meanwhile I called around and another company came out,they also used a camera 400$ charge that would be canceled if I used their company (Terry's only offered 1/2back),and their estimate was2500-3500,so they started work.The next day went by with multiple phone calls yet no email,not even the receipt for the 800$ I already paid!The next day by around 2-3 pm I finally did get my receipt and estimate,again stating 7000$ plus they did leave openings for increasing the price, I called to let them know I decided to go with a different company and then they said they would give back the 800,I told them even with that they were too high,then to add insult to injury,they tried telling me they sent the wrong estimate,mine was only 2700$""""""""..I reminded them they told us in person 7000,how could it now suddenly drop,now on top of thieves they chose to be liars,not a company I would ever do business with again!

Called Ricky today to get a quote on a total drain replacement. Didn't really want to give me the time of the day. Wanted to charge me $350 to RE camera the drain to tell me exactly what I know needs to be done. I offered to provide the camera viewing from a different company that shows what the problem is. Clear to see drain needs replacement in first 30 secs of video (complete waste of time and money to do it again!) Regardless the $350 charge was more important than getting a quote. I was fine paying $ for service trip btw But... they will not provide quote in writing. Kinda lost with the fact that they won't give a written estimate. Especially considering the job could run $10,000! Expected more from the customer service level. Expected to be able to get a written quote Sad that a customer who is looking to spend ALOT of money was brushed off so quickly.

We recently went through a 2 week debacle (see Grand Rooter review) when Terry's Plumbing was referred by a friend. We called left a message on a Saturday evening, they immediately called us back, we made an appointment for that coming Monday, they arrived on-time, charged us half of what the other plumbing company quoted (that didn't even include everything we needed) and completed the job within hours (other company made up a story about unavailable parts that caused a significant delay). We could not be happier with Terry's Plumbing--Terry and his team (Jose) went above and beyond, even fixing things we didn't realize were in need of repair. Being that we are first time home buyers, its difficult finding companies you can trust. You can trust this company--I highly recommend them! Thank you, Terry's Plumbing in Greater Fort Lauderdale!

Have used Terry's several times over the years and was always pleased with service until today. Receptionist sole purpose was to sell $350 camera inspection, and when this was declined, plumber charged $350 for a 5 minute snake job which cleared the line. Plumber's secondary role was to attempt to sell a $275 cut hole-in-the wall-job on another visit when $9 worth of supplies from hardware store completed the job in less than 5 minutes after he left. Called Terrys Plumbing this morning and they were so nice and professional too! I was happy when they said they could have a tech out this same afternoon to repair my kitchen faucet & my disposal that was leaking. Especially because it was Friday! Steve R., their tech, Was very knowledgeable and did an amazing job fixing both of my repairs and also 2 toilets. He also cleaned up after himself and took all the old equipment with him! So happy to have it all done quickly and I have a new kitchen sink & disposal to use with the weekend starting tonight!

Called Terry's for a clog in line from master bathroom. Plumber came out and snaked the line through the clean out to septic tank. $175.00. That evening, the backup occurred again. Next day plumber returned and snaked the line again and suggested using a camera to see why the clog occurred. Agreed to camera $350.00...camera did not show anything. Plumber said to call roto rooter to empty septic tank. Wrong diagnosis...my septic tank was not full. Another plumber snaked the kitchen line to septic tank $125.00 and used camera $150.00 and cleared out the line and is now clog free. Spent $525.00 with Terry's for nothing. Do not recommend. I do recommend Plumbing Mart

I called this company after another one did not show up. I thought I had a simple problem with my tub. It turned out that when my bathroom was redone about 11 yrs ago, the quack who did the plumbing did not do it correctly and the pipes were corroding and leaking. The simple job turned into a big one. Being inexperienced in plumbing and needing it fixed, I agreed to the cost of $875. They arrived on time , went out and got the supplies from the plumbing supply store and were done with the job in a very reasonable time. I do not think that 5% should be added like it was to the bill to use a credit card. Retail stores do not do this. Cant compare to know if they overcharged. I think they did. But, Steve knew what he was doing. He was very professional.

In the past, I have used Terry's plumbing a couple of times. They were quite responsive and did a decent job. Today, unfortunately, was a TOTALLY DIFFERENT experience. We needed a part replaced in the back of the toilet. When we called, we were told $100 minimum charge. Knowing it wouldn't take long, we understood that was the minimum. When the tech arrived, he tried to charge $125, stating that he had to drive 30 minutes to get to our home. Stephanie, the unprofessional representative of Terry's Plumbing, told me the job took 9 minutes. Unfortunately, based on the level (or lack thereof) of service, on the telephone that I received this evening, along with the change in price from $100 to $125 for a 9 minute job, I cannot in good faith ever recommend these folks again. NOTE: We ultimately only paid $100, but the fact that the tech tried to quote another amount, despite the fact that this was a 9 minute job makes me question integrity. Customer service is not a nice to have; it's a must have in today's world. The woman's lack of service on the telephone resulted in their loss of a customer who was loyal and recommended them to others in the past. After today, I can no longer recommend this company. When I told her I wanted to speak to the owner, she told me that wasn't possible and that she WAS the manager. I asked her multiple times how I could reach Terry, and was never provided an answer. If you call on them, good luck, and be aware of the prices to ensure you're not overcharged.
