I don't like to slam any company but am writing this so other people can avoid being scammed.

I had a block in my main pipe and called Team-Rooter. They responded quickly and sent out a tech who was super friendly. He tried to snake it out but said the block was beyond the snake, so he would have to come back with the hydro-jet the next morning, and the charge would be more like over $100. I agreed because it seemed reasonable. So the next day they brought over the hydrojet and supposedly ran it (I saw the hydrojet but I have children and could not stand there and watch them run it) and they said it didn't work. They would have to dig a hole in my front yard and make another clean out, this time it would cost something like $400. I agreed as again this seemed reasonable. They started digging the hole and then said even with that, the snake didn't work to reach the roots that clogged my line, and now they needed to either: 1) try ""one more time"" to hydrojet to the tune of $3500, which according to their plumber had a ""50-50 chance"" of working, or 2) dig a hole in my sidewalk which would cost -- I kid you not -- $23,500!

At this point, I halted everything and got a referral from a friend of a trusted plumber (which obviously I should have done in the first place). He came out, looked at it, snaked it out, made another clean-out, all for $1500! If I continued with Team-Rooter, I would have been out $20,000+!

I called Team-Rooter and said I would pay the initial fee of $44, but would not pay the hundreds of dollars they had subsequently charged, given what I discovered. They claimed they had ""loosened"" the roots for my plumber, which makes no sense because it they were good enough to loosen it, why couldn't they unblock it?

I asked this trusted plumber if it's possible Team-Rooter had hydrojetted or somehow ""loosed"" the roots, and he said no. He also showed me images from the camera and I saw the roots, and they had not been ""loosened.""

So I dodged a bullet. Just saying that if you can get your line unclogged for $44, great. But if they keep upselling you, beware and get a second opinion!

Great online appointment and communications system, and arrived quickly, but didn't clear the clog, even after the $44 special for easy access (which I have) turned into $129! He had only used a hand-held snake so I asked if he had a larger snake and he said 'no.' Then he offered to 'hydrojet' the line for $325. I said 'no' and he left without charging me, but I still had a clogged drain. After posting this review with '1 star' I got a call from the manager apologizing and offering to try again. A supervisor came out, snaked the line with a drum-type snake and seems to have cleared the line. Because of the hassle, they didn't charge for clearing the line. Two more stars for eventually getting the job done at no charge, but two more to go when they start treating the customer better the first time and better explain the limitations of their $44 Special online. The saga continues -- after cleaning up we now have a leak. The drain from the RO system was clogged. When reassembling the drains under the sink they should have checked both the dishwasher and RO drains to make sure they weren't clogged as well. Back to 1 star.

Setting the appointment on the phone was easy. I didn't have to repeat my name or address or special instructions. He got it right the first time. That's unheard of in 2018.

The company sent an email with the name and a picture of Israel Tamariz the plumber so we'd know who to expect. All good signs.

Israel was here in less than an hour. He was an EXTREMELY pleasant and knowledgeable guy. He knew my name and introduced himself with a smile and a handshake. He fixed our problem right away.

Absolute pleasure to work with! Very professional - had an emergency with a busted pipe in the kitchen almost midnight... called up team rooter around 11:50 pm and they were at my house around 12:30 (EXCEPTIONAL as far as I'm concerned) but maybe not the norm expected timeframe...
got the job done within an hour in a professional and courteous manner. Cleaned up their mess and left me 10000% Satisfied. Found these guys from a referral by a friend in the middle of the night and def saved on my phone for all future emergency and regular plumbing services.

Stellar service. They cleaned out a kitchen drain that wasn't draining and were able to tell me exactly why it wasn't draining. Kitchen sink has been clogged for over a day, the water had not moved an inch. Edwin arrived within an hour of calling, that too on a holiday. He did a splendid job unclogging our kitchen sink, no mess whatsoever. We are super happy with the service, he's also a really nice guy! Would recommend Team Rooter - 10/10.

Team Rooter gave me a very reasonable quote for installing a clean-out for my sewer line. Due to the age of my house, the small diameter of the pipes, the slab foundation, and access issues, it was extremely difficult for Team Rooter to install a clean-out. There were up to four plumbers there at one point in the day and after almost 9 hours of hard work, they successfully installed the clean-out. They NEVER tried to increase the price of the work due to the difficulties with installation. Moreover, they had a good crew and a great attitude. I would definitely use them again!

Edwin was my technician, he was so pleasant and knowledgeable about what was going on with my pipes and drainage issues! Edwin was thoughtful and respectful of my home. He was expedient and thorough.
