I chose a few plumbers that had good reviews on Yelp and hit the ""Request a Quote"" button with the following message:


Hi,
I'd like your help in getting a quote to unclog a toilet that has been clogged with wood dust (Feline Pine kitty litter). I've tried using a plunger and a toilet auger without success, so I think it's time to bring in a professional.

This isn't an emergency since we have a second bathroom. Please provide me with an estimate and when you think you'd be able to come. I live in Redwood Shores.



Many of the plumbers responded back with their contact information asking me to call them to get a quote. That was disappointing. I figured I'd given them enough info to at least give me price range based what it might take to fix the problem.

However, Taz Plumbing responded back with a price and what they would do be able to do at that price point. I made an appointment and there were no issues. They showed up on time, fixed the problem, made sure everything worked before they left, and cleaned everything up.

Great experience. No issues. Reasonable price. I'd recommend them.

I don't usually do reviews but these guys deserve it - they answered my phone call late in the day, came promptly, and did a great job. I had three smaller things that needed fixing and they dealt with them quickly and thoroughly. Very nice, courteous guys and great service. Highly recommend them. Thank you Ty and Gee!

Great company good people I have a water heater leak , I called to get it looked at what I thought was gonna be major ended up being just a hot water hose . Now they could have taken advantage of me but didn't honest and great work.

Fantastic service! Woke up to blocked toilets and tub backup. Scheduled for them to come after work. They returned my voicemail to confim and showed up exactly as scheduled. Super friendly too! couldn't be happier :)

Super fast response to a couple backed up drains in a house we just moved into. Very friendly and thorough, made sure I knew all about what was going on. Turned out to be a blockage in the sewer main. Had to call in a bit of backup, but made sure I was ok with it schedule-wise and everything. Hydro-pumped all the vents, replaced a wax seal on a toilet, and we were good as new!

Awesome service - I would have no hesitation in calling them again should the need arise!

We had a roof leak and wouldn't you know it, the wall we had to replace had our tankless water heater mounted on it. Jeebz was able to come remove it from the wall, then put it back on the new wall, within a couple of days. He was on time and did a great job, even letting us know that he should replace a valve that we hadn't noticed had stopped working. 100% would recommend-thanks, Jeebz!

I had an emergency situation and Taz came right out to give me a diagnosis and a firm, reasonable bid.

They didn't have a specialized part ready-to-hand and their distributor was closed--it was a Sunday--so I ended up going with another plumber who thought he could finish the job on that same day. He was wrong, as it turned out.

I've never given a five-star review to a tradesman I didn't use, but Taz was so professional, forthright, and friendly that I'm going to make this a first.

I emailed Taz Plumbing with a brief description of our problem - a partially blocked sanitary line. Mike replied by email, suggested they come out to look at it. I called Mike's number and didn't get Mike but spoke to another person and made an appointment for 4.30 pm today. It's now 6 pm, nobody has shown up, nobody has called and when I try calling Mike, the voice mail is full so I can't leave a message.
