We tried TAZ plumbing for a simple job of capping a a refrigerator's water supply line (something I could do, normally; but due to some medical issues I didn't want to take a chance). Two people showed up but one of them stayed in the van. The one who came in claimed he had never seen a 1/4"" copper supply line (It is a standard size and very common in practice). Then he claimed that he needed to crawl under the house (not sure for what other than killing some time or taking a dump, etc). When I asked him why he needed to crawl under the house, he gave me some BS answer that made no sense. BTW, I asked what the charge was for something this simple, to which he said $375.00! I replied that is too much for a five minute job. He countered he could charge $250.00. At which point I said: no, thank you and escorted him out. Don't go to these people for anything. They are not trustworthy.

Our shower cartridge was broken and none knew what brand it was. We had plumbers coming and going, because none of them could identify and find the cartridge. Alternative was to break the wall and install a new system (:o). Taz came in and said that he would find one. He did not charge for the visit, and in a few days called me and said that he found a place that can do a custom order of the part, since it has been discontinued. It arrived a week later and he came and installed it and we finally can shower again! Taz is super able, knowledgeable, and friendly. I will definitely keep him in my go to list.

We had a toilet that was fickle and often would not stop running. It could temporarily be fixed by playing with the float until it starts working again, but it would stop working again in a few days/weeks. I wanted someone to replace the fill valve.

Messaged Taz one evening. Got a fast response. I was quoted an acceptable amount to replace the fill valve and was scheduled for the next morning. Tech came out. Unfortunaly I was not home for the appointment, but my wife was. Told the tech we would like the fill valve replaced. The tech decided the fill valve did not need to be replaced and instead, spent a few minutes adjusting the float until the toilet was functioning. We were still charged the originally quoted amount.

Of course 2 weeks later, the toilet stops working. I do not want to wait for another appointment so I took the time to fix it myself by replacing the fill valve. Now the toilet works fine. Messaged Taz to let him know they did a poor job. And since my plumbing needs were solved without his help, he declined to follow up.

Unfortunately, many things went wrong during our transaction. Poor communication? A lazy technician? Perhaps I needed to be here during the appointment to be absolutely clear about what I wanted. But I shouldn't have to tell them how a toilet needs to be fixed. They provided a short term, shortcut solution but charged me the long term solution price.

I had a minor leak from under the tub door frame that was causing mold issues. Taz Plumbing responded quickly, and a technician was at my home within 24h. Jeeb was very professional. He made a thorough assessment of the issue, replaced the caulking around the tub door on both sides, and made recommendations on next steps if this sealant was insufficient. He also took the appropriate Covid precautions (including a mask). Cost was reasonable. I highly recommend Taz Plumbing and will be returning to them whenever I need help with anything plumbing related.

We had a bit of an emergency situation when we noticed that sewer water was coming out of pipes in our backyard. Gross, I know. We were immediately in a state of panic thinking about what the problem could be and how much it would cost to fix. This was the first plumbing issue we have had to deal with as home owners, so it's not like we had a trusted plumber on speed dial.

We turned to Yelp and were contacted by a few different companies, one of which was Taz. The first company that came out wanted to snake our line to find what the issue was. When Taz came out and saw what was happening, the guy said that snaking it wouldn't work and suggested doing some super power hydro cleaning thing. What he said made sense, so we had them do that the next day.

Keep in mind that the cleaning piece was really just so that they could then go in with a camera and identify the actual problem! Needless to say, I was scared to answer the door after they identified the problem, for fear that I was going to be told it would take $20k to fix it.... NO! I was told that there were roots in the line and they cleaned those out and that with yearly cleaning, we will be good for quite a while! They charged us for the cleaning and inspection and that was IT. Amazing.

Taz was professional, responsive, and ethical and we couldn't be happier with their service. We now have a trusted plumber on speed dial!
