Connected with them at the Home and Garden Show. They called on Monday to schedule an appt. to have someone come out to look at our boiler. We rearranged our work schedules and childcare to be home for the appointment.
Then they called today to say, ""we don't do appointments at that time, I don't know why they scheduled you for then"".
Then they had the audacity to ask, ""How can we earn your business?"", to which I replied, ""How about honoring your commitment to come at the time you said you would?""
They said, ""We can't do that.""
We originally had this company inspect the furnace and arranged for them to install a humidifier when we purchased our home in 2010. We were new to the area and had no idea about local companies. Over the last 5 years we have grown increasingly disappointed in them and cannot remain silent any longer. While their service guys are nice, they are apparently coached to up charge just about everything, quoting or charging hundreds of dollars more for services that other smaller, companies charge much less for. We got sucked into paying $1,200 for a humidifier that had to be replaced in 18 months - for an additional charge! Most recently, our draft inducer motor went out on a 10 YO furnace and Swan said they would charge us $1,162 to replace it. We did our own research and discovered that the motor only actually cost about $200. And, it was very easy to access, just inside the side panel. Charging nearly $1,000 in labor for a 30-45 minute install is insanely over-priced. Fortunately, we found another HVAC company that could do it for much, much less. We will never hire this company, again.
Karen G.So far so good, Matt. We get our Amana furnace serviced annually. This is the first time by Swan because we found a coupon for $49. The only trouble we have had with our furnace in the past 19 years was one $300 igniter. Matt pointed out a few parts that could possibly fail in the near future because of the age of the furnace. We will be doing our homework in the next week to check out prices and ratings of the new Amana furnace A/C systems so when Matt returns in a week to do an energy audit of our home we will be ready to talk about our options. We will also be getting a couple more estimates for comparison so stay tuned.......PS Matt was very professional and personable.
Liz K.Had Swan come out last year to do a furnace tune up on our new home. I let go the fact they were over 30 minutes late. They told us it was a matter of time before our furnace was going to crap out and we should look in to getting a new one. He listed a bunch of stuff wrong with it and what we should fix. Needless to say, we are still functioning fine with the same furnace. So, we decided to get a quote from them for A/C. We scheduled the appointment 2 weeks ago, the company kindly called days before to remind us. Not until 20 after the appointment time I finally got a call saying the employee was going to be another 30 to 45 minutes. Sorry, but I don't have all day to wait around for a company to get my business! I will go somewhere else!
Drilon installed a new ball valve for my external sprinkler system. He was extremely professional and showed me exactly what he was going to do before he did it. His work was quick, neat and clean up was as if he was never there. I will definitely call him again for any future plumbing needs. Great Job!!!
Just moved into the area and found a Swan coupon for Heating/Air Safety Inspection for $69. The service technician (Matt) arrived on time, was friendly and seemed professional. He spent about an hour inspecting my furnace/air unit, and about 15 minutes discussing issues he identified. He provided a list of items he said needed to be addressed, some immediately and others as soon as possible. The immediate items included: Dirty filter ($89), Exhaust Motor replacement ($636), Blowing Motor Capacitor replacement ($132), Duct cleaning ($525). Other items he said should also be addressed as soon as possible: A/C coil rusted (~$1900), Heat exchanger rusty (~$2500); and I should consider replacing the furnace.
Since my Lennox Heating/Air unit was only 10 years old, I thanked him for his inputs; and arranged for a second opinion by a couple of Heat/Air companies recommended through the HomeAdvisor website. Representatives from both companies looked over my furnace/air unit and said that other than replacing the filter and maybe cleaning the ducts, the other items were either normal wear or within specifications. They said the average life expectancy for my unit was about 20 years, and they did not see anything that indicated that it should be repaired/replaced at this time. I bought two filters from Home Depot for $60, and paid $215 for one of the companies to clean my ducts.
I'll let you draw your own conclusions about Swan, but I don't plan to use them again.
I called Swan to schedule a tune-up for my AC, I waited over a week for the appointment but thought its that time of year not a big deal. I'm a single mother fighting breast cancer I arranged for someone to be home 10-12 and to my disappointment no one showed up! I called at 12;30 to be informed that they need to reschedule the appointment for yet another week out. If this lack of commitment to customer service is any indication of how they perform as a company , I say no thanks!

Kate H.I have used SWAN twice now, once for the heating and once for the cooling. The technician was the same person both times and he was great. He was courteous, very knowledgeable and was happy to answer all of my questions to help me feel more comfortable with the HVAC, which is especially important as I am new to home ownership. They are reasonably priced and the service is excellent!
Chris G.Ace Hi Plumbing did a wonderful job. Post flood and in The Retreat, they came on Sundays, on time, did what they said they would do, explained everything, answered my questions, and are very kind, ethical people. I will use them again and again.
The ""Swan Heating and Air"" charged almost double price of the other company.
Don't trust the this website. The company they command pays referal fee to them.
Will not call any of the company from this website!!!!!!!!!!!!
