It's probably a stretch to say that you could look forward to having to call a plumber, but with Sutherland it comes close. I really enjoy working with this company. Their work is top notch and their crews are super friendly. We've had them out to the house twice now. Once to fix a leaky hose bib and once very last minute to replace a broken water heater. They have an incredible attention for detail. It's one thing to fix things, it's another to consider aesthetics and other finishing touches that make the final project look professional. Don't hesitate to call Sutherland for all your plumbing needs. I also appreciate being able to text them during business hours.

I'll post some before and after photos of our water heater project. We selected a GE heat pump water heater and love it. It lowered our electrical bill by about $25 in the first month.

Water heater started leaking and needed to be replaced. Called another place, made an appointment, they never showed. Went on Yelp and read more reviews and decided to give Sutherland a shot. Ti was very prompt, responsive, and forthright. He let me know exactly what the costs would be upfront, and got the job done quickly and professionally. It was a pleasure working with them. Wouldn't hesitate to do it again.

Don't be fooled by the other high ratings!! This is a VERY friendly, personal group of businessmen who know exactly how to manipulate customers and reviews, and inflate their charges while leaving you thinking that they are your best friends.
They offered to do several ""special"" services (fix a unhooked dryer vent hose, put in a clean-out drain, send me a detailed report on the problems with my previous hot water heater install) which they did NOT do.
They insisted that I needed to fix a prior hot water install, and instead did totally un-necessary work to the tune of $470 (they claimed it was un-permitted, when it had been permitted. They replaced a fully functional valve, and copper hoses that were NOT excessively worn.) They completed this repair before I realized that they were working on it; when I had stated that I wanted to investigate it further before it was started.
They partially disconnected my furnace while working on the water heater.
They talked me into a complete water-line replacement since I did have a leak in older PVC pipe. I am still uncertain how necessary this was, since they hurried me into a suddenly available ""opened"" repair schedule time-slot for the repair when they came out to simply assess the problem--before I had time to talk with my homeowner's insurance company or consider alternative bids.

Great service and communication. I have a rental home and could not come down. He made arrangements with the tenants, scheduled, communicated, took payment and even sent pictures all over phone, email and text. I did not feel uncomfortable or out of the loop even once. He took care of the job quick (replaced water heater) , comes with strong warranty , good customers service and reasonable prices. John will now be my ""go to"" for plumbing needs. Thanks!

My garbage disposal broke and I decided to call these guys and they came that day. Sean Anderson came out and he was very patient explaining everything because I know nothing about plumbing. He was also honest and I felt comfortable with that. He also replaced the questionable plumbing I had under my kitchen sink. Would totally recommend these guys! Really nice and friendly.

I called them because a neighbor recommended them but they were booked up. Luckily my issue was actually solved over the phone and he offered to help me find another plumber if we couldn't figure it out. I was amazed at the generosity. My partner and I struggled for weeks to decide on the right company to install a new water heater. We've had some bad experiences with contractors. I don't think I have ever had such a strong feeling of confirmation that yes, I 100% chose the right people for the job as I did after Sutherland wrapped up the work. Can't say enough good things about the team and the work they did!

John and his team were by far and away the most responsive and communicative of anyone we reached out to about the job. Even late evening inquiries by me were met with swift responses. They spoke with confidence and in a manner I could follow/understand. Went out of their way to show us that they cared about having our business and about the job being done correctly. Yes, we had one other bid come in slightly lower, but in talking about the project and seeing final product I am confident we would have absolutely sacrificed the end-result for what was truly a minimal cost difference had we gone the other route.

When they arrived, they came with two trucks and 4 incredibly hard working and personable folks to do the job. They were insanely clean throughout the whole process and left everything impeccable. As the heater was being installed, folks were going to every single outlet and checking for pressure and blockage and other issues. They encountered a number of odd and unforeseen things (pieces of dip tube clogging aerators and pipes, pumping CO2 and vacuuming out incorrectly-built bathtub pipes to clear them out, etc) and quickly fixed all - without charging me a single penny on top of the original quote.

They were perfectionists. I overheard a lot of conversation that was all focused on getting things EXACTLY right with every part of the work. They treated the work like it was being done in their own personal homes. These are our guys now for ANYTHING related to plumbing.

We had a wonderful experience using these guys. We unfortunately had to replace our hot water heater, but I couldn't have felt better about the process and what we ended up with. Scheduling was easy, over text message, and they were able to diagnose the issue from pictures I sent so they were totally prepared when they came to our house. The prices are very fair and they gave a full quote up front with no hidden costs. They were professional, efficient, and went above and beyond. I will definitely will use Sutherland in the future for any plumbing issues we have!
