What a relief. I tried to install a kitchen faucet by myself and nearly broke my back just removing the old one. I also needed a new garbage disposal as well. I was in a pinch and called another company whose name rhymes with 'mutton'.

They quoted me $1500! It was outrageous and I didn't know any other plumbers.
I remembered years ago my parents used Jim Papik plumbing. I did a search and up came Sunset West because Jimmy Papik now runs the company.

My parents were on to something. Jimmy came over and handled the installation of the faucet and disposal easily and charged a fraction of the ridiculous quote from the other plumber. Service and price are excellent here.

I would give Jim Papik and his company 10 stars if I could.
Had a leak in a brand new shower valve. I called several plumbers; no one was able to determine the source of the leak. Jim figured out the problem in minutes. We got the part he came and fixed the problem. He was reasonably priced, professional and honest. From now on Sunset West Plumbing is the only place I would call for all our plumbing needs!!

We used our home services warranty regarding our broken toilet. Service was not covered so and the company assigned by the warranty company was horrible. Found this company and within 24 hours this guy (Jimmy) was here. Cost was very reasonable. Best plumber we've ever hired. And reasonable, honest pricing.
We have Grohe fixtures in our master shower, in kind of a complicated arrangement, and after about 10 years, one by one, they froze up and stopped working. I called a plumber I had used on easy jobs before (one I had highly rated on Yelp, actually), and he hemmed and hawed and futzed around; finally said he would price the replacement parts and call me back. He didn't. I kept calling him, and finally he said that the parts alone would run $1200, and he would have to cut a large hole through the tile wall to do the job. I said fine, set a date, and he said he'd call me back when he had the parts. He never called back. I think he was afraid to try to do the job. I got a referral to another plumber, who was supposed to be a cut above. SAME THING -- he told me he'd have to cut into the wall; he'd call me when he had the parts -- then never called me again. Weeks passed, and we needed to have our drain snaked, so I called Sunset West. While Jim was here snaking the drain, I had him look at the shower situation, and I""m sure glad I did. He was familiar with the Grohe fixtures. He got the parts right away, and called me back in a couple of days to come and replace them. He did the whole job for less than the first plumber had quoted for parts alone, and he did NOT have to cut into the wall. He had no trouble doing the job that the two other plumbing businesses were too scared to even try.

Referred to Jimmy Papik, owner of Sunset West Plumbing, via neighbors in the Palisades. Needed someone fast as we'd sprung a leak into the basement. Jimmy was easy to schedule with, incredibly personable, great communicator, utterly professional, and nice to boot - great experience. He explained the fix required in understandable detail and also gave really good advice re: what to do with some other small issues we had, opting not to service some things where service wasn't required (which I appreciate). Relieved I finally have a plumber I like, trust, have good references for, and can call when anything comes up. Will be taping his business card over all the stickers the last few plumbers stuck all over our under-sink appliances... no one but Jimmy from now on.

I noticed a horrible stink in our back bathroom. Looking into the shower I saw disgusting brown water arising from the drain hole. Of course it was late on a Friday afternoon. We called Palisades Plumbing -- they had no one available. They gave us Jimmy's number to try. Jimmy was able to come by within a hours time (boy, were we lucky!) and fix the main line back up. Quick, efficient and reasonably priced. Thanks!

Saturday night - company coming over - Labor day weekend. Kitchen sink stops up. I called several companies - only two called back, one was charging outrageous prices for coming out on a Saturday. Sunset West called and the price was right. Juan (""J"") took care of the problem. Courteous and clean - definitely will use again.

After our longtime plumber retired, we were in the market for a new one, but of course failed to do the research before it was an emergency! We called Sunset West to clear a blocked sewer line that was causing a back-up into our tub. They came out the same day and cleared the line in less than a half hour. They also consulted with us on an ongoing (less than urgent) problem with a bathroom fixture, and cleaned out the sink trap at no extra charge. We've found our plumber: we will definitely rely on them in the future for all our plumbing issues.
