We thought our water heater was dying, based on some water leakage. Nick came in, checked it thoroughly and quickly figured out it was just the pressurized overflow tank that needed replacing, and he had the part in his truck. Very reasonable cost of repair and troubleshooting. All my interaction with the office and technician were extremely professional, informative, friendly, and they all know what they are doing. A rarity in great customer service these days. And rare that I can recommend a company without hesitation. Sunset plumbing for the win!!

Needed a kitchen sink fixture replacement and contacted Sunset Plumbing. Of course we love the commercials with ""Super Plumber"". I called to schedule the work at 8 am and was told a tech would be available at 3 pm which was awesome but got a call letting me know there was a cancelation and plumber could be at my house in 10 minutes. Nick showed up shortly thereafter, dressed in company garb, put on his booties and went to work. Nick was a pleasure to work with and took the time to answer all my questions and possible options. Super nice guy as well as a hard worker and perfectionist. To watch a pro work like that is a pleasure and I would personally recommend Sunset Plumbing for your plumbing needs. My only disappointment was that Super Plumber didn't make an appearance but Nick is a great understudy. Thanks!!!!

Mother 84 years old ,Lives in Bend I am 3000 miles away.My sister was out there visiting
Purchased 2 new toilets and a kitchen faucet .
Called Sunset plumbing to install the 3 items .
I figured 350-500 total.
They arrived on time ,quoted $350 each toilet and $265 for the faucet install.
With the trip charge that would be over 1k .
I advised to only replace 1 leaking toilet as I could not afford to do it all.
I called a few places locally to me and was quoted
$150-200 to install customer supplied toilet.
I am not familiar with Bend prices but I feel Sunsets prices are way over priced.
Cannot say anything bad about the tech or the quality of the work performed . Very professional and timely .

We were selling our house and ran into an inspection problem with our toilet. Brian arrived, very professional and quickly found the real problem. A cracked tank; and he was able to quickly get a new toilet and install it. What a relief! He was great and I would highly recommend him again.

RIP OFF! I had an emergency main line leak in the front of the home. Called them and scheduled them to come out asap which was the following day. I then called a landscaper who came out and dug down the 3ft to reach the pipe and get it exposed for the plumber to do their thing.

Next day Sunset Plumbing comes out and says that the fix will be rated an 8 out of 10 on their scale of difficulty. The plumber then said that the fix will take less than an hour. Given the pipe was exposed already and just needed the section cut out and replaced you would figure it doesn't get any easier for a plumber. No disconnecting dishwashers, no crawling in crawlspaces. None of that. He said it would run $618 for the fix and another $69 for just having them diagnose it. Plumber stated that it will take less than an hour so with that math Sunset Plumbing charges over $600/hour of work.

FORGET THAT!

Called Rapid Rooter right after Sunset Plumbing drove off with my $69 and had a plumber out fixing it 2 hours later and charged me a whopping $160!

Same issue...

Sunset Plumbing - $687
Rapid Rooter - $160

At the end of the day go with the mom and pop places as they clearly don't have all the overhead that makes a place like Sunset Plumbing charge rates that border on theft.

Gabe & Jayce are professional, excellent at their plumbing craft, went the extra mile with the warranty. They arrive within the time frame. I appreciate their terrific attitudes and smiles. I couldn't help but do a ""Happy Dance"" after their installation of the new, cool kitchen faucet.
WELL DONE, GUYS! Many thanks.

Way overpriced. Received 2 quotes for identical equipment, and Sunset's was 35% higher than their competitor.

After unsuccessfully attempting to engage another recommended plumber to get our main water line replaced, we turned to Sunset Plumbing (also recommended by our neighbors). Sunset promptly sent out Gabe to assess the job and get us on their calendar. One stipulation I had was that Sunset arrange for and deal with the excavators themselves, and Gabe assured us that would be the case. The only thing we had to do was obtain the permit and inspection (which was easy by the way. Bend's permit office and inspectors are top tier).

I've dealt with a lot of home contractors in my life so I know that schedules cannot be absolutely firm. Issues with ongoing jobs, employees, emergency calls and such can delay the start or finish of your project. As it did here. But when that happens, I expect communication.

With Sunset, we got it in the person of Anita, their scheduler (she probably does more than scheduling and probably has a different job description but that's the role she performed for us). Prompt phone calls and an easy demeanor made for a great contractor-customer relationship. I never felt ignored or otherwise disengaged.

As to the job, it was performed expertly and efficiently. The excavation was a bit more difficult and time-consuming than expected but Sunset adjusted their schedule accordingly and installed the line quickly after the trench was ready, leaving us without water service for only a short time.

Something like running a new water line from the curb meter to the house is not a small job and will not be cheap but Sunset's price was fair.

Highly recommended.
