Buyer Beware: Air Duct Cleaning
Called for free in home estimate: only do offer verbally over phone
Promised- $695- Video before/after, vacuum, sanitize, and deodorizer

Got appointment 2 weeks out- company changed appointment date 2 times after date set, and then came unannounced a day early. Tech told to just vacuum ducts. Didn't have any extra equipment on van.

No before video (tech offered to use phone to try and take a few pics)
No sanitation, deodorizer, or after video.
Called office with concern- got a run around. Finally agreed to a $100 credit. Which is pretty lousy for what they did. So paid $495 to have someone run a vacuum through the ducts.
It took a month for them to post the bill to my credit card, with no refund, had to dispute with credit card company (refund of $100 received).
Office staff has too many hands in the pot/lots of confusion. Managers show no empathy, acknowledgement, or appropriate compensation for the multiple issues I had. I would avoid this company for any duct cleaning work.

I had maintenance service on my furnace. I had a schedule between 10 and noon for their arrival. They were kind enough to call me to let me know they were running behind schedule and then called me when they were on their way. They explained everything as they were servicing the furnace and showed me where the problem was. I found them to be honest and their prices very fair and reasonable. I would highly recommend Sunbeam Heating and Cooling.
Although our air-conditioner is in poor shape, Nick did a good job analyzing our problems, I am entirely satisfied with his work.
Nancy K.I've got a service contract with them for annual maintenance on the central air that they installed. Every time they come, I'm more impressed with their competence and professionalism. The air conditioning system was installed with no glitches and worked well from the beginning. Sunbeam calls me every year early in the season to schedule the maintenance, so I don't even have to remember it. Two different technicians have come, and both have been on time and excellent.
They give you a two-hour window for the technician's arrival. When they called to confirm my appointment for the next day, I asked if they could come early in the window, as I had an appointment for just after that. I knew it might or might not happen, so I was delighted when I got a call two minutes before the starting time that he'd be here in fifteen minutes. And when he left, he closed the door gently
I recommend Sunbeam to anyone. Everyone I've met, from receptionists to technicians to installers, puts the customer first.

Also, I was unable to locate this link in order to write this review. I called the office a couple of times for assistance and spoke to Cheryl. Rather than brushing me off, which can often be the case when speaking to vendors, she displayed tenacity and professionalism and finally got me on the right path. Thank you Matt A and Cheryl.
Elizabeth S.Very suspicious how my thermostat stopped working a week or so after I had this company over for routine periodic maintenance on my central air. One guy seemed to know his way around, but he sent the apprentice over to look at the thermostat. Lo and behold, it broke down--nothing was wrong with my system when I called them in. To have them back out would be another service charge plus parts and labor; they said they are not responsible.
Came back from vacation on a Sunday night to find my hot water heater shot. Called Sunbeam the next day before 9 AM, figuring they'd be swamped on a Monday morning, but they told me that they'd have someone out here as soon as the new tank came in. To my surprise, I had a new tank before noon.
Roger is the BEST mechanic, quickly sizing up the situation and keeping me informed about what's going on with the repairs. He's been here to install and service the air conditioning, too, and I've never been disappointed in his work. Kudos, too, to Greg, who worked with him on the hot water tank.
Service Experts is the company that takes Sunbeam's overflow phone calls (because they don't want you to get a busy signal or voice mail), and I've hated dealing with them, because they never say they're calling on behalf of Sunbeam. Once I figured they were trying to sell me something and I just hung up. They were actually calling to confirm a service call. But I'm willing to put up with Service Experts to get Roger's work.
So Service Experts gets one star, and Sunbeam gets five, and I guess that averages out to four.
Marilyn W.DO NOT - I REPEAT - DO NOT CALL THEM! What a shady company! I called them because during our record heat our air conditioner stopped working. Not only did they tell me that it was shot but that I also needed a new furnace to the tune of $10,000. I believed them (because who would lie about something like that - esp. a reputable company) but wanted to get some other estimates. Luckily KJ Mechanical ran diagnostics and told me that both units were fine and they didn't know why I would need to replace them - heat exchanger not cracked as I was told. They added Freon to my air conditioner and said if there was a leak in the line they could trace it and repair it! Total bill from other company was less than $400. We were sweating and so uncomfortable this past week. I am so disappointed in Sunbeam - they are not the company they use to be. They are not the original company - they were bought by Service Experts - they are experts in trying to rip you off! Stay away - I don't know how they sleep at night. I am out $109 from their rip-off service call too! We had a nice cool sleep last night thanks to KJ Mechanical. Lesson learned - big companies no more - the little guy has ethics!
Tom J.I had a maintenance contract with Sunbeam (for heating and central air) for a year and a couple of trouble calls for the aging furnace. I don't have complaints on the work that was done or the courtesy with which they did it. However, I became very uncomfortable because it seemed to be routine for them to suggest additional work of a questionable nature. In my opinion none of their suggestions were warranted. I just caution folks to seriously question recommendations for additional work.
