The name Sugar Bear originated as a fun moniker, and it became a name that resonated with our mission.
We differentiate Sugar Bear from other service providers by my goal was to establish a brand that is unique.
Listening to our community's thoughts on service companies was essential.
I instilled in my employees the value of listening and being on time, to carefully diagnose issues and provide the best options, while ensuring cleanliness from start to finish.
We invest in top-quality vehicles and tools, and we train our professionals on their proper use.
I aimed to give clients options for repairs, allowing them to decide how to invest in their systems.
My vision was to create a lasting service company, employing dedicated individuals who genuinely care about helping others.
As a second-generation plumber, HVAC, and electrical technician, I began my service career in 1996 with a local company in San Bruno, and that’s how I came to be known as Sugar Bear.
I explored other paths in life, yet plumbing always felt like my true vocation.
I find joy in helping others; troubleshooting problems, discovering solutions, and executing repairs makes me happy.
Witnessing the joy of satisfied customers brings me fulfillment.
I have provided for my wife and our five kids for more than twenty years, duplicating my skills and services for other technicians.
The growth I’ve witnessed over the years is both humbling and motivating, and I am thankful for the encouragement from families, community members, local businesses, and property owners from outside our area.
This journey wouldn’t be possible without your support, and I give thanks to my ""heavenly father.""

Laureen S.Sugar Bear Plumbing came out last night (the day after Christmas), on a plumbing emergency that my neighbor was experiencing. I had called another company, and they had no one available at that hour, but Sugar Bear came through! They came out in the rain, after hours, and fixed the plumbing emergency. Technician was knowledgeable, kind, and answered all my questions. Highly recommend!!

Khristin W.I cannot say enough good things about Sugar Bear and, specifically, about Lawrence who came to help me with our hvac. He was professional, knowledgeable and lovely to have in my home. He helped me work through some maintenance issues then patiently walked me through how to take care of these on my own going forward. This is my second experience with Sugar Bear (they replaced our hot water heater earlier in the year), and both have been fantastic. Home repairs can be so fraught and Sugar Bear has certainly made it less so for me. Highly HIGHLY recommend.

He was very professional and explained the issues and solutions thoroughly. He efficiently fixed our issue and made sure I was satisfied. He also didn't leave a mess for me to clean up. All in all, very satisfied and would recommend Sugar Bear and Chris!

Ori L.terrible experience - verbally said would offer specific services that were then not included in written quote. Once repair work was being done, tried to chair more for the final air shaft (because they had to remove one piece of plywood). Would not use this company again.
