The name Sugar Bear originated as a fun moniker, but it evolved into something more personal and meaningful.
Sugar Bear stands apart from other companies; I wanted to develop a brand that is distinct and memorable.
I focused on understanding our community's feedback about service providers.
I instilled in my employees the value of listening and being on time, to take the time needed to evaluate systems and deliver the right solutions, and to keep everything tidy and organized.
We invest in top-quality vehicles and tools, and we train our professionals on their proper use.
I aimed to give clients options for repairs, allowing them to decide how to invest in their systems.
I aimed to establish a service company that would thrive for years to come, hiring passionate employees who truly want to assist others.
As someone who has been in plumbing, HVAC, and electrical work for generations, I kicked off my service career in 1996 at a local business in San Bruno, where I first earned the nickname Sugar Bear.
I explored other paths in life, but plumbing felt like my true calling.
I find joy in helping others; troubleshooting problems, discovering solutions, and executing repairs makes me happy.
Seeing the happiness on people's faces is rewarding.
I have provided for my wife and our five kids for more than twenty years, passing on my skills and services to fellow technicians.
Watching the growth over time is humbling and inspiring, and I am grateful for the support from families, community members, local businesses, and property owners from outside our area.
Without your support, none of this would be possible, and I am grateful to my ""heavenly father.""
Today, we are proud to have over twenty staff members and 15 service vehicles, and we are licensed in all trades.

Laureen S.Sugar Bear Plumbing came out last night (the day after Christmas), on a plumbing emergency that my neighbor was experiencing. I had called another company, and they had no one available at that hour, but Sugar Bear came through! They came out in the rain, after hours, and fixed the plumbing emergency. Technician was knowledgeable, kind, and answered all my questions. Highly recommend!!

Khristin W.I cannot say enough good things about Sugar Bear and, specifically, about Lawrence who came to help me with our hvac. He was professional, knowledgeable and lovely to have in my home. He helped me work through some maintenance issues then patiently walked me through how to take care of these on my own going forward. This is my second experience with Sugar Bear (they replaced our hot water heater earlier in the year), and both have been fantastic. Home repairs can be so fraught and Sugar Bear has certainly made it less so for me. Highly HIGHLY recommend.

He was very professional and explained the issues and solutions thoroughly. He efficiently fixed our issue and made sure I was satisfied. He also didn't leave a mess for me to clean up. All in all, very satisfied and would recommend Sugar Bear and Chris!

Ori L.terrible experience - verbally said would offer specific services that were then not included in written quote. Once repair work was being done, tried to chair more for the final air shaft (because they had to remove one piece of plywood). Would not use this company again.
