Stuart Electric, Inc. was established by Carl G. Stuart in the year 1956. The first type of work he provided, with one assistant, was connecting circuits for air conditioners acquired from major appliance shops.
In the year 1991, Jude G. Raspino, Jr. initiated discussions with Mr. Stuart, and on April 22nd, 1991, the papers were signed. Since then, Jude and his team have worked hard to promote Stuart Electric, Inc., now Stuart Services, as a premier company in the service and repair field of Greater New Orleans.
In the summer of 2001, Stuart Electric Inc. evolved into Stuart Services LLC, expanding air conditioning and heating services to our existing electrical and home generator divisions. In 2008, we launched our Plumbing department, completing our mission to be a complete provider for all home repair needs.

Sidney came to install my new gas kitchen equipment for my restaurant. He service went above and beyond helping me get the old equipment moved out of the way and stayed until we made sure everything worked properly. Matt was the technician who helped installed two new AC units at the restaurant. He was very informative about what they were doing each day and making sure to clean up after themselves. Great service!

They are overpriced and only want to take your money. They wanted almost $600 to install 2 basic wall scounces that I ended up installing myself in no time. $1000 to install a ceiling fan. Uh, no thank you! Don't waste your time getting an estimate cuz they are way overpriced. Or, maybe they saw a woman and thought they'd take advantage. In any case, I'm never calling them again.

Very poor schedule management. Very poor customer service.
Called on Dec 1 to schedule service on Dec 7 requesting 1st appt of morning. Called again on Dec 2 to check my schedule options and confirm my Dec 7th, 1st appt of morning - they said they would do the best they could. On Dec 7, by noon, no one showed up; no one called. I called Stuart Services and they said that they would have to reschedule for the following day. To stay at home on Dec 8 to wait for Stuart Services, I canceled my elderly mother's cardiology appt (because I drive her and handle paperwork at the doctor's office).
Just before noon on Dec 8, I received a call from Stuart Services saying that they could NOT get a technician to my house that day and will have to schedule the following day. The caller PROMISED me that I would be first on the schedule for Dec 9 and she was putting the note DO NOT MOVE APPOINTMENT. On Dec 9, Stuart Services called at 8:40am saying that there was an emergency call and that my appointment will be sometime later. When? Don't know. So much for their PROMISE of DO NOT MOVE APPOINTMENT.
I have been pre-paying Stuart Services for this maintenance service all year. It appears that the company already has MY money so they are prioritizing going after new customer money before honoring their annual subscribers. Very poor schedule management. Very poor customer service.

We had Stuart Services out in July to check our AC as it started blowing hot air. They were able to schedule next day service to check it out. The technician that arrived was on time, polite and explained the issues he thought were causing the problem. The technician serviced our AC that day (freon added and outside unit cleaned) and got it blowing cool air. We knew it would only be temporary as it had a leak and needed the coil replaced.
One month later, it starts blowing hot again so I call to schedule service for a new coil. This was on a Thursday. I was told the earliest they could do it would be Monday at 8:30 - 9:00 am. So much for quick service scheduling. I wasn't thrilled since we have a 5 month old baby and the heat index is in the triple digits, but what are you gonna do, right? So I accepted that time and date.
Monday rolls around and Stuart Services calls at 8:20 am to let me know the tech would be at our house in 45 mins to an hour. He showed up an hour later at 9:20 am. Then the single technician (maybe send more than one for a job that takes this long in the middle of summer) worked alllllllll day to replace the coil. In the afternoon, I was advised that the supply guys gave the tech the wrong drainage pan so he had to leave to get the correct one. More delay to get our system blowing cold air.
We were not kept very well informed of what was going on while the tech was in and out of the house working. We were not given an estimate of how long it would take to complete. Hindsight is 20/20 so I should have asked when I scheduled the job. The technician finally left our house at 6:30 pm and at 7:00 pm the thermostat reads 82 degrees.
Overall, I am very dissatisfied with the amount of time and lack of information in relation to having the coil replaced. For the amount of money we paid service with scheduling, expediency replacing parts, and being informed about the process was dismal.

THE WORST. Made an appointment to use 3 of their services (plumbing, electrical and AC). I was confirmed for the next day but given no window of when they would be there. Told they would just call 30 minutes before they arrive. Guess you just don't go to work that day. Cool. At 12:30 day of appointment, 2 of the services were cancelled. Told the earliest to reschedule was next week or I can pay for emergency service after 5. Was assured my other appointment was still scheduled though and they would be coming that day. Two hours later, I got a phone call fro another girl saying that my 3rd appointment of the day was also cancelled or I could pay an emergency visit after 5. When asked why, she said they were helping an ""existing"" customer (I am also an existing customer but I suppose that does not matter nor does my time) My entire day has been wasted. Work time off wasted. Nothing has been resolved. Will be using someone else. Do not waste your time

Beware of their deceptive practices. They charged my father-in-law Mr. Larry Cooper $450.00, a 70+ senior citizen living on social security check for a regular service call, not an emergency call!!! He called them to come and check his HVAC that is not heating up. Their customer service nor the technician tell him what the service call would cost up front, and the so-called technician spent less than 30 mins without fixing the problem because he said he had to change the whole electrical panel.
When does a regular call cost $450.00!!!

We called Stuart Services and Scott came over immediately. He fixed all of our issues and gave suggestions for future problems. Scott was very couteous, knowlegdable, humorous, and seemed very trustworthy. I would definitely recommend him to anyone and would use him again.

I had a bad experience trying Stuart Electrical Services for the first time.
After completing a walk thru of the property and pointing out the necessary electrical repairs to the technician ""Jeffrey"", I waited beside his company van while he wrote up the repair quote. After entering all the repairs into his company computer, he verbally went down the list to make sure he had everything. After reviewing the list and adding the vent fan in the bathroom because ""o yea, I forgot that one"", he submitted the work and gave me a flabbergasting high quote of $5,738. I thought this quote was about double what it should have been but I reluctantly agreed because I was leaving town and I needed these electrical repairs completed for my tenants in order to get power and hot water.
The first sign I had made a poor choice in contractors was the day after ""all repairs are complete"" by Jeffrey when I received multiple messages from tenants telling me there was still no hot water(I had texted the tenants the hot water should be working - after I got the ""all repairs complete"" by Jeff). I went to the property as soon as I got back in town to see what was going on and I found no electrical power going to the hotwater heater. I sent a text message along with pictures to Jeff letting him know the hotwater heater was not getting power and he replied he would come out and check it. After troubleshooting the problem he found ""a short in the new breaker box my guy installed"". I asked if his guy had checked to make sure the hotwater heater was getting power before he left and Jeff replied "" he should have - but obviously not"". One day later after ""running to get parts"", the hotwater heater was finally getting power and the tenants were happy.
But the problems didn't end there - the fan in the bathroom HVL still has not replaced and the company is claiming ""it was not on the invoice"". I spoke with ""Brittany"" in the office and asked her to please call Jeffrey because he and I 110% for sure looked at that issue while doing the walk thru and he absolutely had it on his list of items to repair when we verbally reviewed them from his van. Ms Brittany said ""I can write you up a new repair order if you want""? omg. No thanks - I will never use Stuart Services again for anything.

Do NOT use this business for air conditioning work. 12 years ago we hired Stuart to install brand new duct work, indoor and outdoor units and the service has sucked ever since. Just recently our outdoor unit wouldn't come on. After adding freon the technician then said the computer was broken. Billed us for $625 and said it would cost $1500 to replace computer or $7000 to replace entire unit. Called another Ac technician and they had our unit running in 5 minutes!!!!! If we choose to have those items replaced it would be half the cost. I can't believe they are charging me and trying to rip me off for this type of incompetent service. Please do Yourself a favor and call anyone else so you aren't a victim of their scams.

Outrageously expensive. Service charge alone was $228! They cut holes all over our ceiling to try to find and fix the leak from upstairs. They did not know what they were doing. They told me that we had to take down the chandelier. Estimate to repair was around $1600. Another plumber did the work for about $400, And the chandelier did not need to be taken down! I would not recommend!.
