Carl G. Stuart founded Stuart Electric, Inc. in the mid-1950s. The initial services performed by Carl, along with one assistant, involved installing circuits for air conditioners purchased from major appliance retailers.
In early 1991, Jude G. Raspino, Jr. began talks with Mr. Stuart, and on April 22nd, 1991, the agreement were signed. Since that date, Jude and his management team have dedicated themselves to promote Stuart Electric, Inc., now Stuart Services, as a top provider in the New Orleans service and repair sector.
In the year 2001, Stuart Electric Inc. evolved into Stuart Services LLC, expanding air conditioning and heating services to our current electrical and home generator divisions. In the spring of 2008, we launched our Plumbing department, finalizing our mission to be a comprehensive solution for all home repair needs.

Very good professional services. The work was to our expectations and technicians were very professional. I have been a customer for years and will recommend their services. The office staff called to confirm the appointment and gave an accurate arrival time. They ensured my house was left the way it was prior to their work.
John P.Two of Stuart's men showed up at a residence in Metairie a few days ago as they were asked to check on conditions in the attic where they had done some work. Previously, Stuart had done several jobs over several days on the duct work, etc. throughout the house.
The other gentleman while looking for a possible leak found a need to tape up an area where they had previously done work. This seemed to help with any leakage that might have been occurring.
The other guy was asked to check on a fan that had been previously installed by another contractor to see if this might be the reason for some sagging tiles. He inspected the fan and said it was broken. He then said he could get everything fixed for another $9,000!! This family had already spent thousands with Stuart to alleviate the exact problem this man was claiming they needed to address.
When the contractor who installed the fan checked it he found it in perfect working order. The reason it wasn't turning at that time was because its thermostat had been set too high. No thanks to Stuart: ""we'll fix everything [which Stuart had already been paid to do] for another $9,000""!!
Don't know if this is SOP or if Stuart has one rogue player...but if this is the way they operate forget any more business!! If I were you I would be very careful about dealing with this firm!
Jen A.Stuart services is the only place I call. I have an old house with lots of issues and Stuart fixes it right the first time. They always show up when they said they will, and I have never had any problems with their work. I am willing to pay more for these things; I agree they aren't the cheapest, but they are good and they show up when they say they will.
Called early morning for same day appointment. Appointment confirmed for Noon. Phone call at 2pm to say they weren't able to send someone after all. Extremely unprofessional and left me home waiting for service and then having to scramble to get my problem resolved. DO NOT TRUST THIS BUSINESS.
I clearly should have read the reviews before calling them, but ended up declining their service anyway. New Years eve is surely a bad day to have electrical problem, especially when there is arctic cold heading our way. This company takes outrageous advantage of the situation by asking a $250 service fee not including any repairs, just to show up, ""because it is a holiday week-end"" as they say. Reading previous reviews, it doesn't look unusual for them to overcharge clients with urgent problems. I have called other companies who do not ask such crazy charges just to show up and without any guarantee of fixing anything. As far as I am concerned, they are on my ""do not call"" list. They are not looking for customers, just for people to take advantage of. Short sighted and Disgusting way of doing business.
Pat S.My elderly parents called Stuart Services to replace their water heater. $3,000.00 later they had a new one!!!! What a business model: Take advantage of your customers.
Yu Z.Terrible terrible service! Never waste your money! My air conditioner had an issue on Tuesday. But they sent me the technician on Thursday afternoon. The issue is that my AC outside unit did not work sometimes.
Before they came, they told me that I have to turn off the AC whole morning (87F outside). After the technician came, he told me that he need to charge $250 for diagnosis. Don't believe their website, they said they only charge $50 for the trip.
That was not the worst part. After he checked everything, he said that there was no problem with my AC, but he could not offer a warranty unless I pay $5,700 to change the inside unit. My AC worked well at that time. So I thought everything was good. However, the same issue comes again. The company said that they can do the diagnosis again with $450 only for diagnosis.
They have the unprofessional technicians, can not solve the problems and just want you to reinstall the whole AC system. Terrible terrible service!
Unquestionably one of the most untrustworthy companies I have yet dealt with. Two years ago we purchased a whole home air conditioning/heating unit from Stuart Services, and as anyone will tell you the cost will quickly get your attention. Wanting to protect our investment we purchased a Maintenance Package consisting of two inspection checks a year. This past Thursday Stuart Services called to inform us they would be unable to make the scheduled appointment, making this is the third scheduled appointment cancelled this year. We have been trying to get the Summer maintenance check since April, it's now August. It is obvious that convincing customers to purchase their Maintenance Package is just a gimmick to take money from customers, enriching the company and having not intentions on providing the services understood in their Maintenance Package.

MUCH MORE Expensive than others-Specifically FOR AC. I had them come to refill the Freon. When called the lady said that $49 service call charge will be waived if the service is performed. Technician performed the service by adding Freon. But, didn't waive the service call charge. When asked, he said its only for other service. He was not interested in fixing the problems, instead kept on selling new HVAC system costing more than 8k. When I specifically asked for the cost to find out the freon leak in the system, he quoted $350 just for testing (PS. Others charge less than $150). and kept on selling new AC system. My AC is about 15 years old and doesn't warrant for replacement.
Its been 3 months and the freon is going low again (When it was fixed by previos technician, it lasted for almost a year) I REGRET going with them for this AC.
He also messed up the payment and I received a call from them 2 days later from the office and asked for the card numbers again. I have called my regular guys and their charges are much lower for fixing the issues (Not just adding Freon). SAVE YOUR TIME AND GET other guys give you a quote.
Matt F.Patrick was very thorough in trouble shooting my electrical system and suggesting a path forward. I trust him and feel confident he and the Stuart Services team did an excellent job.
