David is one of the best plumbers in Taos. He's reliable, works with competent helpers, and gets the job done promptly. He's a go-to supplier for my house and a couple of condos in town. I've used him for years.

I was able to schedule at a time that worked for me. I received a phone call on the morning of the service to let me know when the workers would arrive. The work was done quickly and correctly. I will definitely use them again.

Tried to us David's for deactivating irrigation in fall. Always ""busy"", doesn't return calls. So in desperation we went elsewhere.
Called David's to activate system just now. Endured several minute INSANE RANT, couldn't get word in edgewise, vaguely related to imaginary concerns that WE slighted THEM in fall.
DO. NOT. USE.

I found out about Ridge Top Plumbing through local referrals in the East Mountains on Next Door. I am so glad that I did! I had two leaking faucets on the outside of my house that needed to be tended to right away. He got everything taken care of, from shutting off the main water supply to running to the local hardware store for supplies. He showed up on time, was a pleasure to deal with, and was very reasonable in his prices. I will be using him for future plumbing projects, as well. It's nice to know that we have someone local like Ridge Top that is professional and dependable. Thanks, Again!!!!

We hired JC&E to install a new HVAC system. The owner Julian is an absolute professional. He's clear on his communication, his pricing, and time management. He finished the job early and left everything clean. His employees are friendly and professional as well. You will not be disappointed with this company! Excellent job!

Rude personnel, in way too much of a hurry. I would recommend looking elsewhere if you want quality work done safely.

Do not do business with this company. They are rude and dishonest and their work is slipshod and barely passes inspections.

When we bought our house, the package unit on the roof (Airtemp), had been installed about a year and a half ago by JC&E. The day of the walk-through, the unit failed, and the seller had to replace it, delaying our closing. When the unit was replaced by JC&E on July 3, 2019, a warranty for the unit was issued to me, the buyer, and the unit was registered in my name. I got the warranty paperwork from my real estate agent, and then called JC&E and that is when the trouble began.

When I called the contact number on the warranty for JC&E to introduce myself, someone answered the phone saying, ""Hello,"" and then proceeded to ask me if I was a sales person. I said no, and introduced myself and let him know that the Airtemp unit was registered in my name.

We closed on the house July 5, 2019. We moved in on July 11. I contacted JC&E because the air conditioner did not seem to be cooling the house very effectively and we could smell sewer gas. ""Julien,"" who fielded the call, assured me that he would meet me at the house the next morning at 9 am. He never materialized, so I called him back, and he said that they were busy but that he would call me. I called him again later that week, but he never got back with me.

Then, last night, July 30, at 10:30, I noticed that the air conditioner was not working at all. This air conditioner is three weeks old! and it was installed by JC&E. I called them, thinking I would get an answering machine, but Julien answered with his characteristic ""hello."" I apologized, saying that I thought I would get a machine to leave a message. He said, ""Do you have any idea what time it is?!"" I said, ""Yes, it's 11:30 and my air conditioning isn't working and my house is hot."" He said he would call me in the morning. Given his track record for not showing up and not calling back, I called him at 8 am.

After apologizing for calling so late, I asked him to please come out and get the unit working, since it is under warranty. He asserted that the warranty was for the previous owner, not me. I said that the unit was registered to me and that I held the warranty. AND THEN HE HUNG UP ON ME. Here's the kicker. The unit is the bottom of the line, an Airtemp manufactured by Nortek. The ductwork that JC&E installed for the return is insufficient to handle the amount of air pulled through the unit, and so the machine has to work extra hard to cool the air and then move it through the house. Further, the ductwork installed by JC&E in one of the bedroom closets is not insulated, so condensation is forming and wetting our oak floors. I called a reputable HVAC company to come out and repair the unit and discovered the shoddy work that JC&E had done and how they had jury-rigged all of the sloppy ductwork to the cheap-o package unit. I also filed a warranty claim with Airtemp who is honoring the warranty for the unit that is, indeed, registered to me. I will be filing a complaint with the Regulation and Licensing Division of the State of New Mexico and filing a complaint with the Attorney General's office and the Better Business Bureau.

Custom Plumbing and Heating has done many jobs for me over the years and their work is always exceptional. Great service and open communication. Would definitely recommend.

In 2014 Custom Plumbing and Heating was contracted to repair a sewer connection at a home we were buying. In 2015 we discovered that the repairs were done incorrectly per inspectors and another contractor. We repeatedly contacted Mel Martinez, owner of Custom Plumbing, to correct the problem. He refused to return calls, emails, voicemails. He came on sight without identifying himself and removed, without permission, the faulty plumbing connections. We had the faulty work repaired and he still has not even bothered to return a call or email.

Warning. You would be making a huge mistake to engage this company to do anything for you. Our experience is that their work was faulty, they don't stand behind it and refuse to communicate or make any attempt to correct the issues.

Reviewer was right. RUN away. What a disaster. The estimate was reasonable that was the hook. 1 week estimate for a shower stall replacement took 1 month. It included tear down of the ??first unprofessional wall and tiles work (fell down). I agree, MRM needs to be investigated for false representation. They did not live up to the terms of the contract. I'm still exploring actionable possibilities. The 1 star is required to post!
