William K.Made a reservation. They called at 8:11 am and said they're on their way. Got here and said that they don't do manufactured homes. Classless.
Cons: If I can go back and never use this company I wish I could. Outrageous pricing, their technicians improperly installed the A/C unit lines so we have water draining improperly at the home causing corrosion to the exterior due to their negligence. They forgot to turn on the actual A/c from initial installation. You call them for a diagnostic and they perform a service without notice or warning and charge you for said service which you have no other obligation but to pay(which occurred to me today causing me to write this review). I've had enough grace with this company and today was the last straw. They push their products and other nonsense services so they can make profit. VERY sneaky and untrustworthy company. They are overpriced and have been negligent. So for any future customers RUN and truly vet out your options as I regret using this company.
Pros: nice people BUT that means nothing if you are not properly taken care of or given transparency as a customer
Gerardo M.Jason came out this evening and helped troubleshoot and fix our cooling issue with our unit. He was very knowledgeable and thorough with his work, he took the time to explain the what and why it happened and how to fix it all while being efficient. It was a late call and I'm thankful for his service. Strittmatter has 100% rating with me and anyone who asks me. Our newborn is able to sleep more comfortable this evening, thanks to him.
In July of 2021 we purchased a home that had 3 brand new HVAC systems installed by Strittmatter through the previous owner. Shortly after moving in we discovered that two bedrooms were not cooling and one bedroom was overcooling. The previous owner disclosed that there was a transferrable warranty, so we called Strittmatter and that is where the issues began. I called on 2 different occasions only to be told a manager would call me back. I never received a phone call. On the 3rd attempt I was told there would be a service call fee that had to be paid before they would schedule a warranty call. I was never given an explanation on why there would be a fee even though I asked for one. The 3 HVAC units are high end so I suspect the cost to install was around 25k-30k. As such, I believe a reputable company would be happy to come out and diagnose the problem, especially on such a large job. Based on 3 calls, w no return call, along with being told there would be service call fee, I decided to call 2 other companies out to give a diagnosis. Neither company charged a fee to provide an estimate and both companies diagnosed the same problem. On one hvac unit Strittmatter installed a plenum that is too small and not delivering the correct air volume to 3 bedrooms. I decided to eat the cost and get the plenum replaced which cost me $1200. Based on my experience w Strittmatter I absolutely cannot recommend them and recommend that potential customers steer clear.
I had another company come out and completely try to take advantage of a leaky tub situation, trying to upcharge us to replace the tub. I called Strittmatter and Dillon (who initially came out after hours even though he didn't have to) with Parker came out and were professional, Dillon told me that the tub didn't need to be replaced, he and Parker fixed the real issue saving me about $1,500. The other company is the reason why plumbers get a bad name, but Dillon and Strittmatter can be trusted. I even signed up for their EASE maintenance program. They will be my go-to for my home as well as my rental property. Couldn't be more pleased. Call them before anyone else would be my suggestion. FYI, I NEVER post things like this, but I felt compelled to do so this time.
Way over priced.
Charging over $600 to install a brand new toilet that was pre purchased from another store. Will not be calling them again. Also they charge $79 just to come out which was fine but the installation charge was completely ridiculous. There was also a leak under the bathroom sink which coincidentally was not leaking when tech arrived. He told me there was nothing he could do since the issue was not occurring at the time. We had a flood in the bathroom prior so clearly there is a problem. Second tech that came along for the ride just kept smiling at what the older tech was telling me. Not a very good experience.
Their service techs have a sales quota to meet - not good. Unless you get an experienced tech you'll wind up with more problems than you started with.
Farhan A.I called Strittmatter, they were very prompt in replying and have sent their guy very quickly. I was relieved to see the quick action.
However, they confirmed that there was no leak in my HVAC system and charged with 13 lb refrigerant R22 each pond cost 163 dollars.
with in a week the refrigerant leaked and I was so annoyed that my system not working that I called the other company. They found a leak and confirmed that the cost of R22 is 60 dollars per pound .
I have requested Strittmatter for a refund, but no response for over a month.
I will not recommend this company. Be carefull
Price gouging! We had a very nice technician come out to fix our toilet. It's not a regular flapper toilet, it's a Sloan tank within the tank toilet. He gave us an estimate for $550 and said these toilets were very difficult to work on and that he would have to order the part. We sent him on his way. My husband got online and ordered the part for $50. It took 2 days to be delivered and my husband had it fixed in 20 minutes (after watching videos on YouTube)! If you can fix it yourself, do it, OR find a company that's pricing is a bit more reasonable.
When a pipe froze in my Denton home in Feb 2021, I called Strittmatter and was very happy with their service. They called back quickly, and kept in contact over many days while they were working through an incredible number of similar service calls. On a Saturday evening, Chris B called and asked if he could fix our problem. All the Strittmatter plumbers were working crazy schedules. Chris was on time, professional, and extremely knowledgeable. There was no late or weekend service charge, just the standard rate. Great job Chris! Thanks.
