I was very satisfied with Steve's. From the initial call to the follow up call very professional and prompt. The technician Matt was COVID conscious and courteous. Got the job done quick and efficiently. So impressed by overall service received I signed up for their fantastic service plan! Just what was needed someone to call and not get ripped off

I needed my sewer cleanout pipe and cap repaired, and two bathroom toilets replaced. After some scheduling misfires to get an estimate around the past holidays, Bryan finally came to do the estimate. We agreed to start the work immediately and he was finished the same day. He was friendly, courteous, and one thing my wife and I like - not all 100% business only exchange. Meaning we chit chatted during/after his work about things other than the job done. That is one facet we gauge service by to know if we're comfortable in going back to the company in the future. The work was efficient and clean.

This is an update to my last review of Steve's Plumbing. After my initial review, I got a call from them and was informed that I needed permission from the home owner for them to continue with any service I needed. I didn't know that needing permission was a regulation, so if you're not the home owner, please note that it is the law to receive permission from the home owner in order to proceed with plumbing services. Our property manager also recommended using Steve's Plumbing after I informed her of the issue, so I contacted them again through e-mail and they got back to me within an hour and was able to schedule an appointment on the phone. They gave me an estimated time that they would be able to service us between 3-5 pm, but they called back and said that the technician was able to come out earlier. Because I'm at work, Shon, the technician assigned to us, communicated with me about the options we had to fixing the clog and even stated clearly what the worst case scenario would be. Thankfully, he was able to retrieve most of what was clogging the toilet. It was good to experience better communication with them compared to what I experienced about two months ago. The price was much higher than I expected, but they got the job done in a timely manner.

Shower leak needed repair. Called Steve's Plumbing and got an appointment 2 days later. Office staff asked COVID-related questions which I appreciated. Office staff called on the day of the appointment and narrowed the arrival window. Also received an email and text message on the plumber assigned to the job. Matt arrived on time - assessed the repair - repaired the leak and repaired an outside faucet knob when my husband asked. Excellent service and very professional. So happy we called Steven's Plumbing to repair the leak. Thank you for your help!

Really needed quick service - two bathrooms with two toilets and two showers sharing same main pipe that was plugged badly. Lucky to have Josh show up after hours and resolve the situation in a timely, professional, thorough manner. Not only did he fix the immediate problem but also provided potential solutions to avoid this problem again. Thanks to Josh and thanks to Steve's plumbing!

Sorry. I really hate writing this negative review but I felt it needed to be addressed. My pilot light on my 5 year water gas heater kept shutting off. Needing hot water for the family, I desperately called Steve's plumbing. Though I explained my plumbing issues, the call center gal said they needed to send someone over for assessment first and it would be $49.99. Then he will then give me a quote. Technician was nice but the price he quoted me was far from nice. He quoted me $1500 to 5k for the job and I could not believe it was so high! Especially since I originally paid $600 for the heater! I paid the $50 assessment fee and said no thanks. Just wanted to let folks know especially during these Covid times and money is tight, that there are other options out there for a more reasonable price.

I thought I could change out the cold water shut off valve underneath my kitchen sink myself but quickly realized I was over my head. Called Steve's Plumbing and they were able to come out within an hour and a half after my call. The plumber, Kris went above and beyond to fix the issue. I couldn't be more happier with the quality of work. Mahalo Kris for the awesome work.

Dont. Please dont. I hate making bad reviews but this one is my due diligence, my kuleana to let everyone know because I am literally shocked that this kind of sh*t exists in our Aloha State. I almost fell for it and wouldve paid 8x what I ended up getting everything done for because I was desperate, trusting and needed it done ASAP. They were the first I called, I googled, they popped up and I see their trucks all over Ewa Beach. My initial quote $8K to replace my $1200 solar water heater and $800 to change an $80 piece in my shower handle...my husband changed the shower handle piece himself in 30min, including drive time to City Mill to get the part. Steves claimed I needed to change all the water heater pipes to copper, extra to cover the drywall in case they accidently ruin the wall, etc. My home is maybe 20 years old, so my PVC cant be that brittle (i only know now because the plumber I ended up using explained it to me). After the tech left I immediately get a call from the ""manager"" saying how that quote was ridiculous, hes gonna give it to me for $5K and encouraged me to give him the last look after I get different quotes. Super sleezy, scam artists is what I felt. I got my heater changed that Sunday for $1500, and the guy took my old one away. Please...call someone else. I feel so bad for anyone who uses their services, literally sad this kind of rip-you-off show is going on.

All I can say, is don't use these folks for large Jobs or jobs that are complex. They Schweitzer's things up and they are really slow to accept responsible and even more so rectify things. They also lack the inability to communicate. It seems it's ran by incompetence is what I feel. When I get my money back, I'll update this review.

We knew we had a leak somewhere and we knew it was bad. The meter showed we were losing over a gallon a minute. I contacted my regular plumbing company. They were not able to find the leak and told me to work with a leak detection company. I found that Steve's Plumbing specialized in leak detection and had the sophisticated equipment we would need to locate the leak. The Steve's Plumbing truck I so often see around the island pulled up a couple hours after I called. Jeremy jumped out of the truck, quickly listened to me and got right to work. He identified the area of the leak and it was in our main water line under our stone lanai. He made a neat puka in the stone, only to discover that the main line was a sixty year old galvanized steel pipe. The pipe was in bad shape and repairing it would involve a lot of jackhammering on the lanai and would be, at most, a bandaid. We made the difficult decision to repipe the entire house. With the meter going crazy and water shooting up through the lanai, the easiest thing to do would have been to turn off the water and leave the house during the repiping. But we have two rental units attached to our home and both are occupied. So turning off the water for a week wasn't an option. The first of several brilliant solutions Jeremy came up with was on that first urgent day. He rerouted our main line through a garden hose to the hot water heater and from there to key locations. That stopped the leak and kept our water going. For the next seven days, there was noise, there were surprises, there was water on and water off. But Jeremy was so respectful and kind to not only me but my tenants. He somehow managed everyone's expectations. I'm not going to lie. This is a big, disruptive and expensive project. But over a week's time, Jeremy arrived first thing in the morning, jumped out of his truck, got immediately to work and didn't quit until twelve hours later. I had to force him to stop and eat. He never left until what we expected to be working was working and everything was neat and tidy. Jeremy explained everything that was going to happen before it happened. He was skilled, creative, clear and kind. I hope you're never in the urgent position we were in. But Steve's Plumbing is the company to call if you are.
