Trustworthy service provider. My technician, Clay was very knowledgeable and able to use his critical thinking skills during the investigation and diagnosed process. We found out the toilet support system had been compromised. Clay, was confident he'd fine the solution for any obstacles that arisen while the leak detection process & repair were in progress. We partnered together to agreed on the next course of action. He explained exactly what he was going to do before conducting the work required & expressed cost upfront so there would be NO SURPRISES then I could decide if I wanted that option. His attention to detail is great too. Im kinda OCD so when he wanted to make sure all things were plumb it made me happy! I'm an absolutely happy customer!! & I got a 12 month guarantee with the services provided! Highly recommended & ask for Clay! He's five that's price though, not so much.

The quality of work done was easily worth 5-stars. There were two people that did the work. They were very polite, knowledgeable, and were extremely thorough in doing a great job (e.g., they did the work once, and weren't satisfied, so they took it apart and did it a second time). I was very satisfied with the quality of work. However, I gave the company a 2-star ranking because of what they charged me. In short, it cost me over $3,600 for about 5.5 hours of work over two days for two workers to replace an outside hose bib. One of the workers seemed to be an expert plumber, and the other one an apprentice. If the parts to make the hose bib cost $600, then that means I paid $545/hour for labor. Looking back at some other plumbing work that I've had done in the past by other companies, I feel that Steve's plumbing really overcharged me (e.g., A couple years ago, I paid $700 for someone to dig up the house's main valve from underground, and redirect and replace it with an above ground system). The long story. Outside, we have a water pipe that comes out of the house's foundation horizontally, and has a 90 degree connector to a vertical pipe connected to a hose bib; where we connect a hose to water our garden. In the late afternoon of day 1, I was watering, and pulled the hose too hard where it pulled down the vertical pipe causing a crack in the horizontal pipe. The water was gushing out of the crack and I had to shut off the water to the house. I went through calling a long list of plumbers, and Steve's Plumbing was the first one that could send someone that night. At around 8:30 PM, two people came over, and they took a look at the situation. All they could see was about 1.5 inches of pipe coming out of the concrete foundation. They said since the pipe was galvanized and corroded, they couldn't just simply cap it. They reviewed the layout of the house, and the suggested plan was to work from the inside bathroom to try to determine the best fix. They would move the toilet, cut open the wall behind the toilet (where they suspect the pipe led), and they might potentially have to chip or saw through a lot of the concrete foundation to find the pipe and determine the best solution. They provided me an estimate of $4,600+ to do this work, and I signed off (it made sense to me). They were willing to do the work immediately, but since it would make a lot of noise, I requested that they come back the following morning so we wouldn't bother the neighbors. They said that was fine, and they left around 10:30 PM. At around 10:00 AM on day 2, the two returned. They moved the toilet, and discovered that there was already a small hole in the wall that allowed them to get a better idea as to where the pipe led. This was good since they didn't have to cut open the wall. However, what they saw was that the pipe in the foundation was probably in the neighboring room (which would mean breaking more stuff to get to). Therefore, they changed strategies and decided to go back outside and chip away the concrete foundation around the pipe to see if they could get any other hints. After chipping away about an inch of concrete, they discovered a fitting that the horizontal pipe was screwed into. This was great news! They were able to unscrew the broken galvanized pipe, and replace it with an all-copper pipe and hose bid. The job was finished by 1:30pm. Instead of charging me the $4,600+ estimate, they said they'll knock off a $1,000. At the time, I really appreciated it. However, now, I'm wondering if $3,600+ was still excessive. Looking back, I should have requested a breakdown of the $4,600+ estimate to get a clear understanding of the breakdown of labor and parts.

Clayton really did a great job fixing our master bedroom shower drain leak. We're very satisfied with the work and are having him fix some problems with our main bathroom shower.

Great experience getting a leaking shower fixed by Steve's Plumbing Service, from beginning to end. Appointment scheduling over the phone was quick and easy and I was able to get an appointment that worked with my schedule. They called me a few times to offer earlier time slots when technicians became available earlier than expected, and I was able to take advantage of one of those opportunities. Ben Carvalho was amazing. He arrived early, was super friendly and polite, explained everything he was doing, and was quick getting everything completed. I definitely recommend to any of my friends/coworkers that they reach out to Steve's Plumbing Service for any issues they might have. Two thumbs all the way up. Thanks!

I have multiple rental properties and have called upon many different plumbers, Steve's Plumbing was by far the biggest rip off. My advice would be to call someone else.

I had a main water line leak on my side of the property, board of water supply wanted me to fix it right away. This happened on Saturday morning, I always look for work that needs to be done through Yelp I went down the list, The third one down the list was Steve's plumbing services there are the only one that answered the phone kudos to them. After speaking to the receptionists she said she can have someone come out at 7 PM on Saturday to fix the problem with a Service fee of $200, with me probably thinking that it's going to cost a lot to get it repaired I booked an appointment on normal business day on Tuesday for service fee of $35. Lyle Pasion plumbing installation manager professional, helpful and funny Guy came out to my property on Tuesday, told him the problem but don't know where the leak exactly is. He told me that he will have to do an electronic leak detection to determine what kind of work needs to get done. He did quote me two options one cheaper and one expensive. I wanted the job done correctly so I replace the whole water line that leads to my house. The cheaper was kind of expensive, since it's my property I wanted to be done correctly. Forgot to say his partner from Ohio I do apologize I forgot his name he was pretty cool to. So we went forward with the work but I was debating on how to pay for it because it will take a major slice into our savings and I didn't want that to happen so I do highly recommend if the price seems too high out of your budget to ask them about their financing option it is very reasonable. A big thanks to Steve's plumbing services The job was done above expectation.

Quoted me $712.00 for a fairly simple job on top of a $49 dollar fee to come out, which I paid as I he did come out. It seemed like a lot of money so I declined their service and I called around. I found that no one was quoting over $300. I had it fixed for $260.00 and NO fee to come out. That's a pretty huge difference.

I scheduled an appointment through Yelp and they were very responsive. I tried scheduling through 4 others but Steve's was the only available to meet same day. After a very thorough walk through of what issues I had (and boy did I have some issues), Ben Carvalho and his partner (I think his name was Iosefa) provided a quote. I felt it was kinda high (with nothing to compare it to); however, I needed the work to be done ASAP. Because it was already night time, we had to schedule for them to come back the following day. The next day, Ben and Iosefa came first thing in the morning and even though it was raining, got their tent set up did the outdoor work without skipping a beat. When coming into the house, they put booties over their work shoes to keep our house clean (not that you can make it much dirtier). The list of work they did was: 1. Change main shut off valve 2. Change regulator 3. Change out pipes in bathroom and kitchen 4. Installed new kitchen faucet Everything got done in about half a day! The work looked clean and they were very professional and personable. After seeing how hard they worked and all of the work that was done, I feel like the price paid was fair. If anyone is looking for a plumber, I would highly recommend Ben Carvalho from Steve's.

I'm writing you because I thought to my self. After the service was done at our resident. I'm shocked to have paid a little over $1800. Which I thought we got a deal of 10% off of $2100. Wasn't it a bit high for a less than 2 hour job. Which it was stated you folks don't charge by the hour. My question is why is it so expensive for such a small job because of 2 yr warranty ? I really would like to know. Especially when you didn't check all of my of my faucets, toilets and showers. And we knew where the problem was. So it was less the labor or headaches finding the problem. AMAZED AND CONFUSED

We needed a plumber at 11pm, the night before Hurricane Lane was scheduled to hit Oahu because we found water leaking through our second floor bathroom and turning our ceiling in our foyer into mush. After trying a few other ""national"" plumbing services (none of which were willing to come out that late at night) Steve's sent Ben out to address our problem. Not only was Ben professional, knowledgable and friendly, he was also an amazing plumber. He immediately diagnosed the issue (poorly installed drain) and he quickly fixed it. I highly recommend Steve's plumbing and they will be our go-to company when we need plumbing work done in the future. Also, a big thanks to Ben for your hard work and professionalism!
