I used this company a while back to help me with a major clog on my tenants side of my duplex. I had used a previous company which I will not embarrass. They had suggested that I dig up my old piping and re-do the whole line. Well, I figured I should get a second opinion and looked if there were other methods that are good and cheaper. Sure enough, Steve's Plumbing had a method that interested me. They came out, did a thorough inspection and told me they could do the job much cheaper and no digging involved. From start to finish I was kept informed of what was happening. Upon completion of the work, they showed me thru a camera how awesome my lines looked. Now the pipes on my side of the house acted up and I called Steve's Plumbing again. Excellent work done. I am truly satisfied with the professional workmanship. I highly recommend you give them a call should you have plumbing issues.

Be wary of what your estimate reflects. Are you serious? a breakdown of your company's expenses that are tracked to ensure a profit is made. Yes, I fully understand what we as consumers pay helps organizations meet their respective goals in each of these areas. However, as a customer /consumer I want you to make a profit but I don't care how or what areas of your expenses you make it. My husband and I simply want to know what the materials and labor costs are along with any other fees that may be incurred; i.e., disposal of water heater. (Especially, with an estimate of $7,500 plus and we received 2 other estimates from 2 different plumbers for less than half that rate.) Then we have the opportunity to decide if there is an expense we can reduce or eliminate by doing it ourselves; i.e., take the water heater to the dump ourselves. Or as we already told Lance, we will be doing the excavation ourselves. So you may have received 5 stars from other customers but you will not receive them from us nor will you receive our business. Just a note that factored in our decision, Lance called me this morning and left a voice message that he would call me back later today. Well, it is 9:35 PM and he has not called me back. He is trained to upsell everything. Perhaps provide training to follow-up on what was stated/promised. Totally disturbed by Steve's Plumbing business practices or lack of. Had to wait a week for a simple repair appointment for a leaking shower faucet. On appointment day, waited until 5 minutes prior to appt time (12pm) to call office on when I should expect the repairman; haven't had heard from them. Person answering apologized and said they had just tried to call me, but I had no call. She continued that they wanted to reschedule! The repairman who was to service me was on a job that was going to take longer then he expected. And the other repairmen were all scheduled. I found that unsatisfactory. Why they couldn't have any one of their repair personnel to work me in or stay on a little longer at end of day to complete my 10 minute maximum repair job tells me Steve's Plumbing doesn't think much about their customer. I OF COURSE CANCELED THE APPT. I called Fast Rooter Plumbing. They had a repairman to my home within 2 hours on a very rainy day. The job took 10 minutes! Why the 1 star? Person on phone answered quickly, very courteous and tried to reschedule me, but in fortunately that didn't fix my leak!

Steve's did a good job replacing three bathroom faucets and replacing a shower cylinder. I thought the price was high for the work performed (I provided the 3 faucets). This may just be Hawaii price-of-Paradise factor, but it was still 3x higher than similar work we had done on our Philadelphia home. Also, they couldn't complete the job the way I waned it because of the way the developer ran the pipes. Was disappointed that they couldn't find a work-around (if they had resolved that issue, it may have justified the price). Bottom line. Great service, fast response, good work, friendly tech, really high price. Will likely use them again. (I also didn't like their having placed advertising stickers on the water heater and disposal since they didn't repair those appliances. In fairness, my spouse said ok, but it I thought it was unprofessional of the service tech to even ask.)

My company's plumping crapped out! Pun intended. Not a great experience to say the least. We had two companies come in and take a look. The first company said sorry, they can't fix it. Second company came in and fixed it once, twice. Three strikes they're out!! Steve's plumbing came in and saved the day. Obviously this job is not for the faint of heart. They were well equipped to handle our problems. Found a major blockage cut into that puppy and replaced the pipe. These guys are heroes! Being knee deep in it (literally) and still they are incredible friendly and upbeat. You can plainly see they work well together as a team. Thanks guys! Especially, Shon and Mason you are both professional and quick to get the job done.

Reading the most recent yelp review, while waiting for the plumber, to actually find out that they canceled someone's 3-5p appointment today (the same day). So I could only assume the same was happening to me because it was 4:55p. So I called the office and found out that was indeed the same case for me. Apparently those Maui calls I've been avoiding (due to a high volume of telemarketers calling me from Maui) were from Steve's Plumbing. Also, my voicemail was full...so yes, partially my fault. An attempt by email would have been nice. Originally wanted this company since they responded to a previous flood issue for me back in December. Also, scheduling the appointment in the first place was such a pleasant experience. Rescheduled my appointment for Wednesday. Let's see if they can keep that appointment. ***If you schedule with Steve's plumbing, don't ignore those Maui calls!***

I wanted to give just one star out of pure irritation but I see lots of other people have had good experiences with Steve's so maybe I just got dealt a crappy hand and had bad luck. I called last week Wednesday to have our shower drain fixed. Did not want to pay extra fees for same day service, which is why I was okay waiting until Saturday, which is when they said the next available appointment was. We made an appointment for Sat. between 3-5 pm and they called at 12 that day canceling on us, saying they needed to reschedule. I was slightly annoyed but my husband reminded me ""things happen."" I agreed to reschedule again for today (Monday) between 3-5 pm. They called to reschedule AGAIN at 12 pm. I wasn't able to answer my phone at the time and for some reason my phone didn't show any missed calls. So I waited around at home and when 5 pm came and no one showed up, I called them and they said, ""oh, we tried to call today to reschedule."" I told them it was unprofessional of them to reschedule so many times and that I would be calling a different plumber. Sorry, won't be giving them any business anytime soon. UPDATE: I guess Steve's saw my review and wanted to apologize and make sure I was a happy customer. Somebody came and they waived the fee to just come and evaluate the problem. They also offered me 10% off whatever services I end up needing. They said they valued my business. As a small business owner I can understand that. That was all fine and great until the technician sent me the quote estimates and I find out he wanted to replace my entire toilet (it had been making a dripping sound) which would cost $1,000 and then charge me $600 on top of that to fix my tub drain. I said a big fat no thank you. We then got a family friend to come check on the problems and all he did was replace a rubber stopper in our toilet. Dripping problem fixed. Then he fixed our tub drain. It was a simple problem. The plunger that's supposed to enable you to stop drainage and fill up the tub had fallen off its handle and was stuck at the bottom, causing the problem. He removed it and our tub has worked perfectly ever since. Total cost: $10 for rubber stopper for the toilet. I feel that the technician who did the estimate was trying to take advantage of me because I am female and obviously don't know much about plumbing. It hurts to think I could've been ripped off of $1,600 had I said ""yes go ahead"" to the services they wanted to do. How dishonest.

Called at 11:30 am and was told no one was until 5:30 pm. So I scheduled an appointment because we had a break in our copper water line and had to turn off the water to the house. Received a call at 3:30 pm that they would be unable to get someone out to our home. Now having to scramble to find another company, not good. Then Jen from the office called again and she was able to get a plumber but he was coming in from Waianae and would be there around 8 pm if that would be okay. I was so relieved and thanked her for not giving up and getting me the assistance I needed. Alika arrived and was extremely professional and got to work right away. Pipe was repaired and this customer was very happy.

I was referred by a friend who said they were reliable and did good work. I didn't realize it cost $89.95 just for the call, before any work is done. They should tell you that on the website. I might have called someone else for my plumbing emergency.
