I found Stephen Plumbing through Yelp. My garbage disposal started leaking. I called and they were able to come immediately, but ended up scheduling for later that day that worked better for my schedule. They were on time, knowledgeable and friendly. They replaced it for a reasonable price. They even assisted tightening another faucet. I will definitely use them again.

Just got off the phone with Mark about an hour ago and he helped me troubleshoot my garbage disposal 'clog' that we were living with for the past 5 days! He was so helpful and saved us both time by suggesting that I look for a little red button under my garbage disposal and to simply push it in... for something as simple as that, I'm so grateful that Mark just shared his experience with me- saving me A LOT of time, hassle and not to mention money! I would totally go with him the next time I have a plumbing issue, since I know he is definitely competent to solve any problem.

Different problem...drain started backing up. Of course I called the guys that provided me 5 stars last time around. Chances are if you call a guy that provides 5 stars, you get 5 star service the next time. They found the problem within a few minutes. One guy went to work on the backed up drain, the other guy started working on installing a new garbage disposal unit that I had purchased already. All done within 45 minutes. Great price. These guys are thorough, fast, honest and also very nice. There is a reason why these guys have 5 star ratings 100% of the time. Thanks a bunch for the second time.

a team arrived this morning when they said they would... it took a few minutes, but they diagnosed what they believe is the problem... and did the necessary repairs to fix it. they hoped this less costly repair would make all the difference and I believe it will. Mark is awesome! 1st time I used him, I had leaks under 2 sinks. I called other plumbers, who tried to diagnose over the phone or they said they'd charge to come by to diagnose and they would have to come another day. I found Stephen Plumbing on Yelp, called them, and Mark said he could come over in 1/2 hr! He diagnosed and gave me an estimate free of charge! Of course, I went with him, and he did a great job installing 2 new faucets, and with a reasonable charge. Few months later, my toilet leaked. I called Mark, who again, came right over. I really appreciate his consistently quick service! He diagnosed the problem and then unfortunately, a new crack appeared in the tank while Mark was handling the toilet. I had to buy another new tank. A couple days later, Mark graciously picked up the tank from the shop and installed it. And here's the kicker...He didn't charge me anything because of the whole crack issue! Mark is a man of integrity and is simply a very kind man. If you want a reliable plumber who really cares, give Stephen Plumbing a call. You won't be disappointed.

We had a 9pm emergency flooding issue around our mainline last week, and we contacted Stephen Plumbing after reading the wonderful reviews on Yelp. Our experience was equally as fantastic. He came to our San Mateo home within a 1/2 hour of the call, and was able to determine, in the dark amid a flood of dirty water, what the problem was and what would need to be fixed. He also ascertained that it was not a true emergency, and that the fix could wait for the next day. He is very personable, knowledgable, and professional. I would highly recommend Stephen Plumbing when you need expert help!

I love Stephen's Plumbing! I had had two other plumbing companies come to my house for various small problems, and while each of them were fine, I felt I could find a better company so I kept looking. But no more! I have had Stephen's Plumbing out for three service calls and each time I was impressed by their speed of response, their thoughtful considered and effective solutions and their wish to keep the costs reasonable and fair.

The first time they came to snake a backed up pipe and found four separate areas that were each contributing to the problem (which explains why the previous companies had only solved the problem for limited periods of time) and gave me a few simple instructions on how to keep it clear in the future which have been working beautifully. The second time, I needed replacement drains for two 1980s style bath fixtures and they were able to source one replacement but as people stopped making the brass option way back, actually built one working and matching drain out of the two broken parts. Despite all this effort, they let me know in advance that it wouldn't take up the whole hour and to look for some little projects to have them finish up with so I would get my money's worth out of the service call.

Fast response times (usually same day), excellent work and fair prices. I am so happy to have found plumbers that provide all three!
