A few months back i had a blocked sewer line and i called a few plumbing companies to come and diagnose what the problem is and give me a quote.
Star Rooter was the first to show up and there were two guys. They told me they will need to drop a camera in the pipe to see what the problem is. I agreed, later they said i have to pay $275 for the service. I was surprised since i was hoping to get a quote and not a bill. I asked them why am i paying when the pipes are not even fixed, they said they will flush air down the pipe to clean it which they did and the blocked pipe was fixed.
At the end the problem was fixed but i felt that i was forced into a service.

I first met Paul when I called Star Rooter and Plumbing about a year and 1/2 ago when my main broke they stayed all day to fix my pipe the right way. And made sure everything was spotless when they finished. Quality work and fair prices. I have a bar business and rental property and I have been using Paul ever since. He is always prompt, so friendly, professional and a hard worker and dedicated employee. No job is too small he has fixed everything from clogged drains to recently putting in a brand-new water heater. I highly recommend Star Rooter and plumbing and Paul for all your plumbing needs. I have been reading the bad reviews and just had to voice my opinion for the guy who says the 5 star reviews are fake. Does not know anything!! my 5 star review is 100% true. I have had nothing but excellent service from star rooter and plumbing for a 1 1/2 years. Part of the reason they need to change the whole pipe or do more on a job is because they're older properties and it's required by law to bring the plumbing up to code. And a Estimate is just what it says it's just an amount to give you an idea about how much the job it's gonna cost. until they get there and see what the problem is and yes the price may change. And from my experience with Star Rooter and plumbing. it's not that much difference their prices have been very fair. I highly recommend this company.

Line to the mail sewer was blocked and overflowed into my yard - yuck!! Julio came out immediately, gave me a fair price and got all the permits. He came back on the day and at the time he said and they finished the job in one day. Also handled the inspections. They cleaned up all the mess as well. Highly recommend Julio and his team. This team was absolutely AWESOME... my water line broke over night ( I had to shut water off at the main) so had to wait for Star to come the next morning. Request for quote was quickly responded to and when they got here they checked out all water lines around and under my home. I was considering getting two more quotes but I knew the labor would be tedious and I was shocked at the quote!! I told them to go for it. Four hours later the job was new water line was complete and concrete was patched. They did a spectacular job backfilling, patching concrete, cleaning and grading. Thank you so much to Juan and his team YOU ROCK!! and thank you Luis and Fred for being so responsive and coordinating today!! I HIGHLY recommend Star Rooter for your next plumbing job!!

Responsive and came same day to fix a leak. I have no idea what prices are reasonable, but I believe $420 for 2 hours of work to fix a pipe leak on a Sunday evening is reasonable. They arrived when they said they would and finished quickly. Glad we found them and they were able to take care of the problem so quickly what a relief. They also provide a 3 month warranty on their work. Very respectful and courteous.

Julio Solis was the supervisor on two jobs for me. These are what people dread, their sewer line breaking. The nightmare never came though! Julio and his crew were friendly and professional. Julio explained how everything would progress, the time frame, what to expect, and their were NO SURPRISES!!! When he first came out due to waste water backing up and not draining, he snaked the drain at the clean out. They also put a camera down to inspect, and were able to show me where my sewer line was broken. The local company that had been coming out to clear the drain about once a year, who also charged more, never put a camera down. So glad this problem with the drain is now done with! I was very pleased with Star Rooter and would highly recommend them for any plumbing problem. Thank you, Julio!

I had as good of an experience with these guys as can be expected. I was having a slow drain on my sewer line and had a local handyman come out to snake the line. When they pulled the snake out there were roots in the line so they recommended I call someone who could scope the line with a camera to see how bad things were.

One company was going to charge $300 just to scope the line. This was going to be in addition to any repair cost. Star Rooter does it for free! No brainer there.

I scheduled for the next morning and Juan showed up right on time, actually a little earl;y which was great. Access to under the house is in our master closet and they put down tarps to keep the floors clean. Before they started, I was told the camera work would be free but they would need to rooter the line if they could not get the camera all the way through the line. The price they quoted was half of what the handyman charged me who came out before. In the end they didn't charge me for it since I scheduled the repairs with them.

As I expected, the line was shot and needed to be replaced. They had me watch video as the pulled the camera out and explained what they were seeing. They gave me a quote which seemed reasonable so I decided to move forward. After seeing what goes into the line replacement I am surprised it wasn't higher.

These guys know their stuff. Juan was able to tell me about the permits they would have to get and the inspections with the city they needed to schedule.

A few days later he called to tell me what day they would be out to do the work. I missed that call so he left a message. The next day he called again to make sure that I received it. Very professional in my opinion.

A few days before the repair, they had PG&E come out to mark the gas lines and the water district come out and mark the sewer lines. The night before they came by to put out 'no parking' signs to keep that section of the street open.

The day of the work they came on time. They had about 4 trucks full of their equipment and they started right away. You could tell they have their system down really well. They asked if they could remove a section of fence on the side of the house for easier access. They put it back up as promised. The entire job took about 10 hours.

As much as I didn't want to have to replace the line, I am glad I went with Juan and his team.

Talk about the total package. These guys mean business. I dealt with Juan, a very professional and knowledgable specialist who was very easy to work with. They came to my house right on time to start the job discussed. As soon as I knew it, they were already done. The job was nice and neat, and couldn't complain one bit. Very bad service I'll never call star rooter again. They come and looked at my bathroom and said their be back and never come back gave me and my apartment manager the run around all day saying that their be at my apartment in an hour but never come
