I wasn't going to review them but them repeatedly LYING to my property management company brought me here. So I had a backed up tub in my unit due to something being wrong with the plumbing in my building.

This company is very unprofessional and the ladies who answer the phone are rude. I had to call them multiple times and they were unwilling to accommodate my work schedule. I also called on a Saturday and the plumber said he'd call back and never did!

When one FINALLY came out he was a pervert! He refused to walk in front of me so he could see me walk up the stairs as I was still in my night shorts and had allowed him to drop in 2 hours early, he then gets into my place and acts like he doesn't know how to turn on the bath tub so I have to bend over. Then he asks ""you off work today"" while lifting his eyebrows looking into my bedroom at my bed. When I told Jessica about it she says ""this doesn't sound like our guys, I'll reach out to him about it"" and was going to send him back.

They had to come out many times because they thought the issue was one place and ended up being another and this drug on for 2 months. Now, my advice to everyone is avoid this company because not only will they not be accountable for their lack, they'll then lie to your management company like you did something wrong. I ALWAYS keep receipts so better try again.

We had 3 estimates done and they came in the cheapest. Not only that, it was clear they were honest and reliable. He didn't want to quote us for work that didn't need to be done and told us what he thought was reasonable or not. Our neighbor also saw that he was helping us out and said that Star Rooter had helped them too and were able to finish in good time and did solid work.

We ended up changing our entire galvanized pipes to copper and also replacing some of our drain pipes and also added a hot water faucet to the outside of our home. He had quoted us a certain price and then charged us less because it came in less than he thought so he's clearly honest.

About 8 guys came in and finished the job in just a day instead of the 1.5-2 days that was quoted by other people. There were a lot of people but doing work but they were not intrusive and very efficient. Aside from them having to come back to fix a dishwater usage issue, which they did right away, our experience them was A+ and they were very professional. Glad we went with them for this important hike project. Our drainage and pipe system works smoothly now and we can see why they are a premier plumbing service in San Lorenzo and San Leandro .

Liked how Star plumbers came next day to fix our daughter's leaky bathroom sink. New parts were needed and they fixed the leak within an hour. This was the 3rd time since 2005 that we have gone to Star for our plumbing problems. The men have always been polite and respectful. Will continue to do business with Star Rooter & Plumbing.

I just purchased a house in Castro Valley and due to this crazy market had to take care of the sewer lateral after purchasing. I reached out to Star Rooter for the replacement as they were on the contractor list at CVSan. I was so glad I made the call. Julio is very responsive and came out early to inspect my house. I was driving back and he told me not to rush as he was going to inspect the area to see how to complete the job. I met with him and we talked, he gave me a quoted price and I asked to think about it with my wife and he was not pushy at all and said sure let me know later. You can call or text me. We later that night told him we would like to move forward. And the rest was history. The job is complete and no trouble at all. Will recommend to others that need work done from them

It was an unfortunate day when our kitchen drain was clogged really bad! After a thorough search of a reliable drain unclogging company who can help me right away, I'm glad I chose Star Rooter. Maria who received my call took care of me within minutes and Leo and another tech came right away and took care of my clogged kitchen drain! Fred and Joe both are super easy to work with! (Brothers)
We purchased a home and in need of a new sewer lateral to be compliance with the county. Joe was quick to go there and give my agent a quick estimate! Once we closed escrow, we waited about 2 weeks for Fred and his team to come out. We also had them help us get permit from the county so we wouldn't have to deal with the headache. When I met Fred and his team, I was taken back by how nice he was! Even my daughter said he was super nice! It took them one whole day to complete the work and pass inspection! The next day, I called Joe to make a payment and it was super fast and easy over the phone. I definitely recommend this company to everyone. Called Star Rooter & Plumbing on a Saturday afternoon because 2 of our toilets kept getting plugged up. I was told originally that they were booked up and couldn't send someone out until Monday. My elderly mom lives in the in-law next door and I said it was inconvenient for her to have to come over to use our toilet especially at night. The gal on the phone was really helpful and she said she would call me back. Within 5 minutes I received a call back and she told me she can get someone over between 6:30-7:30pm. At 6:45pm, Felix arrived and he accessed the issue and gave me a quote. We agreed on a price and he was able to use his high pressure sprayer to unclog our pipes. He had this nifty computer that is attached to a camera and ran that line through about 100' and can see all the way through our pipes that it was clear. He was really nice and professional and explained why we were getting the clog. Also said there is a 30 day warranty for the work that he did. I would highly recommend and use them again.
