I will not describe to you the issue my rental unit was having, other than to say it was nasty.
I called my regular plumber but he was in Tahoe and could not help. He did however recommended Star Rooter & Plumbing and specifically told me to ask for Fred.
I called and asked for Fred and proceeded to described the situation to him. He came out promptly, diagnosed the problem, and told me how much before he began to fix it.
He got the issue resolved and gave me some advice on how to prevent future problems. I asked him who his Boss was so I can tell his Boss what a great employee he is. To my surprise, Fred is the owner. He laughed and said owner operated means owner operated.
I highly recommend Star Rooter & Plumbing and definitely ask for Fred when you call.

My problem was a shower cartridge that I was trying to change myself came apart in the fixture and I couldn't get the rest of it out. This was on a Sunday evening, and I had the water turned off in a multiple-unit apartment building. They came quickly, did the job right, and charged a very fair price. I'll definitely use them again.

I asked for sump pump ejector inspection and to get a couple other things fixed. Guy who came was a total joker. Said they don't do sump pupm ejector inspections (daaahh, ok, then why'd you come??). On my dishwasher, he told me something (air gap) would have to be replaced, which was totally not the case. I say ""thanks for coming by ....bah bye""

These guys are a joke. They serviced my house twice through a home warranty. The first time they replaced the garbage disposal. They did a sloppy job and didn't complete the wiring resulting in electrical shorts. After the garbage disposal leaked they came out again and put a new disposal in. The dumb plumber forgot to punch out the plastic drain plug for the dishwasher to drain into and when we ran the dishwasher it flooded the counter. So he comes back out and punches out the plastic tab and then leaves it in the disposal so when we run the disposal it makes this terrible racket - sloppy work.

So I wanted to get a quote from him on running a water line for a new fridge. He crawls under my subfloor to give me an esitmate and comes back up telling me my drain lines are corroded and leaking and qoutes me $1000 to replace them and run a simple water line. Fortunately, I found an honest plumber to check things out and he found there was absolutely no problems with my drain lines. These guys are scammers and not to be trusted. Stay away from these guys.

Hard workers. That is all I have to say. What a mess they had to deal with at our house. They dealt well with it. They worked around the clock getting our plumbing fixed. They were reasonably priced and worked well with customer service.

Two stars for regular rooting sewer job, but don't let them do anything more than that. The plumber Juan arrived promptly, saw the clogged pipe and told me it would be $85 to root the drain or $125 to root the kitchen and main sewer and put the p-trap pipe back. I told him to do the $125 job as I don't want to fuss with the pipes.

He goes back to his van, couldn't find a wrench. WTF? You're a plumber and you don't carry a freaking wrench? So, I let him borrow mine. Yes, I let the plumber borrow my own tools. The rooting part was fine, but he then suggested he needs to go under the crawlspace to look at the kitchen pipes. Okay... 10 min. later he comes out and tells me I need to replace part of the pipe and he would give me a ""special"" price for $850. I told him I would think about it, he then proceeds to write up the bill of $220. Which was not the price he first quoted me. Mind you this was less than one hour of work. So, I asked him what about the $850 ""special"" he was going to cut me. He thought about it for a second and told me if I am willing to do it before certain date he would give me the ""deal"". I reluctantly said yes, and he left.

After thinking about it more, it just didn't add up for me. So I called around to see how much other plumbers would charge to replace a section of the pipe. I got three bids and all three were $200 under the deal Juan quoted me. So, I called and told them not to come back and I'll send a check for $220.

It was a $220 one hour rooting job using my tools. I should have charged him $$$ for using my tools. I'm really surprised that they got so high rating in Yelp... What a disappointing yelp referral. Would not recommend or use them again.

People need to stop handing out 5 stars like there's no tomorrow. there's a new ruler in town and I'm watching you guys.

They did a great job replacing my home's sewer later. Professional and thorough. They were able to start the 1 day job 2 days after bid. Their bid was $2000 less than one from another company. The cost estimate was completely accurate with no overruns.

My toilet backed up big time, not long ago on a Sunday night. I did a quick search on Google and found Star Rooter. I called the number on their website and was happy to find that the owner answered the phone directly - no waiting for an answering service to track him down and then have him call me back. Fred from Star arrived at my home about 35 minutes later and was in and out the door in under an hour. He quickly and carefully fixed my toilet (or the pipe or mainline or whatever was wrong, I stopped paying attention the minute I knew an expert was in the house). He also warned me about what to keep my eye out for in the future. All I know about the future is I will be calling Fred at Star Rooter & Plumbing again the next time our home needs a plumber.

I can't say enough about Guillermo at Star Rooter. He does outstanding work, will show up at your door at any hour, and - above all - has great integrity. I've been calling on Guillermo for my plumbing issues for a rental property I own and have been very satisfied with his honest, prompt, and expert service.

It was a saturday morning when a pipe broke under our front lawn, worried about how much this would cost (especially being so close to christmas) I jumped onto YELP to read reviews of plumbers in the area this was the first one I called (with the BESTreviews) I called and they answered on the 2nd ring! I explained the problem and he said they would send someone out, well about 10-15 minutes later!!! He was here!! he offered for us 2 dig the trench ourselves and he would knock off money so we opted for that!!, he ended up helping my husband anyway. & the price he charged couldnt be beat!! He went above and beyond !! He was an HONEST man and we will go back to him for all our plumbing problems!! you can trust STAR ROOTER!!!
