I was so disappointed to hear that my elderly parents had purchased a water filter system from Standard at double the cost that the manufacturer and others, sell it for and then when I installed it, I found that the filter's nipple snapped off while threading it in (no cross threading, or binding). I understand that companies with great customer service and return policies, come at a cost and product cost can reflect that, but unfortunately I found it to be opposite here. Both the original salesman that sold the product to my parents, as well as the salesman that I talked to for the return/exchange (Gordon), were very rude and unprofessional.
Standard would not help me at all with the defective product or the over charge, and the only option they offered was to return the product and they would send it back to the manufacturer before ever giving a credit. I chose to not give them any more money and will work with a reputable dealer in the future.
With service like this, I would not recommend this company to anyone. Very disappointed!

First time I went there and they were very knowledgeable and helpful. Conveniently located off of 15 and University.

I've been using Standard Plumbing for many years very fast service and they have whatever I need to complete my jobs

called to order a bunch of pipe to be delivered the following day and was told no , called todd they had no problem delivering my $4ooo.oo order, they must be following el cajon plumbing's lead , poor management

I love this place. I've been coming here for years and always leave taken care of. Very knowledgeable and friendly staff everyone for the counter guys to the ladies at the front desk.
Thanks standard Plumbing look forward to doing many more years of business with you !

I went there once and the employee that waited on me was very rude and unprofessional. He seemed to think that all of his customers should know as much as professional plumbers. He made a rude remark when I turned to leave.

JR and the rest of the team at Standard Plumbing are great.
I had an issue can called and they recommended I came in to better understand the problem. Although it was a bit of a drive it was totally worth it as JR walked me through the problem, the relatively easy solution and how best to do it. I didn't even end up having to buy anything major to fix it but JR still spent the time to patiently explain what to do and how to do it. It was much appreciated and I will certainly come back.

Jimmy b quick plumbing has only been using this company for decades! The best prices and the best customer service I've ever had in 17 years. You need to go to these guys!

They are the nicest funniest people to go to. I wouldn't go anywhere else. They make the customers feel like family. Free doughnuts! And hot dogs! And they are great help with plumbing... Go there

No body else explained it.
I have a Whirlpool hot water heater. Home Depot simply said, Oh, they have the reverse threads on the thurmocoupling, (which I needed) we don't have that, good luck finding it, try Lowe's. So I did and Lowe's sold me a part with out the reverse threads. So I went to Ideal Plumbing up on Waring Rd. nice people, but they couldn't help, and didn't explain. Now, Standard Plumbing couldn't get the part either, but the guy explained everything, so, once I understood I called Whirlpool and got the part, that isn't manufactured anymore, through a conversion kit, overnight mailed to me.
Point is, the guy at Standard Plumbing took the time to explain, knowing he wasn't going to make a sale. I will go to them first next time.
