Wow this place is a blast from the past. Heck they even still use dot matrix printers which I thought was very cool. I ended up not making a purchase as they explained to me that I was in the market for irrigation pipe fittings and not plumbing pipe fittings. They even recommended a great place locally that could accommodate me with my needs. Super friendly on the phone (Mike) and also the staff were very friendly and made me feel welcomed.

This place is awesome from the moment you walk in. Workers all look like they enjoy their jobs and the speed to which they help the clients was impressive.
I showed a couple of photos of some plumbing pieces I need and without any delay, the counter person disappeared behind the wall and brought one part out and then scurried off to another section of the building and returned with the other piece. Amazing (not just the fact they have it) but the level of customer service. I'm just a private guy - not the big plumbing businesses I saw in there that also received 5 star service. Great job and I've never received service like that at the Big Box Stores (you know who they are!)

LEO SAVED US!! Our grinder pump went out at the worst time-doesn't it always?- and Leo made it all work out ok. We wouldn't have been able to get our pump fixed if he hadn't been so helpful. I called last minute to see if they had the pump we needed in stock and they did! I couldn't find it anywhere! He said he would put it to the side for me. I was almost too late- they close at 5- but I called to let him know and he kindly told me he'd be there. Customer service has really gone down during the pandemic so to have someone be so kind it hit the feels. Thank you Leo and Standard Plumbing. I will recommended you to anyone and everyone!

Based on the cost of items here I cannot recommend my fellow neighbors from San Diego County Shop here. I was shocked to learn about the gross over priced supplies here and will never be going here again. Unfortunately, you shouldnt have to be someone to get something, especially nowadays when almost everything is on line. Dang Shame.
I will say however, the employees are very nice.

I was so disappointed to hear that my elderly parents had purchased a water filter system from Standard at double the cost that the manufacturer and others, sell it for and then when I installed it, I found that the filter's nipple snapped off while threading it in (no cross threading, or binding). I understand that companies with great customer service and return policies, come at a cost and product cost can reflect that, but unfortunately I found it to be opposite here. Both the original salesman that sold the product to my parents, as well as the salesman that I talked to for the return/exchange (Gordon), were very rude and unprofessional.

Standard would not help me at all with the defective product or the over charge, and the only option they offered was to return the product and they would send it back to the manufacturer before ever giving a credit. I chose to not give them any more money and will work with a reputable dealer in the future.
With service like this, I would not recommend this company to anyone. Very disappointed!

called to order a bunch of pipe to be delivered the following day and was told no , called todd they had no problem delivering my $4ooo.oo order, they must be following el cajon plumbing's lead , poor management

I love this place. I've been coming here for years and always leave taken care of. Very knowledgeable and friendly staff everyone for the counter guys to the ladies at the front desk.
