Don't even bother to look up the phone number for Southwood Plumbing - they DO NOT return phone calls. If you want an incredible plumbing company, look up Certified Plumbing and Rooter. Jesse, the owner is the man!!! He is a great plumber and can diagnose your problems immediately. He charges fair prices and will contact you immediately. He usually shows up the same day you call him. FORGET SOUTHWOOD ..............

I have been using Southwood now for about 6 years and they have been great for all the jobs big all small at my 5 unit building. Most recently they diagnosed and solved a sewer issue with roots in our main line and installing a pressure system toilet that saved us $1,000's of dollars compared to other companies that were suggesting a more extensive job. Highly recommended.

This is our go-to plumber for all clogged drain issues. We've been dealing with Southwood Plumbing for a long time. Love that it is a family-owned business. When you have a clogged or slow drain, it isn't the greatest situation in the world. Southwood has always responded as quickly as possibly - and their technician Scott works hard to figure out the problem and work efficiently and effectively. Much better than the larger companies that advertise a lot (and cost a lot more)!

I had high hopes for Southwood but boy did they let me down. I called for a price on a garbage disposal. The woman in the office said she would contact their supplier and call me back with the price. That was 2 weeks ago. After a couple of days i called again & she said that she hadn't heard back from the supplier. A couple more days passed & i called again - thus time she says the Insinkerator 880 is not a common one so it's taking longer to get information. A couple more days passed and i called again. This time she says that Dennis has the information and he gives customers the prices so she would not give me the information. And he would call me when he got in that same day. He did not call. I call back the next day and i'm told that Dennis is now out with a migrane and still she cannot get the information from him to give me.
I called another place which gave me a price on the spot and has 3 insinkerator 880 disposals in stock. So it is not an odd request nor a difficult task nor an unusual model disposal like Southwood made up to make excuses for their incompetence and delays. If they cannot even provide a customer with simple pricing information in a timely manner, i can't trust them to work effectively.

TERRIBLE service.

I am an accountant in San Jose, CA and I called in to make a payment for an important client of mine who owns many popular businesses in the Bay Area. This was my first time dealing with Southwood Plumbing and Heating. The receptionist, Kathy Stupi was extremely rude, disrespectful, immature and unprofessional from the very moment she answered the phone! She apparently is also the AR person as well as claims to be the manager, which makes the situation that much worse. A person with this kind of customer service should NOT be dealing with clients or people in general! And she's the manager?? Eeek..

Miss Kathy is definitely the reason why my client will never use Southwood Plumbing and Heating ever again and will definitely be spreading the word around our community about our terrible experience. Reading the other reviews for Southwood Plumbing and Heating, other customers seem to have the same feedback about the horrible service.

The guys at Southwood Plumbing are awesome! We had a water heater problem. They had to come out twice for it and only charged us for one visit.
Rheem had sent us a defective part. They could have billed us for the labor for 2 visits for an 1.5hours each but only billed us once. They get the job done for a fair price. Steve is the man. Southwood is are go to plumber.

Very disappointed! Called Saturday...Nothing. Ok. It's the weekend so I didn't expect much. Left my name and number. Again, nothing Monday morning. Ok. I get it. Busy. So I called and told my story. Receptionist VERY RUDE. I told her I had a clog in the sink and had used ""draino."" She said, ""I am short-handed, and I can't help you."" I told her that my mother has used their company for years. She said, ""If you were so-and-so's granddaughter, I still couldn't help."" Ok. So much for service. I asked if she could (or would) refer me to another person. Said, ""Rotor Rooter."" That was it. I have used their service, too, but have never had service like this. Perhaps she is a fill-in...I don't know, but I would suggest Southwood consider hiring a courteous professional to answer their phone!

worst service ever more interested in my check book than performing there work correctly .The technician did not know the product he came to service even though that claim to be certified air filtration specialists . He Installed an incorrect filter were it didn't belong and lied about it .after many calls to the office I had It repaired properly

Southwood provides terrible service. On a late Saturday afternoon, I had a plumbing emergency so I paged them 2 times & they never called back!! Roto Rooter responded in 30 minutes & they were fantastic. Southwood doesn't care & they never responded to the message I left pointing out how they should have at least called me back to say they weren't available so I didn't lose valuable time waiting!

Oh, & I let them know since I'm president of my HOA they lost all of our business. Master Plumbing was out today to do the work Southwood used to do. Jim & Armando found a courtyard drain that was completely blocked & missed by Southwood for years. Southwood is a terrible company because they don't care about their customers.

I had a really bad flooding at the house and I called south wood plumbing. I told them I was doing laundry upstairs and my downstairs toilet exposed with sewer water! Nasty! They told me sounds like ther sewer pipes are clogged.They sent someone over with in 15 min. He saw a drainage and started snaking the pipe with his machine. I forgot the plumbers name but he was extremely courteous and nice. He did everything he could to help and fixed the problem. Came in to the house but before he did he put his show covers on to bring no dirt inside ( very professional ) he made sure toilets were flushing properly and that he could hear the water running clearly through the sewer pipes. His customer service skills were top notch and gave me the feeling of reassurance and trust.

Overall they came quick when I needed them and the initial phone conversation was also great. I would highly recommend south wood plumbing if ever your in need of plumbing.
