When it was time to replace my two bathroom faucets and my kitchen faucet in my condo I checked out Yelp reviews. Given their good overall rating, I decided on SNH Plumbing. What a mistake.

After going to their showroom to check out fixtures and getting their sales pitch about how the identical make/model faucet at Home Depot doesn't have the same quality as the much pricier units in their showroom, I compromised and bought the two bathroom faucets from them and the kitchen faucet (Moen) from Home Depot.

First complaint: They charged me top dollar parts and labor and worse, after the two workmen went out to their van (I thought to prepare the bill) they never came back into my home to settle out. I finally went out there after 25 minutes (I work from home and was into my work) to see what the heck was going on and they nonchalantly presented me the bill which I wrote a check out for. The total was around $900 which was for two basic bathroom faucets, a vanity sink (to replace my cracked one) and the labor to install those plus the kitchen faucet I'd bought.

Later on, I reviewed the bill to see they had the gall to charge me for the nearly 30"" they sat in the van doing nothing but seemingly waiting for me to notice. I uncharacteristically let it slide, thinking I had received a high-quality job so I wasn't going to sweat it, even though it was nearly $100 ""labor"" for the half-hour of them goofing off in the van.

Second Complaint: My wife and I soon discovered the upstairs bathroom faucet's handles didn't seem to be equally tightened (or maybe one was overtightened) as the ""cold"" one was very stiff and hard to turn, while the ""hot"" handle was normal and easy to turn. Fast forward about 15 months after the installation of these faucets and the kitchen faucet leaks briefly right after you shut it off. Note that neither my wife nor I manhandle the faucet, it just crapped out for no apparent reason. That one is apparently on Moen as SNH Plumbing doesn't cover parts that aren't purchased through them.

Next up to crap out was the upstairs bathroom's faucet - the ""cold"" handle that was hard to turn had loosened up and now jiggled a bit. I tried to tighten it but it's not the kind where you just ""tighten the screw with a screwdriver"" but rather the kind where you have to grip and turn the part just under the pivoting handle. I would tighten it only to have it loosen up again shortly afterwards. It was a vicious cycle so I just shut the ""cold"" handle off from underneath as we only use the hot anyway. I never had this problem with the ""old"" faucets, I just replaced them because they were like 20 years old. This ""high quality"" one was less than 2 years old.

When I called SNH Plumbing about 15 months after they had replaced these faucets I was hoping they would fix the leaking kitchen faucet and the messed-up cold handle of the bathroom faucet. But the lady told me in so many words they couldn't do anything because it was over a year since I had the work done. I had pleaded my case succinctly and without getting angry, but it didn't matter.

The bottom line is I got ripped off after paying top dollar (with another $100 tacked on for good measure) and having two out of three faucets crap out after less than two years. As such, I highly recommend that you seek out a company with a conscience and better customer service.

My furnace was running poorly so I called Southern NH Plumbing and heating to tune it up. It ran worse afterward so I called them back and they charged me again to clean the heat exchanger and tune it again. Then it quit altogether so I called them back a third time and asked for an estimate before they did any more work. I got a bill emailed to me for a new oil pump and controller they already installed. They offered me 50% off because they had done the work without approval but by then the furnace had already quit again. I told them to come get their pump and controller and reinstall my old parts which they did. Then I had Heritage Plumbing and Heating look at it. Heritage confirmed that there was nothing wrong with the oil pump or controller and identified the problem as the wrong nozzle installed by Southern Plumbing and heating at the tune-up. This caused over $2000. worth of damage to my furnace which Heritage repaired and the furnace has been purring like a kitten ever since. I took Southern NH Plumbing and Heating to small claims court and won a refund on the tune-up but I am still out over $2000. This is the worst company I have ever dealt with.

The tub in my new home had a leak. I'd had good luck with Southern NH Plumbing & Heating before, so I called them. They fixed the leak, but there were several problems.

1. The dispatcher gave the plumbers the street address of my condo complex but not the unit number. Fortunately, I spotted their truck.

2. They sent two plumbers to fix a leak, increasing my cost. I don't know why.

3. The emailed receipt gave only a total, with no breakdown for parts and labor.

4. I had to clean up the tub afterwards, and they hadn't even removed the mat before starting work.

Other than that, the work was professional, but I don't think I'll call them again.

We purchased our house back in late April 2021. During the inspection process, we found a leak above the garage. Southern New Hampshire Plumbing and Heating was hired to fix the leak. Eric from Southern New Hampshire Plumbing and Heating came out on April 23rd 2021 to fix the leak above our garage. Turns out there was a water pipe that was punctured by contractors from when they nailed in baseboards in the laundry room above our garage. Fixing this required cutting a hole in the wall to get to the punctured pipe. When Eric fixed the pipe, we believed the problem was fixed, however now, 3 months later, we are noticing there is leaking again in the exact same spot. We called the company, as they claim they warranty their work for 12 months, and they are refusing to fix their work because ""the property was technically sold after the work was done"". Even though the work was done FOR THE SALE, as PART OF THE TERMS OF THE PURCHASE AND SALE ON THE HOUSE. PLEASE take caution before hiring this company. Clearly their work doesn't hold up, and they don't honor their work like they claim to.

I strongly DO NOT recommend Southern New Hampshire to anyone for OH SO MANY reasons. Rather than drone on about all of those reasons, I will just touch on the worst of the worst.

When copper pipes in my basement were leaking, the SNHP&H plumber could not find the source. He told me to text pictures and/or videos the next time I saw leaking to the number he called me from en route to my home that morning. Shortly thereafter, I took pictures and videos when the pipes were actively leaking. That was on May 1, 2021. No reply. I waited, as this particular plumber told me on the day he was in my basement that SNHP&H was SO busy. On May 12, I texted him again asking if I misunderstood what he told me. Again, no reply. Two weeks ago, I called the same number and he answered. He requested that I send pictures/videos because I told him it was getting worse. After I texted him updated videos of the leaking--he texted that he would let the office know he would have to ""get over to your place."" Again, no calls. I finally called the SNHP&H office, and was told she knew nothing about it, and why by the way, did that plumber give me that number to send pictures and videos to? She said that they give out a different number for pictures/videos.
Nonetheless, I made an appointment for the following week. AFTER she asked for a credit card number even though I had not been asked to give one for prior visits (And there were no issues with my payments, all paid in full day of service.) AFTER she informed me that SNHP&H hourly rate was now $15.00 more. AFTER she told me there would be no charge if the source of the leak could not be found. ( the leaking copper pipe is random, so I never know when it will leak.). Okay, I finally I had an appointment. She called me back minutes later to say the office manager overhead her, and that she was very sorry--but she was told that I would be charged the hourly rate (again) if the plumber could not find the source of the leak. FINALLY, I woke up. I told her to destroy my credit card number and cancel my appointment.

Please don't misunderstand. The girl who answers calls at SNHP&H was VERY nice, very pleasant, very professional. I know she is only doing what she is told to do. I actually feel bad for her.

It is the ""professionalsim"" of SNHP&H management itself that I take issue with. I am not sure if the company is just too busy, or if the owner(s) don't need the money or they simply just don't want this job. Better money elsewhere? Who knows...

I had high hopes for SNHP&H, but things just got worse as time went on. With the exception of the nice individual who answers the phone, I would give them a zero star rating if I could.

HEED MY WARNING!!!!!!! If you don't believe me read the reviews about how they almost blew up another person's house!!!!!

If I could do negative numbers it would be a-100.
Where to start.....

I called these guys to come out for troubleshooting my leaking boiler and it was my zone for the water heater.
The tech gets out here looks at the system and automatically goes and replaces my expansion tank witch was still good and then replaced the emergency relief valve which was still good and doing its job. Well as you guessed it the system still leaked. He then called his boss just to tell me that the hot water tank had a crack in it. So I asked for a quote to fix it. I was sent a quote but the unit he wanted to replace was subpar and I asked for a better one. The emails stopped and no communication was from these guys. So after a week of trying and no communication the boiler then stopped working. I called out a group from Mass. they came out quickly and assed the system and said I was lucky that the boiler didn't blow up and created more damage and danger to my family. I had more than a few issues.
1. The hot water heater tank was leaking and sending city water pressure back into the boiler. Upon that I had glycol that had contaminated my drinking water.
2. The relief valve that they replaced was 5x's the amount that the system was supposed to have on it. Which was 30 lbs max. The valve that was replaced could have blown up the boiler!!!!!!
3. They replaced a perfectly good expansion tank for the inexperience of the technician.
4. They wound up sending steam back to the boiler and ruined it.

Luckily I had replaced the whole system and upgraded it at a 27k price tag at what could have been a 3k water heater tank and tech time.

Oh it gets better......remember the city water pressure I was talking about. It went to my 2nd floor unit Aqua coils and damaged it. So my price tag for their incompetence is still going up.

So if you want to risk your home and safety to these guys that's all on you. Please read the 50+ reviews that are ""not recommended"" in Yelp because it drops their stellar reviews. Also on BBB they are not an accredited company.

Called them this morning after we woke up to our bathroom flooded from wall to wall. They were able to come out a few hours later and quickly fix our exploding toilet situation. They were in an out in under an hour. Grateful for the quick, professional, and friendly service!

Almost blew up my house.
Hired them for two smaller jobs before getting my propane boiler replaced. Big mistake.
1. Written quote was $1900 HIGHER than verbal quote given day of estimate
2. First night after install the furnace ran on HIGH all night - heating my house to 80+ degrees - Why? They'd left a bypass valve in the wrong position overriding the thermostat. How much $$ in propane did that cost?
3. Then propane proceeded to LEAK INTO MY HOUSE FOR A WEEK due - again- to an installation issue - I'd had 3 wood stove fires in that time.
4. First email to management about valve in wrong place (and worker not wearing mask in my home) - unanswered.
5. Second email a week after leak fixed (which, btw, they think I should be GRATEFUL to them for coming to fix the leak they created and that could have killed me) received a call: Promised to bring to management for resolution (whether that was a credit toward future work, or even a simple acknowledgment of their mistakes) - never heard back.
6. Third and final email gives no apology or resolution, however reinforces that I should be HAPPY that they came to fix the leak THEY made.
Andrew, (the owner) who ""checked"" his men's work himself the day of the install, has never once contacted me, nor has anyone else on the management team. Hire these guys and you put your own life at risk. And they won't even care enough to say sorry.
