Called about a leak at our water heater. Jose G. identified the problem, quoted us a price to fix it, or get a whole new system. We weren't ready to spend that kind of money (and definitely not the ridiculously expensive quote for a temporary fix), so he took a minute or two to walk me through through DIY repair steps. Not pushy. I shelled out $40 for the parts and did it myself. The advice saved us hundreds, and I'll consider them for work down the line.

My wife has to work Thanksgiving weekend so we moved our small family Thanksgiving to this weekend. Last night my garbage disposal decided to go out. I called Southwest as they have done plumbing for us in the past. I called them at like 8am (Thursday). I was told dispatch would call me by noon to get me a window for when their plumber would arrive. At around 12:20pm I got a call from their dispatch and was told I would have someone to my house between 1pm and 5pm. At 5:30pm I call them and ask if someone was going to be able to come install the disposal. Linda the dispatcher wouldn't give me a straight answer. Wouldn't even ballpark it for me. At 7pm she calls me back and says they won't be able to come out until Sunday between you guessed it, 12pm and 5pm. So Thursday between 12-5 turned into 4 days until they could come out. Who taught these people the art of scheduling? They have lost a customer in us.

Side note - they would not offer any kind of estimate for the job over the phone. I get very complexed jobs but there us something wrong when a company cant quote you a price fir installing a garbage disposal.

Whoaaa so many bad reviews here.
We called SW plumbing two weeks ago because we had 2 leaky faucets and the tv kept playing their commercial so why the heck not.
They responded immediately, got us scheduled, and actually showed up! They got the job done fairly quickly and had to come back for the second job, which would have taken longer and they needed to order a part for it.

Ffw to 2 weeks later, they came and did the job. We did have to follow up once because we hadn't heard from them, but we got scheduled and it was fine. Our appointment actually got pushed back 1 day, but they were great at communicating and letting us know. They wore masks in my house, kept everything clean and also cleaned up after they finished. Both times we had a great experience.

Did we overpay? I'm not sure because when I want a service that requires skills and is located in an area that's difficult to access, I want someone to do it properly. That being said, them actually communicating with us and showing up for the appointment is worth it so I don't have to continue wasting my time. The work came with a 1 year warranty and when I did a quick search online, the price may be on the higher end but definitely not 2-3x the price as some other folks have experienced.

Call someone else.... roto rooter, apollo, day & night plumbing... anyone!
My experience....
1st call - made appointment for next day - called at 4:00pm to say couldn't make it - reschedule following day. Paid $719.16 for first repair.
Two weeks later a ""new leak"" occurred 3 inches from the new repair.
Called for appointment - scheduled for next day - called me at 3:30pm to say plumber called in sick. Really? At 3:30 in the afternoon. Re-schedule for next day. Said they gave me a break on cost - paid $539.18.
Hmmmm..... very suspicious about new leak occurring so close to 1st leak and the company has no respect for your time.

I'm am so disgusted with this company. I called because of low water pressure. They said I needed to replace the galvanized pipes with copper pipes. I paid $3850 to have them do the work. The water pressure was so much worse on all the sinks & 1 outside faucet could no longer be used, after the work was completed . I recently found out that they didn't install copper pipes to the sinks, because they don't get involved with drywall, which they never mentioned to me on their initial visit. Then I was informed that the copper pipes were connected to the galvanized pipes going to the sinks, which can make the water pressure worse than before......which is what happened.
I was scammed by this company......if they would have been truthful to me, I would have never had copper pipes installed. Their paperwork states ""lifetime warranty with a repipe"". What a joke & very dishonest. Never hire them, horrible company!

I was charged over $600 for them to come out and repair a leak under my sink. After stating to me that the plumbing under my sink was illegal, they did the repairs. 4 days later instead of one leak I now had 3 different. I called to report my issue. They were scheduled to come out on the folowing saturday. No show Saturday and Sunday. Finally Monday they came out and proceeded to tell me that there would be additional cost to the $600.00 plus I have already paid to due the repairs to there work they have done previously. Then they proceeded to tell me how to fix the problem myself since i refused to pay additional money for their mistakes.

Shame on you Southwest plumbing. Im retired and on a fixed income. So im already financially limited. And not to mention elderly. How dare you have such bad customer service!

Not too mention unrealistic estimates more so then other companies in the same business.

You should guarantee your work that do in people s homes or places of business. And you most definately should be making sure 100% it is work that is done correctly and if not at the least repair at your cost if the work wasnt up to standard.

Steer clear of these plumbers.
Read reviews and and get multiple estimated prior to hiring someone.
That was the one mistake i made.

I had a bathtub faucet valve that went bad. I took it out myself, and could not repair it, and I didn't know how to find a replacement. My regular plumber was unavailable, I had the water shut off, and it was becoming an emergency. A guy from Southwest came, looked at the valve, had no idea what brand it was and said he couldn't replace it. Gave me an estimate for $1,400 to replace the entire faucet assembly. I sent him away. Went to my local hardware store, they sent me to a plumbing supply place, and they handed me a replacement valve, a Price-Pfister, $50. My regular plumber says it's the most common brand out there, and his truck is full of replacements.

Have had decent experiences several years ago with this company. Not recommended now. Their employee, Mike, spent hours trying to fix a couple slow drains and charged me $625.00!!! One of the drains was not working at all when he left.
Tried to get the manager, Ryan, to return my calls but nothing from him.

Run!

Southwest arrived within 15 min of my call when our sewer line broke and backed up in to our house causing a flood. This turned out to be a 5 day repair, and I'm not talking short days, I feel like I had a Southwest Plumbing army working for me. They handled getting emergency locates, applying for permits, talking to the inspectors, and so much more. I was warned this could take up to 2 weeks but they finished in 1 week, I was surprised and so happy. This was a big job with a big price tag, but I didn't shop around, no time for that, it was an emergency and to me the service they provided over the past week was worth what may have been saved by shopping around.

I had called to have my faucet ,again, in the kitchen as it seems it was not fixed the first time. I had them out a couple of months to fix it and the toilet and they wanted to charge $1000.00. I said ""No"". Then he said $700.00 and I said "" are you kidding are we on Let's make a deal"". He said alright $400. I said fine. Then I find out he wrote the the bill up for a replace tank and repaired faucet. He never replaced the tank he only tightened a few things on it and tightened the faucet. He didn't bother to check the faucet out to see it needed to be replaced or the hoses. I was told by the person that installed it that it was a ""life time warranty"" and if anything goes wrong with it they would replace it. When I explained all this to the person on the phone the day they were to come out the gal tells me the the faucet only has a 2 yr warranty though them but, a life time though the manufacture. I told her that was not what I was told. She said she would talk to he manager and have him call me. That was at 8am. It is now 1pm. how long does it take for a Manager to call a person back. It is offence they don't want to correct there mistake that they make. Watch out for this company. They do bait and change on you. On COVID-19 they will charge you outrages prices also. BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY!
