This plumber keeps saying he is showing up and never does. When he does show up does a really bad job. Did something simple - changing toilet inners and left my toilet leaking. Did not seal it properly. Do not use this plumber

Smitty's Services was initially contracted by my homebuyer's warranty. I was initially impressed by his coming to my home to diagnose the issue the same day, but it all went downhill from there. After getting approval, he promised me that he'd come the next day to do the work and did not. After waiting (and wasting) the entire afternoon, I finally called him at 7:17PM. He told me that he couldn't come again and PROMISED that he'd come at 8AM the next day and that he'd call me before he left Woodbridge. Not only did he not show up, but he never returned the repeated calls and texts from me and the warranty company for the next 6 days. He then said he'd come by today but clearly could not be trusted. I read the reviews for Smitty's Services and saw that other people had the same problem. I foolishly thought that wouldn't happen to me. We HAD to use a different company, which turned out to be AMAZING. They texted me the technician who was coming and even sent a picture of him. They came out within an hour and fixed the issue within 40 minutes. They even had the part on the truck already.

Homeowners warranty initially contacted them for a lack of water issue. Service was good and timely.

The problem comes from when I hired them to replace another part that would allow my family to actually drink our water, and after getting a sample for testing, we were ghosted. As of writing it's been over 3 weeks since the sample was taken (we were told testing would take only a few business days) and over a week since I last heard anything from them, which was a text saying ""not yet"" when I asked if the results were back in.

It's been close to a month since my family has had drinking water, and we've gone with another company. ?

My home warranty company sent Smitty's services to my house to fix a plumbing issue. Normally it takes a week or two for a contractor to even respond. Not this time, I woke up this morning to call from the technician verifying I was home because he was on his way. This was 12 hours after I put the service ticket in. The gentleman that did the work was prompt, courteous, and fast. Not only did he fix the problem in a few minutes he also walked me through it step by step so next time I can fix it myself. 5 stars !!!!

Terrible and unprofessional. Our garbage disposal stopped working so the warranty company assigned Smitty's to fix it. I finally get ahold of them on Monday to schedule a repair for Tuesday. He demands cash for the $45 service fee when I asked if I could write him a check. Fine. He then says he can come Tuesday between 9am and 11am and that he'd call when he was on his way.

Tuesday rolls around and I did not hear from him between that timeframe so I call him around 11:30am to see if he was still coming. He answers and rudely says that he will call me when he's on his way, and tell him the window has come and gone which is why I am checking in. Then he switches to ""the warranty company hasn't paid me in three months so I'm not coming!"" I am confused since: a) how would I even know this and, b) why did he even schedule my appointment, and c) why are you yelling at me? When I asked him these things he screams in the phone that he wants his effing money and he wants it now and then hangs up on me.

So unprofessional, avoid at all costs.
