We had an emergency (self-inflicted) late on a Monday night. We're new to the area, so it's nerve wracking to find help in your home without the benefit of a previous relationship or friends to ask. I sent the request for service to 5 plumbers on Yelp. Peter was the first to respond (@ 9 PM), and said he could be at our house 1st thing in the morning. He quickly diagnosed our problem, explained the issue, and made the repair. For a very reasonable price! It's nice to know we now have a plumber for future projects. I highly recommend Smart Plumbing.

Peter was able to give me an online quote in less than an hour for two problems. Although planned for next morning, he had a cancellation and called me up. I just bought my house so 2 things turned into a few since I had him here. Up front with costs as he went and cleaned up after himself. Also showed me where the main shut off valve was located. Good to know. I highly recommend.

I requested the work via the Yelp app at about 3am, which is when we noticed a leak in our garage ceiling. He was available that same day and arrived on time. He spent about 5 minutes just asking me questions to diagnose the issue, before he started any work, which I appreciated. He explained the process to me as he did the work and made sure he pointed problem areas. He was very thorough in checking all possible causes. He even went a step further and walked my backyard to see if he noticed anything odd regarding the septic tank...which was completed unrelated to the call. There was a $39 service fee, which he informed me of before he arrived. He replaced a bathtub overflow and had to pull off some damaged sheetrock in the garage ceiling to diagnose and test the repair. The charge was $90 so I paid a total of $129. I'd assumed the service fee would go towards the repair, which is common experience for me, so it was a surprise when it was itemized as a separate charge from the repair work. However, he was so thorough and accommodating that I felt the $129 was well earned. If work and service were average, I would have gave a 4 star rating. My only issue was that he did not wear a mask. I made sure I had a mask on and was aware of my distance. With covid, wearing a mask to customer's home is an additional courtesy that I think all service techs need to adopt. I did not take off a star for that, as it is not a direct reflection of the work and would normally not be an issue, if we were not dealing with this crisis. The leak has not returned, service was great, he made sure to replace his shoe covers each time before entering the house, he engaged me in an unrelated matter and I did not feel overcharged. I would use again but with the expectation that he would perform the work in mask, IF we are still dealing with covid.

I called Smart Plumbing to see if they could re-route copper pipes from the floor to the wall for a double vanity in a guest bathroom. Peter came the next day. He gave me a 2 hour arrival window and was here well within that timeframe. He's friendly and knowledgeable and got the job done pretty quickly. He came back the following day to complete the job once we had done some sheet rock work. I really don't have any way to run a comparison as far as price. Seemed a bit high but I feel he provided a quality service. Great job and I would highly recommend him.

When you call Smart Plumbing, you will speak to Katie most likely. She is super efficient, polite, and patient (even with me bumbling on like a dumb new-home-owner). Her customer service is fantastic!!! Thank you Katie for helping me during the stressful time of not having hot water. If you are someone like me, who knows little about the plumbing, gas, heating and air conditioning, but wants to learn as much as your busy life allows, Peter is the man you want to come to your house! Incredibly thorough and willing to take the time to talk you through his process of diagnostic and solution. Have Smart Plumbing earned 10 stars yet? If not, I will keep going Let's talk cost. Obviously, being without hot water for your entire family puts you """"over a barrel"""" (google it). If I hadn't mentioned yet, I grovelled and begged Katie to send help the same day... She did and I had hot water before the kid got home. What would you expect to pay? $400? Worth it. $300? That's a great deal. What if you thought $200? You would be wrong again, because they charged me less than $150. Thank you both for making a very stressful situation as comfortable as possible. I know that I will tell everyone one I know to call Katie and Peter at Smart Plumbing!!! PS. I didn't even mention how Katie got the information about my issue, and patched me nearly immediately (within 30 minutes) through to Peter. Before coming to the house, he called me directly and walked me through a few troubleshooting and diagnostic step. They were trying to help me solve the issue for free. Just awesome service.

My monthly water bill tripled in price. I called smart plumbing and received a call back within 30 minutes. Peter came out the next day and evaluated the situation. He explained the differences between repairing and replacing my main waterline very clearly. I chose to replace the main water line. The entire job was done in less than half a day.I have to say this experience was the best I've ever had with a contractor of any type. Peter was very professional friendly responsive and did a great job. I will never call another plumber! Highly recommended.!

Peter was fast and efficient at replacing my kitchen sink faucet and even tried to help me troubleshoot some other issues in my house that i needed addressed at a later date . Peter also called back quickly to give me a quote . Will use again.

Our hot water heater went out and Peter came over the same day I called. He offered to check the elements on it, but based on the age of the heater (14 years) he recommended that we replace it. He came back the next morning with the new heater, installed it, cleaned up and took away the old. Peter was friendly, professional and very responsive. His prices are very fair and I will definitely be calling him with any future plumbing needs.

Had an emergency with our hot water heater. Over 13 years old and it just broke down one morning. Called Smart Plumbing and had suggestions and quotes within an hour and a new gas 50 gallon tank at a great price installed later that day with a one year agreement for Peter to return for any issues and a 6 year manufacturer warranty on top of that. He took out the old tank and disposed of it and installed the new one for us and then reviewed everything he did. Peter thank you so much for your help, advice and hard work. In addition he drove all the way back out to our house when I thought I smelled gas just to ease my nerves. Turned out to be nothing but he was polite and thoughtful and made absolutely sure there were no leaks or errors. Would definitely recommend him for plumbing needs and I'm sure we will call again should any other plumbing issues arise!

Peter is hands down, THE BEST plumber you will find in the area. I called him to discuss fixing two leaking bathtub faucets in two separate bathrooms and he was able to come out the next morning to take care of my issue for a very reasonable price. I also mentioned to him that I had a water knock in the pipes and he told me that the regulator on my water line into the house was not the right size. He came back the next day and took care of that! Peter is courteous, prompt and efficient in his work and never once did he try to sell me on spending any more money than I needed to. In fact, I have two water heaters in my house that are roughly 14 years old (a couple years past their life expectancy). I discussed options with him and he told me to wait until they start to fail then I can replace them with a newer, more efficient system. Other plumbers and contractors have tried to talk me into getting them replaced now. I promise I will not use anyone other than Peter for my plumbing needs and I strongly urge you to do the same. He will save you a lot of hassle and money!!
