Contacted Slusher Plumbing to inquire about getting an estimate for my new build in LAW. Polite Lady took my info down and said she would have someone reach out. To my surprise I received a call back by the same lady within 5 min ! I was taken aback by her response.
She indicated she spoke to one of the owners about my request. She responded that he wanted to me to know three things before moving forward. 1 ) There would be a charge for providing and estimate for my project, 2) They are typically 25% higher price than everyone else. 3) They could even get to my project for at least 4-5 mos. Thought the whole experience was a bit strange but realized they just didn't want to deal with me. I did ask why they are 25% higher than everyone else. She said simply, we are the best! Doubtful based on just my short interaction.

Wish I would've read the reviews before calling this place. They are scammers. Came out 3 different times and told us our heater was fixed, when we came to the house it was not fixed. Called another company to fix it and they told us what was wrong within 30 minutes and they were less than 1/2 the cost. If you're a vacation home owner beware, they charge you for work they don't do and sneak in extra charges (like the cost of their drive to your house)

Mr Slusher showed up on time, installed a new kitchen faucet and took care of our other needed plumbing repairs. he was able to find some hard to get parts for our bathroom fixtures and returned to finish the project,
We appreciate his professionalism and fair pricing.

I was blown away by the response and service given to me by Slusher Plumbing. David could not have been more professional and efficient. One day response, showed up on time (exactly!) and got right after my problem. He was quick to analyze the problem, explained the process he would need to do to repair it and accomplished it in An amazingly quick and efficient manner.
I got lucky by picking Slusher and would definitely recommend them to anyone in the Sierra. Slam dunk!

Would have been a good review if the work done was only the work needed and requested.
I had a leaking tankless water heater valve. I forwarded them pictures, told them one was leaking. They agreed and they even warned me that the valves come in pairs so I would have to purchase a pair. I said that is fine, I can keep the spare for the future if needed.
He showed up promptly with the valve and got to work after I confirmed and showed him the problem valve.
When I checked in on him approximately 45 minutes later he had removed the properly functioning valve and was then starting to remove the broken valve. I asked him why on earth he removed the intact, functional valve, to which he said, ""it comes with both valves, so I replace both valves."" I told him that was not necessary and that he should have just replaced the broken valve. He stared at me.
At this point, the damage was already done, and the extra time and expense was already ticking. I had no choice but to bite my lip and walk away.
Next challenge was his inefficiency (aka padding bill again?). He was extraordinarily slow once he was 'done' - having walked to his truck and futzed around long enough at the truck (nothing really to clean up with this job), that I was able to clean out the interiors of two cars, sweep my garage, and organize some shelves. This brought his time to 2 hours 4 minutes (I started a timer when he got to the house). He rounded this up to 2:15 for labor, which was in addition to $60 fee for coming to the house. His hand written invoice was part of his time at the truck. Total expense for a single valve replacement $577, which he turned into 2 valves replaced. Part of the padding of the bill was also the materials which he itemized (only after I asked him why the bill was as large as it was) verbally as $231. On Amazon a pair of valves costs $70.
To their credit - they promptly came to our home even during Covid stay at home orders and on a Saturday (called before noon, arrived within the hour).
Technical performance - 4 stars
Padding bill - 1 star

Little high on theiR pricing. They do dependable work. Not a lot of choices in area so if you don't mind paying more they would be a good choice.

I had originally posted my review of slusher plumbing a couple years ago. It basically stated that while working for a company that operated several franchise fast food restaurants, I contacted slusher plumbing to clear a drain that was backing up onto the floor. After two days and slusher twice cancelling, I found another plumber in Susanville who was there and had the drain cleared within the hour. The kicker was that the other plumber was almost half the hourly rate.
I was forced by my employer to take the review down after the owner of slusher plumbing repeatedly called and harassed the owner of the company that I worked for. I found the behavior of slusher plumbing to be childish and unprofessional.
I can't recommend doing business with this company.

Their employee Steve did an incredible job. He was very professional, knowledgeable, polite, friendly and was so understanding our stress with the plumbing issue we had. First he tried to find the problem under the sink, but that was not it. He had to crawl under the house with hardly any crawlspace (dirty and nasty under there) and found the problem and FIXED it!!! Then he thoroughly cleaned all the mess up under the sink and provided us with detailed info how to avoid further problems. Outstanding work!!! .... and not only that, Slusher Plumbing responded to me immediately and fixed the problem the same day, after I had no luck receiving return calls from other plumbers. Also, very fair pricing!!! I highly recommend Slusher Plumbing and their employee Steve!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We called Saturday and had to give a credit card before they would make an appointment. I explained to them our heater has been out since Friday and we have a baby. The earliest they could come out would be Wednesday morning. Tuesday night they called and cancelled and said earliest they could show up was Friday. I was told by numerous people that is how they work and heard nothing good about this company.

If I could give a zero star I would. Do NOT use this company! They are SCAMMERS!! Cliff notes: They gave a quote. Then decided to invoice us for DOUBLE the quote. When we contested the bill they called the Plumas County Sheriff to come out the next morning to talk to us about the bill. After several attempts at calling and asking for the owner with NO calls back we mailed a check for the quoted amount and the owner sent the rest of the bill to collections!!! NIGHTMARE!!! HORRIBLE business!!!
Full story: Saturday June 30th, the weekend before the 4th of July, myself, my husband and kids, my brother and his family and my mother were staying at her cabin in Lake Almanor Country Club. The toilets backed up! Yuck. So my mom called Slusher and they could have someone out in a couple hours. Yes!! So the first technician arrived. He said he needed to snake the line. However the snake on his truck was broken so he would need to call someone else. So he wanted 1.5 hours for another truck. Truck two arrived, who also happened to be the owner of the company. So they snake the line with his truck. It wasn't working. The first tech said he would need to camera the line. My husband, and brother who were out watching said how much would that be, where are we at cost wise. He said it was $465 for what they had done so far and adding the camera. My husband said great, about $500 then, he said yes. So they camera the line (maybe 40 feet?). They determine its a tree root through a pipe, pull their equipment out. The owner leaves and the first tech presents bill. Its for $1000!!!!! My husband (who is also a business owner) said no way. We were quoted a price, and thats what were paying. This is DOUBLE!! The tech said I didn't write the bill I'll have to call the owner back. So the owner comes back. My husband is waiting in the driveway. The owner is demanding to speak with my mother ""the client"" (who hasn't been out dealing with them at all, its been my husband and my brother). He said no, were not paying this bill that's double what is quoted. The owner said that's the bill and leaves. The office staff called my mothers cell a little later and my husband again took the call, the office said they were going to refuse to talk to anyone but the ""client"". My husband said its not okay to double a quote, they can mail an updated bill and have a good day and hung up. The next morning no joke, a Plumas County Sheriff knocks on the door!! He said he was called about a complaint of us not paying a bill. We showed him the $1000 bill for snaking a line and wanted to talk to my husband because he was the one that talked with the workers. The sheriff told him that a lot of the companies try to gauge the non-locals and just try to work with the owner on the bill. I have reached out to the PCS for a copy of the report, or CAD incident. Its a long process to get that, but I will update with a picture IF they send me a report. The office said its up to the supervisor if they send anything out when its a civil matter and no crime incident was involved. Ill add a picture if I get that report. So that next week my mother tried to call the office SEVERAL times to speak with the owner. She also started a complaint on the Better Business Bureau. (I tired to look up the report number but BBB says its updating this companies page). When I get the number of the complaint ill see if I can add it here. The complaint is written by my mom. The owner NEVER returned my mothers call. She tried to get over the headache. She mailed a check to the company with the amount that was quoted to us. She sent it signed received so she knows they got it. Then last week my mom got notified they sent her to collections!! For a bill that is obviously under dispute! So now she has to send copies of the complaints, copy of the check she sent, the invoice etc to the collections office.. what a headache!! All because this OWNER decided to try to DOUBLE his quote and gauge my mom!!!! WHAT A SCAMMER!!!!!!!! NEVER EVER do business with this company unless you want to be charged DOUBLE, have the police called on you, and sent to collections!!!! HORRIBLE!!!!!!
