Our home insurance sent Sleuth to look for leaks in specific spots in our home. A technician named Jay showed up and spent almost two hours talking about how our floors were a massive problem, they needed to be torn out and replaced and that everyone's floors in Florida do. He was extremely redundant and insistent on the subject but offered no solutions. This was not why he was hired. It was difficult to redirect the unpleasant (and unnecessary) alarmism and no one else (including two other reputable leak detection companies) confirmed any of his information. It was a strange experience. I would suggest to avoid this particular inspector if possible.

Sleuth is the LEAST CUSTOMER Focused business I have ever dealt with. The Sleuth rep found the leak and said he could repair it. But, because I did not have an exact matching tile to replace the one Sleuth would need to break to get to the leak and stop the water, he refused to fix the leak. REASON: as stated by Sleuth rep, he said that Sleuth does a lot of jobs for insurance companies. If he broke the tile to fix the leak and stop water flowing into my house and then I filed an insurance claim, I might insist that the insurance company replace all the tiles so that the tiles match. The insurance company would come after Sleuth. He again reiterated that Sleuthgets a lot of business from insurance companies and they could not anger them. Isn't that a great business ethic? But they still wanted their $360 which he demanded in a somewhat menacing manner. I guess Sleuth worships at the altar of Insurance companies and the almighty dollar rather than at church on Sundays. Sleuth is the worst in my opinion.

Leak required ceiling and insulation removal. They left an absolute wet mess and ceiling parts and dust all over the floor, tables, chairs ,kitchen appliances . It took three of us three hours to clean up. When I asked their guy before he departed if he was going to clean his mess up he just laughed and said it was not his job to do that. And he left. I'd certainly recommend a better company for detecting a leak.

Came home to a flooded bedroom, bathroom, hallway. Nightmare! Bobby from Sleuth with his sophisticated equipment found the problem in no time. Broken pipe in the wall! He was on time, great communication. Highly recommend this company and a shout out to Bobby. Thank you.

Sleuth Leak Detection is one of the most professional and well-managed company I have ever done business with. Marty was the first technician that arrived on time at my house, he was exceptionally professional, polite, knowledgeable and did everything he could to solve the problem. At some point Marty decided to call a second technician from Sleuth, Colby to investigate further and understand what was going on. They spent several hours and had many different challenges; however, they managed all the challenges and exceeded successfully. They are a true caring, professional, amazing company and very reasonably priced. I will certainly recommend your company to others, and I am very grateful that you took care of me.

Called """"Sleuth"""" by plumber recommendation. Very professional, highly skilled man came from Jacksonville to Deltona FL. Within 1 hr he had located the leak under the slab to within 3 inches horizontally. He charged $300. We asked if he could do more: he offered to open the floor, cut through concrete and put a temporary clamp until plumber could finish. He charged an extra $150. He was fast and neat and left everything clean. Another company quoted over $6.000, with no guarantee to just locate it. Nothing else. Sleuth was great. Thorough, efficient, neat, and very reasonable. I would highly recommend them. Kevin was the tech who came to us. Hope you can get him, but I am sure others are just as good.

Sleuth has detected two leaks in our previous home and pinpointed the source of moisture in our current home. We were amazed at how quick and accurately they detected our problems. Two were slab leaks and they found the exact location, which prevented excessive damage to our flooring when having repairs completed. Most recently, Shawn (field technician) was able to detect the source of moisture in our attic a/c ductwork. He was fast, thorough and friendly! We HIGHLY recommend Sleuth for leak detection. Their service will save you time and potential damage to your home.

Sleuth leak detection was used by UPC insurance to determine a leak that ruined my kitchen floor. The technician didn't seem to know what he was doing and didn't seem to put much effort into finding the leak. He said it was my garbage disposal and left. Upon calling another company, it was actually my dishwasher that had been slowing leaking underneath my laminate flooring. My tech was Matt.

I'm never using Sleuth again. 2 days ago they came to my house to locate a leak under the slab. They found it, broke a hole and put a clamp on it and left $425. Hours later it filled with water. I called them back, less than 3 feet away a coupling from another fix popped, because they caused it. No problem they charged me again. With a $100 discount. $325. In the mean time I had to call an emergency plumber to fix this bigger problem they caused. Find some other leak detection company that doesn't enjoy ripping people off.

I had a negative experience with American Leak Detection, and I suspected I still had a leak problem. Called Sleuth, and Technician Matthew Booth showed up right on time. Matthew began by checking my meter, and found that when all the water was off, the meter did not move, meaning we had no leak under the slab, or in the house. The water company has just installed a new meter, and the suspicion is it was not calibrated properly. This took 5-10 minutes, and Matthew did NOT charge us for the call! Amazing! Great honest response! I will call Sleuth in the future for any leaks I suspect.
