I am pleased to provide the 186th 5-star rating for SJ Rooter & Plumbing. Our home has had a chronic issue with slow drainage from kitchen sink (in an "island") for 10 years. We have had plumbers come out 4 or 5 times during this time frame and run a power snake down the drain which yielded temporary clearance. Johnny at SJ Rooter performed a hydro-jet service (from exterior clean-out location), then ran a camera down to the main, which proved full clearance. It was unbelievable the waste that came out. (He explained that the snake only pokes a hole through the grease and is not effective.) We also had him do a toilet leak repair and replace an interior water shutoff valve which had corroded and broke. [All in a half day.] We will call Johnny should any other issues arise. Also, he did not try to upsell us on anything and pricing was reasonable. He showed up on time and got the job done. Highly recommend.

SJ Rooter is simply the best at his job, in addition to providing top notch customer service. One side of my yard was holding water and I needed the basins cleaned out - they hadn't been cleaned in 7 years. SJ not only provided me honest feedback but was very competitive with his pricing. Next time I need plumbing services, he's going to be my first and only call!

SJ Rooter & Plumbing (Johnny) was worth my time and well worth the money.

I had called and set an appointment with another very large, well known plumbing company in Houston. First, they gave me a 2 hour window of arrival. After no one arrived, I called, only to find out that the "technician is just finishing up on another job and will be there soon." Three hours later (a total of 5 hours), I told them to forget it. I never received a phone call or email of an apology or offer to reschedule.

I called another company this week, but after reading the Yelp reviews, decided to keep searching.

I am so glad I did. SJ Rooter & Plumbing will get all of our plumbing business as long as we live in Houston. Take my word, and the word of the other 160+ 5-Star reviewers:
