I have purchased a Water Heater from Simply Green and had been satisfied with the purchase. However, I had to have them come out and Flush tank during the warranty period. I called to have them come out to Flush it again and they quoted me a fee of $89.00... and set up an appointment from 8-10 am. At 10:30, I called to see where they were. Oh, sorry. we can't get there until noon... and oh, by the way, our drive up fee is $149.00! I'm a previous customer! Oh, how about $100.00 and sorry for the mistake. At 12:30, they showed up. The Tech was a nice guy... attached a hose, showed me how to turn the valves up and down and was done in 15 minutes. Then I get a call that my bill was for $395.00!! No advance disclosure. No chance to say no thank you. We finally negotiated a $265.00 number. Just got my invoices... one for $265 and one for $85.00!! Buyers beware. BAIT AND SWITCH!!

First responders! First of all, they are friendly. They are quick to respond and follow through on their communication personally with phone calls and text. Danny delivered service to our plumbing need and was fantastic! He was super skilled, quick and friendly. I will always call SimplyGreen Plumbing first in the future.

The work appears to have been good, and the technicians were nice, professional, and knowledgeable. But the prices are simply outrageous at over $500 per hour. They justify it by citing an industry as a whole that thinks it should charge what high priced lawyers charge. They get away with it because the consumer is trapped. And for those prices, a cleanup would be expected. Instead they left handprints on the walls, footprints in the tub, and course tile dust everywhere including in the tracks of the sliding doors. The least they could do is carry a small vacuum. Finally, while I was not charged extra for it, they had to run to the Home Depot twice. They pull up in a truck the size of a moving van but never seem to have the supplies they need.

I am usually forget to write reviews, but if I have an experience either way, I make sure to.. this has initially been an outstandingly positive experience! I called Simply Green yesterday for a mix of emergency to identify a leak & also already know plumbing issues. My call was immediately answered versus answering machine by other plumbing companies I've called in past. Rosy, who I spoke to, was both incredibly compassionate, as well as, responsive. Not only did she give me accurate information..trying to get me in ASAP that day, she called to find out if I was available as a Rec became available sooner, then called again as I couldn't. Later, in following up, I spoke with Hilary the phone and had the same excellent level of response & follow up. Now to the technician, Dave..again, absolutely awesome. Evaluating issues, being clear about what the issues are, wanting to work with me due to travel & timing constraints to prioritize what could be done & breaking estimates into what I may want to sooner due to urgency versus later. Scheduling & again always following up and checking work is in line with our needs & wants. Absolutely, in 25yrs as a home owner, best plumbing interaction. So, I'm for once taking time to write a review. 5 stars!

I had to add my 2nd review for SimplyGreen because they are really good. My first review was 6 yrs ago, and you'd think they'll change by now, but they are still the same professional team - courteous, always looking after what's best for the customer, honest and on time.
Today, our water heater stopped working and Danny came over and helped us out. Danny assessed the issue, researched the unit's warranty and gave us options with pros and cons. He did all these and put himself into the customers situation, thinking what's best and cost effective. Unlike other companies who will just push you to do one solution and pay up, Danny actually thought of several solutions and presented them in a way that customers will understand so they can make a good decision.
Our house is actually covered under home warranty protection but we never call them for plumbing issues because they will only send 'so-so' plumbers. We always call SimplyGreen. They are the simply the best.

I've been using Simply Green for years! Russell the owner is absolutely amazing. He really listens to what you have to say, especially when you are having an issue.
Had a leak issue and a non working faucet. David came out and immediately he gave you that comfortable feel because he was going to take care of everything. Also, so much more knowledgeable than most. Really personable and gave excellent customer service.
I will definitely be requesting David in the future.

Wow! Amazing service! I can't say enough about Russel and his team. We have been working with them for years, big works smaller works, always great. I am out of the country and my wife had a clogged toilet, she called him after hours and he showed up and fixed it, all with a smile, professionalisms and humor. I highly recommend them.

We had an odor under our 1950's home from the drain pipes rusting through and spilling under the house.

Simply Green plumbing is the best plumbing experience I've ever had.
They showed me pictures of the pipes which required replacement and the team of plumbers replaced all the drains under the house in one day!

The plumbers were kind, professional and stuck to the original quote considering the amount of work they ended up doing. Good cleanup as well.

I highly recommend them and will use them again.

UPDATE: Russell, the owner, called me to address the issues I had with the first visit. He was genuine in wanting feedback from me. He heard me out and understood that the circumstances around my repair were not up to their typical standards. He offered to remedy the situation, and heard my feedback. I do like that they are local in Los Gatos, and will give another chance if I have another issue.

At first I thought this plumbing company was amazing! They were able to get me an appointment the day I called. They seemed professional and friendly. I explained the issue of my tankless Navien water heater and they said it would be $150 to come out and assess the issue and that the $150 would be used toward the repair.

Great, they came on time and had a beautiful truck and seemed to be professional.

Then they start the work, within minutes they say there's nothing wrong with my water heater. Despite me telling them it wasn't able to increase temperature and there was a constant draining occurring.

This is where the professionalism went out the window and the lack of skills was apparent.

I was told that they would need to diagnose the issue, yet there is nothing wrong and the diagnosis would cost $450! Within minutes that price went from $450 down to $200 that was because it included me complaining and calling the office back.

I agreed to pay the $200 , again to be told that nothing was wrong. They explained they did a quick reset of the water heater and showed me how to do it (that was good). However, the constant draining was still happening.

I paid the $200 they increased the temperature setting by resetting the water heater and left.

I was not convinced this was fixed. Lo and behold the very next day the water heater would not allow me to set the temperature again and it was clear to me, a homeowner, not a professional that the draining was not normal.

After spending hours researching and reading how the water heater works. I myself realized that the T&P valve was broken (something a professional plumber should have noticed immediately!)

Simply green is on the list of Navien Installers and it is absolutely apalling that something as basic and visible was missed and ignored. Do NOT use them.
