Don, the owner is awesome. I recommend this man.
He is a pleasure to work with: patient, respectful, not pushy.
He gave us multple options on how to solve our problem. The house needed the work, and we knew it. We just didn't want to feel like we got ripped off.
One thing that is unique. He tells you what time he will arrive, and it is a 30minute window. He is prompt So, you don't have to be tied down for multiple hours waiting for the plumber.

Do not hire this company! I bought and had a Rheem water heater installed in July 2019 and it comes with a 6 year labor and parts warranty. The gas supply valve broke 3 days ago and I contacted them via phone calls and e-mails several times over 48 hours with no response. I had to hire another plumbing service to have the new valve installed. Unacceptable! I spent $487 on a repair which is covered under my purchase agreement.

Where do I begin? We started using this company with our first home. We had them line our pipes as well as install gas for a stove. They did a good job and their price was fair. We then purchased another home and hired them again to do some gas repair work, install a line to our stove, BBQ and fireplace. We would constantly hear ""we are on our way"" and then no show. We had not yet moved into the house, so there was not an immediate rush to complete the work. We left for 3 months over the summer with a commitment from them the work would be completed by our return. NOPE. Not to mention the constant nagging we had to do while we were gone asking if they had completed the work yet? When we returned we had to find another gas company and pay them $6k to get the work redone, since Simply Better Plumbing did a dismal job with what they had completed. Stay away from these guys and use www.optiononeplumbing.com.

Save yourself stress and heartache by NOT hiring this company to do any work for you. We hired them to install a water filtration system and run gas lines into our home. After assurance work was complete, and multiple requests for payment by Tom, we paid them in full. What a terrible mistake on our part. We have multiple leaks in the gas lines throughout the house, to the point brand new cabinets will have to be removed to correct the leak to our cooktop. No one will return a phone call or text message and I regret ever hiring this company to do the work at my new home.

I am going to continue my reviews until Tom Eckert and Don Paz at Simply Better Plumbing fix the problems they caused. I just got my wall repaired after the water damage they caused from incorrectly installing a new water heater that flooded my laundry room.

The water heater is leaking at certain and further, the tank was too large for the space and did not allow proper room for clearance of the copper pipe that carries water to the tank. Regardless of this, they were insistent in installing this specific tank, which is oddly shaped and I am sure was sitting on their hands and they wanted to get rid of it.

The copper pipes carry condensation and where it pushed up next to the tank, the tank has rusted and corroded. On a tank that was installed on Oct 22. We have called and emailed Simply Better Plumbing to honor the warranty on their work, and you would think after all the trouble they have caused that they would be keen on making right their wrongs. Instead we are given the run-around with no one responding and when we give them a call, Tom gives his famous non-answer answers of ""I will let them know."" In the meantime, we are again without hot water as we are waiting for them to come and take a look at the problem.

Please do not work with them. Please, please please, do not work with them. They are not good or honest people.

I had an excellent experience with Simply Better Plumbing and will be using them for all my plumbing needs in the future. First, Louis came out to give a quote. I have had multiple companies out to fix my daughter's shower. Some of them talked about searching for hard to get new hardware and some said we would have to rip out the whole shower wall to fix it. Louis looked at it, determined that it was still in working order, tightened it up and got it working within a few minutes!!! And this was just while he was out for a quote. To think that the other companies would have gladly taken hundreds of dollars and done drastic work that didn't need to be done made it a no-brainer to choose this company.

On the day of the work Louis came and tackled the jobs. There were some complications and he stayed for hours until it was working and everything was fixed the way it should be. His dedication and attention to detail was excellent.

I am glad to have a plumber on call that I know will be fair, honest, and do good work. I highly recommend them.

This company far exceeded my expectations. We had a main water line leak, and I called to ask if they did leak detection. Right off the bat, they saved me money by telling me the leak detection was a waste of money in my case, because it would be more cost effective in the long run to just replace rather than repair (this was confirmed by a plumber friend of ours who didn't have the right equipment to do the repair himself).

Our family friend helped us make an informed decision, by telling us what method would make the best repair, and what materials are best to use. I called Don (the owner) to confirm what method and materials they would be using, and it was what our friend recommended. I told our friend the quoted price, and he said to take it because it was a good deal.

Next, they came out quickly, and on time. They were very careful in their work. They had to dig some of our bushes up to get to the water line, but they cut them out in a perfect square, and when all the work was done, I couldn't even tell the bushes had ever been removed. SBP&D did the work for $1100 that another plumbing company quoted us $3500 for. Not to mention the fact that this other company wanted to rip up our driveway, which SBP&D didn't do, and we would have had to pay to repair, on top of their quoted $3500. All in all, I'm very grateful I found this company. They were pleasant to work with, reasonably priced, and skilled and knowledgeable in their trade. Thank you!!

UPDATE

My husband and I found after a week or so that our leak was still running underground. We had to have the SBP&D team come back for a 2nd repair. It was inconvenient because they had to dig up the yard again and fix the leak a 2nd time, but I was glad they came out and did so. They didn't charge us anything to come back.

Next we had our hot water heater go out. We called the guys to come back again since they had done our other repair. They came the next day and charged us $50 to relight our pilot light, and said that was the only problem. We had been smelling gas in the garage intermittently, but they assured us there was no gas leak. After they left, the gas smell got stronger, so we called SW gas to come check it out. They found a gas leak at the water heater, and said the tube that feeds gas to the pilot light was completely disconnected, and was a serious safety hazard. They were very surprised the plumber missed this. I called to let them know what they had missed, and they told me I must be mistaken. The owner said he would refund my $50, which they haven't yet done. (This was Weds, we paid with a debit card, and Monday he said the check is in the mail..) We had to have a new water heater installed, for which we used a different plumber. I wouldn't use these guys because it seems they can't get things right the first time. And when I called back with issues concerning their repairs, they were less than receptive.
