karen s.We always have exceptional service with Silverado. From the scheduler to the service technicians - everyone has great customer service. A lot of the time they can send us someone out on the same day. For example, today we called and within an hour they were able to send Tom to help us. He was efficient, professional and even gave us some tips on how to proactively prevent clogging. Thanks, Tom!
Ellen P.We have an old house with old plumbing. After several tries with other companies, we found Silverado and haven't looked back. Silverado has repiped half our home, replaced our water heater, replaced a sink, and has rootered and videoed our problematic sewer lines.
Unlike experiences we had with other companies, their prices and recommendations are sensible and logical, and do not appear to be driven by commission. I sincerely hope that their recent ownership change does not mean a change to this practice, because we are so happy to finally have found ""our plumber"".
All of the plumbers who have been to our home have been polite, friendly, and helpful. In particular, we are grateful for the courtesy, problem-solving ability, and diligence of Tim and Jack, who are superb.
Hoss Q.Water Heater sprung a leak while we were out of town -- neighbour noticed water coming out from under the garage and shut off our main. Flew home at midnight on a Saturday and based on water in the drip tray it appeared obvious that the water heater had been the source, So I shut off it's intake and turned the main back on so we could at least take cold showers -- but after that we noticed some new water in the garage and shut the main off again.
Sunday morning I left a message with Silverado based on a recommendation. Aaron called me back in under 20 minutes, discussed the symptoms with me, explained their service rates including the totally reasonable extra charge for Sunday service -- was at my house in less then 30 minutes. He confirmed that the (very old) water heater had sprung a leak, and that the ""new water"" we'd seen even after we shut the intake valve had been back pressure from the output line when we were taking cold showers.
In under an hour he tested the unit & intake/output lines for leaks, cleaned up pooled water in the drip tray, & put in a bypass line so we could use cold water w/o any more leaks. He gave us a competitive quote (I checked later) on a comparable new replacement heater, and said he would like to have been able to install that day but he didn't have one that size in stock, and his supplier was closed on Sunday -- I'd needed to leave a message with his office to schedule having someone install it on Monday.
Monday morning I called 10 minutes after their office was open to make sure they got my message and see if they were going to be able to schedule me for that day -- they had already confirmed the unit quoted was available for pick up at their supplier and wanted to know if I was ready to have Aaron come out in the next 30-60 minutes for install.
He was done by lunch, for the exact price quoted -- no BS about it taking longer then expected so there was additional labor charge or anything like that.
The smoothest possible experience I can imagine given the situation.
Eric G.I've used Silverado twice now. The first was to repair the valve & line feeding water to my home. Turned out to be old, soft copper so the job was bigger than expected, but the tech returned on the following day with additional materials and ended up splicing in new line much further down than expected. A good thing! The only issue was that he neglected to flush the line after the work, so a chunk of solder made it's way to my shower valve, rendering it useless until I swapped in a new valve there. No big deal, we all make mistake. And in the grand scheme of things, this was relatively minor.
The second, more recent visit, was to replace my 12-year old water heater. Replacement was smooth and done at a good cost (I think it was $750 all said and done to replace a 60-gallon electric water heater). Job was done promptly and efficiently by Jack Manning. Thanks much for the replacement. Will certainly call them again if any future plumbing issues crop up.
I've never felt compelled to write a review before, but I am disappointed enough with Silverado Plumbing that I felt a comment is warranted. I contacted them to make some repairs that were noted on a report when I was selling my house. I explained to them exactly what was found and what I needed done. When their technician got to my house he looked at the inside repairs that needed to be done and quoted me an exact price of ""$225.00 installed, parts and labor."" I authorized this repair. I also had a valve that needed to be replaced on the main water line going into the house, and they were told about that before sending their technician. When he got there he looked at it and said he didn't have that part on the truck. I said okay, please go get it. He said he didn't have time and would have to come back another day. Who doesn't carry the part that they have been told they need to do the job?? Well, he did return the next week and completed the repairs. However, when I got the invoice, the ""$225.00 installed parts and labor"" was now $257.00. Also, there was a $10.50 truck charge on the invoice that I was not told about. I live in Vail and was told there is a $45.00 charge to go to Vail, which I accepted. When scheduling the appointment I asked if there were any other surcharges and was told no. So, I will pay the invoice, but I will NEVER call this company for services in the future.
Our business uses Silverado frequently and we are always pleased with the response time and results provided by their techs. Jack helped us out with our most recent request, and him and his partner were very kind and courteous. Same day response and service is available and they are excellent to work with.
Robert P.We are very happy with Silverado, in particular, Rodney Wills, the plumbing technician - he is the best! Very knowledgable and cares about taking care of the issue, goes above and beyond every time. He is the reason we only call Silverado.
Subsequent to the review written on 3/2, Rodney came back on his own time 3/10 and for a nominal charge, he, patched and plastered all ten holes. I can't say enough about his customer service and sense of responsibility. He really deserves the full bonus that a favorable Yelp (second one now) review merits(no skimping!).I called again 3/12 when I had not received a call back from Matt and through no fault of his, he had not received the voice message but was aware of the Yelp review. He called me back that day and apologized and made amends that were equitable and satisfactory. In the meantime, we had another inconvenient plumbing mess and called again for service to clean out a toilet drain. Chris arrived and quickly and efficiently resolved the problem! We will have them replace our water heater in the future when we have the money! Plumbing bills can really drain one's resources!
Shawnesha W.The technician, Tom, who showed up at our residence, was very professional and provided exceptional service. A plumbing issue that I was informed would take a couple hours, he completed within an hour. Thanks!
Hyla W.Our outside faucet was dripping and soldered on, so we couldn't repair it ourselves. I called on Monday morning and Tom Shaw was out the same day and got it fixed! He was nice, professional, and efficient. I would gladly recommend Silverado Plumbing!
