Already twice I requested Silver Plumbing Service to come to my elderly mother's mobile home in Ojai to help with plumbing problems, and both times the crews did an excellent job. The first time was to replace the water heater, and the second time was to unclog the kitchen drain. I was impressed both times with the degree of professionalism and expertise applied. The efficiency and skill levels were very apparent in how well they got the jobs done. For the first job of replacing the water heater, I was put in contact with Scott Silver. Instead of him immediately trying to sell me a new water heater, Scott took the time to explain to me over the phone how to measure/test the thermocouple (since I have an electronics background myself). After testing, he and I both agreed that it made no sense to install a new thermostat on such an old water heater so I had his crew install a new one that they recommended. I was happy to talk with such a plumbing service, that would at least try at first to help me get the old unit working which demonstrated to me their integrity, honesty, and sincere desire to help. I was therefore very satisfied that installing a new water heater was the best decision.
For the second job of just recently unclogging my mother's kitchen drain pipe, their worker did a fine job of assessing the situation and utilizing the proper tools to effectively solve the problem. He also took the time to answer my questions for a plumbing situation at another site. Again I was impressed how he took the time to get the job done right. Being in a technical field myself, I can understand that these crews work hard and are on 24 hour call to do just that which shows their dedication to their career.
In conclusion, the applied dedication, integrity, and skill of Silver Plumbing Service would definitely make me want to call them again for future plumbing problems.

Worst Plumbers ever! Go to Plumbing 101 School first.
Business owners beware, they will rip you off!
1st plumber came over, could not figure out anything. 2nd plumber Chris had no clue either. Brought over a part that cost me $1100 and I paid it. Called him back next day since I had the same problem he said he would order a new part and charge me another fee.
Finally called another company Donlon Plumbing and they diagnosed it within 5 minutes. Flushed tank and fixed issue for less then $150..
Silver Plumbing Scott ands crew. What a joke!! total Scammer. Do not trust them! They would push you off a cliff to save there own lives.

My water heater was leaking. I called Silver Plumbing. They came out within an hour to access the water heater and came back the same day to install a new one. I was so impressed with them and will continue to use them in the future.

I called for help with an outside plumbing leak. The workman showed up 3 hours later than agreed to on the phone. He did not do the repair, only took pics to send to home office for estimate. The home office called five hours later with an absolutely astoundingly high price (Plus Parts!). I declined & fixed it myself next morning in two hours. I discussed this with the local plumbing supply store & they acknowledged that Silver is well known for outrageous prices. They said it appears most people do not know how much things cost.

Asked them to come over and do a simple snake job, but when they came, they said they didn't have the right equipment. The two guys who came got the owner on the phone who claims that he asked me information about the pipe width in setting up the job, although this is not true. He got frustrated, and the guys left. It's too bad because the job was super simple, and it couldn't be done.

Knowledgeable , reliable and professional. I highly recommend for all plumbing problems from leaking faucets to septic system problems.

My AC compressor broke on a day when temps hit 108° and it was a Saturday, no less. I thought for sure I was screwed. I had used Silver Plumbing just a week earlier to replace my tankless hot water heater but had no idea they worked on AC units, so I put an ""emergency call"" into another local HVAC company who, to this day, has not returned my call. After a few hours of sitting in the heat, and still no call back, I tried Silver --because hope springs eternal, right? I got an answer right away. ""Do you service air conditioners?"" I asked. ""Yes!"" was the answer. I could not believe my luck! Scott was out in the field on another call but was at my house within the next hour, and fixed it. I am happily sitting in my comfortable air-conditioned home right now. I cannot recommend these guys enough; I am so happy they are right here in Ojai.

I got to know a few of the workers at Silver because they have a contract with Lowe's and they installed a few appliance's that I had bought at Lowe's. If I had a plumbing issue I would call them and sure enough they would come out and fix the problem. I thought the cost of services were pretty reasonable until recently. I had Silver come out for a toilet leak and another leak in my kitchen and I thought it might be the dishwasher. Anyways, a plumber came out and fixed the toilet leak and agreed that it was the dishwasher that was leaking. So I called an appliance repair shop and they looked at the dishwasher and said it was not coming from the dishwasher. So I called Silver again and the plumber came out and agreed it was coming from the kitchen sink plumbing. He punched 2 holes in the drywall and found the pipe that was leaking. He then came back the next day and was here for maybe an hour. I was given a flat rate for the repair and I paid it. However, I was stuck with the holes and have been trying to find out if this holes should have been repaired by the plumber. I have tried a few times to get a reply from Silver and have not received a call back. I clearly feel this should be part of the repair. I mean if someone needed to get to the pipes in the front yard and they dug a hole wouldn't they refill the hole? I'm really disappointed in Silver and their response to my question about the holes in my drywall. I will not be calling them in the future.

This company charged me more for the diagnosis of the problem than it was to repair the problem. I would never use this plumber again.

I had a recurring problem with my tankless water heater; it refused to provide hot water to the bathtub, unless the faucet was adjusted to minimum flow. Then, this weekend, it decided to totally go on strike; no hot water anywhere! After calling several local plumbers who were not immediately available, one of them recommended that I call Silver. I followed up on this, and got a reply that they could have someone there this afternoon. They were true to their word, two guys showed up around 4:00 PM. After a brief review of the situation, Moy, the lead man was of the opinion that the unit was starved for gas. He recommended that the gas line be replaced with a larger size; he also identified an immediate fix to improve gas flow by removing the internals from a check valve in the gas line. Upon reassembly, the heater was working perfectly, hot water all around, even in the bathtub! A fine piece of work for which I am very grateful.
