I had a recurring problem with my tankless water heater; it refused to provide hot water to the bathtub, unless the faucet was adjusted to minimum flow. Then, this weekend, it decided to totally go on strike; no hot water anywhere! After calling several local plumbers who were not immediately available, one of them recommended that I call Silver. I followed up on this, and got a reply that they could have someone there this afternoon. They were true to their word, two guys showed up around 4:00 PM. After a brief review of the situation, Moy, the lead man was of the opinion that the unit was starved for gas. He recommended that the gas line be replaced with a larger size; he also identified an immediate fix to improve gas flow by removing the internals from a check valve in the gas line. Upon reassembly, the heater was working perfectly, hot water all around, even in the bathtub! A fine piece of work for which I am very grateful.

Over the past couple of years, Silver Plumbing Service has serviced our tankless Navien water heater/floor heater with excellent results. The first time we called Scott was for a recurring leak that another plumber failed to fix. Silver Plumbing took care of it quickly and effectively. Scott was able to diagnose our most recent problem over the phone based on the error code and what was going on. Chris did a great job with recent maintenance and repair. Bottom line, they know what they're doing and get it right the first time; that's cost effective.

Scott, who I think is the Owner was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. I placed a call in for service on a clogged shower drain that I had spent many hours on trying to free the clog. Scott personally called me, and after describing the clogged symptoms, the type of house I'm in, and the things I did in an attempt to resolve the problem, Scott explained to me exactly what I should do, and it worked! He saved me a few hundred dollars but what is to note is Scott's knowledge and the time who took to help someone out. I would absolutely recommend.

Biggest jerk I ever met. Said my California Faucets were junk. I ordered the parts FOR HIM, He charged me $250 to put them in, less than one hour of work. I even was nice enough to turn the water on and off for him at the street. He was late and didn't have all the tools he needed for the job. Can get the job done if you're willing to put up with his attitude and pay his price.

I manage a family complex in Ojai. I used to have another plumbing service that I would use, but they were awful. I had to find a new vendor and I decided to give Silver a try. Best decision ever. I've already used them a few times and they are always great. They return calls same day, they are professional, friendly, very helpful and will keep working until they solve the problem. We had a couple of emergencies and they arrived within an hour, worked all day to fix the problem and kept me informed of every step. They even showed me what was wrong and what they were doing and what to look for in case something goes wrong in the future. They educate you about your plumbing so you are more informed. Definitely recommend.

We've had Scott and his crew (Chris, Jason) put in a new water heater and also fix some under-the-sink piping that another plumbing company had put in wrong, causing a messy water leak. In both cases, Silver answered our phone call immediately, we were scheduled for the same day, and the work was done perfectly.

I called Silver today because our garbage disposal unit stopped working. Instead of sending out a repairman and charging us, Scott walked me through a simple procedure to ""unstick"" the blades. It worked perfectly. In my experience as a homeowner, this was a unique, generous service.

Scott came the same day I called, confirmed that the two plumbers that came before him did not know what they were doing, and charged me too much money along the way. Scott fixed a problem we had been having for over a year with hot water supply, repaired our tankless water heater, and also pointed out that we needed a larger meter from the gas company (which will be done at no cost). I can't tell you how many ""professionals"" have looked at my situation, and not come up with a solution, and it was easy for Scott. And I was charged a reasonable rate. I really appreciate finding honest professionals, that know what they are doing, and do a great job for you.

Buyer Beware. Silver does not charge by the hour plus call out fee...at least for us They recently replaced a toilet flange for us and set the new toilet. 3 hours work including a trip back to the shop and charged $800. Upon researching this it's nearly double the going rate.

I called Silver Plumbing this morning because I had a plugged drain. I was given a time to expect the plumber's arrival and sure enough, he arrived right on time. Silver does all kinds of jobs, from very large to small, so I was surprised that the owner (Scott) showed up. Scott explained my options in a no-nonsense way, completed the job, no mess, no fuss, and at a very reasonable cost. I had forgotten that I had used Silver plumbing once before, but I will not forget the next time I need a plumber. Thanks Scott!
