Rip off, John and Trevor serviced my AC condensing unit and found the capacitor bad. Replaced it, $15.00 part and charged me $276.
It took them longer to write the invoice than the job it self, 15 minutes.
My mistake for agreeing to the cost!
7 years ago Service Today installed that same unit for $5000 and did a great job!
Never again will I use Service Today!!

We had excellent service today. We showed up to our condo and our air conditioning was completely broken. It got up to 80 degrees. Within 30 minutes of our call Jon, our technician, showed up at the door. He was such a gentleman using ""sir"" and ""ma'am."" Not only was he easy to talk to, but he got the job done within 20minutes, and stayed to make sure it was working properly. It turns out we had a snapped wire, which he replaced right away. He even explained to my elderly father how to use the system. I highly suggest calling Service Today. Their motto ""We make it right...right now"" is 100% accurate. Thank you, Jon.

Maintenance contract for ten years yet I have never received a service statement after asking every Fall and Spring. Service Today visited the unit on a cool day and did not complete the job. After weeks, contacted them and the CR would not allow herself to admit that the work was not done nor rescheduled. All she wanted to do was blame it on the weather and to spin the service. They said they would return. Tenant did not get a phone call until shown up. They called me first to say they were on their way. They were to contact tenant. He advised to schedule again. Two weeks go by and tenant says they never rescheduled. Had to make another phone call to find out why. Once again, the spin occurred. You are just a number.

This was my first time using Service Today. The prior owners had used them for the HVAC and also hot water tank at our rental condominium, so we decided to give them a try. I was not disappointed. The service technician, Dave B. Called on his way to the unit and showed up ON TIME. That is virtually unheard of here in coastal Delaware. Contractors/service providers either show up hours late or not at all. Dave pointed out issues with our air conditioning system and made some honest recommendations based on the age of the condenser unit. He was really easy to talk to and took care to be respectful of the property. Since this is a rental property for us, we will definately be using them again for our HVAC and plumbing services.

I used to like them, but when I had my unit replaced it was advertised at zero percent unless I was financing it through them , then it would be an additional $500. I gave them the extra $500 because I needed the unit , they financed it through Wells Fargo even though Well Fargo's is under investigation for fraud & ID theft , when I called to ask what are they going to do to monitor my credit I was never answered. My new unit has needed several repairs & when I faxed a letter or called them I get no response back. I could never recommend them. Very very unhappy I was supposed to get all new duct work with my new unit ,it was installed wrong and I don't even know if the whole thing was replaced which is what I paid for.

Pro:
I had an AC problem and called them for assistance. They sent out a technician an hour or so after my original call, he came in and fixed my problem pretty quickly. He was nice, courteous and professional.

Con: The pricing. After looking further into the problem the tech fixed, he replaced a part that cost about 20-30 in about 10 minutes for $250 including the $89 diagnosis fee. Which too me seems like quite a lot.

So as far as just the service I'm giving it a 4 star.

Avoid these guys like the plague. I call them up, asking if they have a part in stock that is needed to repair my AC unit. They straight up refuse to answer the question, multiple times. They want me to pay $200 for them to send someone out to my house just to get an answer as to whether the tech has the part needed to repair my unit in stock.

That's like calling Best Buy, asking if they have the iPad Pro in stock and them demanding $200 for the answer to the question. An unconscionable way to do business. Avoid, avoid, avoid.

Company came out to repair my hot water heater. They were able to get it working but the repair lasted a little more than one day. When I called them to come check on it they wanted to charge me again. Not at all professional and do not stand behind their work. Do yourself a favor an use someone else. Wish I would gave done a little more research before selecting them. Unfortunately I didn't take the time to read their other reviews. Would have saved me a costly repair that needed to be fix by someone else.

I purschased my home in 2013. My unit was brand new installed by service today in 2008. No one lived in my home after that it was simply maintained until we moved in. In 2013 my fan motor had to be replaced 780$ out of pocket. Bc warranty was up in 5 years. In 2014 freon leak had to be repaired 950$ out of pocket. 2015 compressor went up at least 1100$ and 2 months running emergency heat over 500$ a month electric bill hmmm. Funny system should never have this many issues with minimal use and being so young. I've had 5 companies look and all walk away bc it needs to be gutted the Install is so sloppy and many imperfections. Sad bc I refuse to use them again. The manager John stafford has terrible customer service doesn't return calls nor offer to assist the customer also after speaking with trane they are not a recommended installer of trane equipment. Sad bc so much money was spent and could of been saved.
