Very disappointing service. I have a service contract and at my spring service appointment on June 5 the tech said I need a new capacitor. Service Today replaced the capacitor in my unit on May 15, 2023. That means the capacitor they put in lasted just a few days past my one year warranty. I called Service Today to express my displeasure and after I spoke to a manager they offered a discount to replace the capacitor. I told them it was unacceptable and the manager said ""Brian"" would call me back. He didn't. I called a few days later and Gail told me she'd send him a message. No call received. I've called Gail back 4 times since and have been told she's either in a meeting or out of the office. This issue has been going on since June 5 with no resolution. Very disappointing and frustrating. I don't recommend them.
HVAC was not working.
was quoted a price for a tech to come out which i agreed, when he arrived and did his diagnosis he then quoted another price and demanded payment over the phone immediately. i was told i could pay online or send a check thru the mail when i got the invoice.
called the next day to discuss what had happened and the staff was condescending. not rude but very patronizing. asked if we could call the tech but she refused and said she could email him but that could take a day or two for him to respond. a phone call may interrupt his concentration on the job at hand...............give me a break.

I have used them for 20 years and WERE great.
Paid them to come out and do plan/ estimate for HVAC. Then 4 weeks later ... when other tech came out to do the plan ... he said the first guy left no notes and that his plan is wrong and wont do the work.
When I call Service today they refuse to refund for the cost of getting a plan that their rep today says doesn't exist and will not work.
If you have electrical issues, DO NOT CALL SERVICE TODAY!!!! My issue was misdiagnosed by the first tech. He was nice and seemed to be a good person but he is young an inexperienced. After spending $689
I still had the same issue. He called in a more experienced tech and he found the problem within 1/2 hour. He fixed it for another $750. I tried to dispute the first bill to no avail. I was also left without electricity and water from Thursday till the following Tuesday over memorial day weekend after being promised it would be fixed on saturday.
After the system was fixed, I had to spend another $300 on boiler repairs, replace an air conditioner, 2 ceiling fans, coffee pot, tv, oven and every light bulb in the house among other things
I will not mention the name of the first tech or the lady in the office but the 2nd tech, Brian was on point. Top notch guy.

Christa V.I called in LATE on a FRIDAY afternoon. APRIL enthusiastically answered, FIRST ring, & I explained the awful noise from my sump pump. She got me on the next day's schedule. Saturday! I gave her the specs of the unit & she calmly took notes for the technician. Jimmy texted on his way, arrived timely & had all the necessary parts stocked in the truck! He completed the changeout in record time & accepted credit card payment. The entire process couldn't have went any smoother! The new Zoeller unit runs so quiet, I don't hear it at all in the house. After seeing the shooting plume of water, I informed Craig the SM & his followup exceeded my expectations. Great team to work with; excellent service, fair price! Ten Stars!

Michelle M.Long-time customer with an annual service contract. Was advised that I needed a UV air scrubber, was given estimate and scheduled it. They scheduled the wrong date, never told me I'd have to pay that day. Before they got too big for their britches, they would send an invoice, by mail or email. And then I paid it. Customer service should tell people that payment is due immediately. When I called, I was told that the billing system doesn't allow for invoices. I'll be looking for a new contractor in the future, strictly because of poor business practices. Used to be employee owned, with pride.
Maggie B.RIP OFF. UNREASONABLE PRICING. TAKES ADVANTAGE OF PEOPLE IN A HARD SPOT. Employee was nice enough, but not only raped me in price, but still tried selling me a 15K new system. Never will use them again. Never will recommend. Appearance of a reputable company, but their agenda is ripping people off.
Overpriced! It pays to get more than one estimate. Buyer beware especially the elderly.
We had our water pipes (original to our 1953 home) replaced from the city meter to the house and throughout the house. Jack and his team did an excellent job at a fair price. This was a full two-day project and attention was paid to every detail. We appreciate all of the effort that was put into this tough job and would highly recommend Service Today. This is not the first time we have used this company, and it will definitely not be our last.
