This company will intentionally find problems that are not present and not complete a full diagnostic work up.
In early October our ac stopped cooling. Air was blowing just not cool. Called American home shield our warranty and they sent out this AC company. They were very quick in that regard.
They diagnosed the problem as a leak in the attics cooling coils and said it was going to need 5 pounds of coolant plus new coils.
This took 5 days for them to talk to the warranty. Meanwhile it's high 80s to low 90s with 80% plus humidity. And when they got back to us they said the unit needed to "be made up to code" prior to replacing the coils.
We got a second opinion outside of the warranty. Full diagnostic study done. He found NONE of those issues found by service one air. The float switch was turned off because of build up within the pipe. In ADDITION this unit is completely up to code per guidelines set after 2002 since it was last upgrade in 2010ish.
He replaced the pipe and the unit has been working without issues now for about a month.
DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY.

American Home Shield designated air coil repair service to Service One Air. Parts were covered by warranty and the insurance claim was denied due to code violation. In effort to reduce my total costs, I signed up for the annual membership. They only offered me 5% discount when the membership actually comes with 10% discount for repair. I was told that they would reimburse me for the over charge but they never did. Very unethical business conduct. I ended up spending 3600 for the coil repair labor alone. I would not recommend this business to any of my friends or family.

Update 9/26/23 The coils froze over again, huge thick ice covering outside coil. Lead Tech scheduled for Thursday 9/28/23
I'll update how it goes.

You have to appreciate the integrity of a company when one of their AC techs says I need a repair and my warranty company,American home shield, says my out-of-pocket portion will be $3800 and then I ask the ladies in the office if they can send another tech out (same company) for a second opinion and they were happy to do that.
The 2nd tech found, by asking me questions, that I had replaced my filter prior to the 1st tech arriving but that it had been dirty on the day the AC failed when it was 108° outside. My thermostat was set at 74° on the day the AC failed. Probably needed to be at 78 to handle the 108 day.
As a result of the filter change and the office staff willingness to send a 2nd tech out to be ABSOLUTELY certain on whether I needed to spend $3800, I do not need a new evaporator coil. I need to change my filter more often. (I normally change it once a month on a 1300 square-foot home and one indoor dog with short fur and 2 indoor cats) and keep my thermostat set higher when it's triple digits outside.
Thank you for your willingness to send another tech out for a 2nd opinion! Unfortunately, it took three days of keeping the AC off, then turning it back on again, then turn it back off again to unfreeze the ice off the coils inside and outside.
Thank you Ian! He is super prompt and knows his stuff; he listened to me describe the situation and asked good questions.

I have home warranty with American Home Shield. I called AHS at 10:07, got scheduled for service by 10:50, technician (Marco) arrived at 12:05 and I had cold air at 12:20!! Amazing!!

Beware of doing business with this company. They were sent out by AHS to diagnose the problem with my AC. I was told that I had a clog in the condensate line and that the technician cleared it. I was also told that I had a leaking evaporator coil and was low on refrigerant. I decided to get a second opinion and am I glad I did. It turns out, the tech didn't unclog the line as he had told me he did and instead bypassed the safety float switch with a stick. I also had my evaporator coil and condenser checked for leaks and none were found. I called to speak to a manager at this company and he was condescending and seemed aggravated that I was even bringing this matter to his attention. I provided him with photos supporting the still clogged line and pressure levels to support no leak. No response, never an apology, just bad business. TDLR complaint will be filed.

Had Service one air come out to diagnose my AC troubles. Started out great, the tech knew the issue and started to pull out my blower motor. In the process he stepped through the ceiling creating the hole you see in the picture. After making sure the technician was ok he continued to try to fix my ac problem. The technician had to take my ac blower to try and find a part for it. Hours later he returned saying the warranty company denied the claim and it would cost $1000 to repair the issue. At that time the technician told me that the company would take care of the damaged ceiling and i trusted that to be the case. He did mention that since this was through a warranty company Service One Air Conditioning was losing money on this and that he couldn't do anything else. Before the technician left he gave me the number for the manager to contact about fixing the hole in my ceiling. I called and was told that it was my fault that he fell through the ceiling. They are refusing to repair the hole, stating that I had an unsafe working environment in my attic. This company is apparently very unethical and refuses to fix an issue they created and already agreed to fix. Would not recommend

I am not sure who to speak with about an incident I witnessed yesterday morning with one of your workers, but I think they need to learn some common decency especially if they are going to act horribly in a company vehicle. I went for my morning breakfast in the drive through at Whataburger yesterday morning on my way to work. A company vehicle was in front of me. My window was rolled down and I could see the gentleman in front of my flailing his arms about and cussing at the window, before speeding off. Come to find out, he had only been asked to move up. I don't know why this was such a problem, but I didn't think it was appropriate, and I thought it was very unprofessional that your workers would act like that. I didn't see the man's face, but I don't think this is the type of person you want representing your company. Due to his behavior, I will never use your service in my home. This was beyond rude and I can only imagine how this man treats your customers.

Not sure why they have a low rating on Yelp. I guess some people get really grumpy in the heat!
I was assigned Service One through AHS. They called within one hour of when I made my request with AHS to make an appointment. Although they were not able to come out immediately, they did put me on their cancelation list. Jordan S., a highly skilled tech, showed up on time and was very professional. He fixed the outdoor AC unit and noted that it needed Freon. Although I wasn't happy with the cost of the Freon, neither Service One nor Jordan set the price of R22. The market and lack of supply do!
If I have to request service again through AHS I will specifically request Service One. When Service One calls for an appointment I will specifically request Jordan. If (heaven forbid) I have to replace the system, Service One will be doing the work.
**PS Check out my other reviews, I speak the truth in them. I am not a full time 5 star reviewer!

Outstanding. Simply excellent. I've used multiple AC companies and this company is hands down the best. They have solved my issues a few times. Big and small problems when others have failed. Affordable, fast, and professional. They have replaced a compressor, serviced a malfunctioning capacitor, and rejuvenated a poor functioning AC.

Losing A/C is rough for anyone and always seems to happen at the worst time, but I had a dog in my house who was struggling and wasn't welcome elsewhere, so I was scared about having to wait the 6-7 days other companies quoted me. I saw a Service 1 van down the street and ran down there. When I couldn't tell which condo the technician was in, I called the number on the van, and Mandy agreed to tweak the technician's schedule to fit me in before he left the area. When the technician, Doug, found out about that, he was gracious and happy to help, fixed the problem within 30 minutes, and saved the day. I really appreciate the willingness to fit me in because it made sense while the tech was in the area, but I'm not sure other companies would have done that. Amazing customer service for which my heat-intolerant dog and I thank you!
