Had Service one air come out to diagnose my AC troubles. Started out great, the tech knew the issue and started to pull out my blower motor. In the process he stepped through the ceiling creating the hole you see in the picture. After making sure the technician was ok he continued to try to fix my ac problem. The technician had to take my ac blower to try and find a part for it. Hours later he returned saying the warranty company denied the claim and it would cost $1000 to repair the issue. At that time the technician told me that the company would take care of the damaged ceiling and i trusted that to be the case. He did mention that since this was through a warranty company Service One Air Conditioning was losing money on this and that he couldn't do anything else. Before the technician left he gave me the number for the manager to contact about fixing the hole in my ceiling. I called and was told that it was my fault that he fell through the ceiling. They are refusing to repair the hole, stating that I had an unsafe working environment in my attic. This company is apparently very unethical and refuses to fix an issue they created and already agreed to fix. Would not recommend

I am not sure who to speak with about an incident I witnessed yesterday morning with one of your workers, but I think they need to learn some common decency especially if they are going to act horribly in a company vehicle. I went for my morning breakfast in the drive through at Whataburger yesterday morning on my way to work. A company vehicle was in front of me. My window was rolled down and I could see the gentleman in front of my flailing his arms about and cussing at the window, before speeding off. Come to find out, he had only been asked to move up. I don't know why this was such a problem, but I didn't think it was appropriate, and I thought it was very unprofessional that your workers would act like that. I didn't see the man's face, but I don't think this is the type of person you want representing your company. Due to his behavior, I will never use your service in my home. This was beyond rude and I can only imagine how this man treats your customers.

Not sure why they have a low rating on Yelp. I guess some people get really grumpy in the heat!

I was assigned Service One through AHS. They called within one hour of when I made my request with AHS to make an appointment. Although they were not able to come out immediately, they did put me on their cancelation list. Jordan S., a highly skilled tech, showed up on time and was very professional. He fixed the outdoor AC unit and noted that it needed Freon. Although I wasn't happy with the cost of the Freon, neither Service One nor Jordan set the price of R22. The market and lack of supply do!

If I have to request service again through AHS I will specifically request Service One. When Service One calls for an appointment I will specifically request Jordan. If (heaven forbid) I have to replace the system, Service One will be doing the work.

Outstanding. Simply excellent. I've used multiple AC companies and this company is hands down the best. They have solved my issues a few times. Big and small problems when others have failed. Affordable, fast, and professional. They have replaced a compressor, serviced a malfunctioning capacitor, and rejuvenated a poor functioning AC.

Losing A/C is rough for anyone and always seems to happen at the worst time, but I had a dog in my house who was struggling and wasn't welcome elsewhere, so I was scared about having to wait the 6-7 days other companies quoted me. I saw a Service 1 van down the street and ran down there. When I couldn't tell which condo the technician was in, I called the number on the van, and Mandy agreed to tweak the technician's schedule to fit me in before he left the area. When the technician, Doug, found out about that, he was gracious and happy to help, fixed the problem within 30 minutes, and saved the day. I really appreciate the willingness to fit me in because it made sense while the tech was in the area, but I'm not sure other companies would have done that. Amazing customer service for which my heat-intolerant dog and I thank you!

Our AC has been out for two days in 100 degree weather so we called to make an appointment, and the earliest appointment they had was 4 days out (completely understandable it's summer they are probably busy). They gave me the appointment window time of 9am-11am well that came and went so I called to check up on the delay. The lady on the phone was super nice and said he was close by and should be finishing up his appointment and on to me next. Well an hour went by with nothing so I called again and got no time frame, another hour went by and the same thing, it has now been over 4 hours since our appointment window time and no one can tell me anything. I'm a prisoner in my own home waiting on this dude! I had to call into work because of them. Unacceptable.

Worst company to deal with. Could not get someone to call me back after being reassured 4 times someone would call me that day to book an appt. Then I finally book an appt after hounding them. They show up over an hour an a half late. At least could give a heads up that they would not be there in the time frame given. Proceed to "fix" the unit and leave. Thirty minutes later it stops working and when I call back to have them come back...M says she is calling me right back she just needs to get ahold of the technician. Never receive the call back bc M went to lunch and decided not to follow up with me to let me know what was going on. Finally I get to a manager and no one can come back today they can only see the following day. Total joke of a company. Worst customer service. I tried canceling my appt with them in the first place after seeing all the reviews but American home shield would not cancel it! Never use them!!

After reading these past Yelp reviews, I am hoping others are more wise than I was and read these before dealing with this company. Even via warranty referral, BEWARE!

Edith with Service One came to my home on 4.21 due to a HVAC not cooling. In less than 10 minutes, so apparently performed a leak test and found a Freon leak. Her only recommendation was to replace the evaporator coil or get a whole new system. She was fast, and delegated all questions to my warranty company.

Since having warranty, Edith advised that it only covers some items and ~$1,300 would be out of pocket as the item per Service One/Edith's findings was "out of code". She referred to my warranty contract when advising out of code. After almost a week of screaming for someone to tell me what this means, my warranty company finally replied and acknowledged their contract limits repairs on out of code items for what is covered.

Understanding the possible warranty limitations around Edith's "findings", I had another company (the original company who installed the new HVAC in 2017) to come out and look. They didn't find a Freon leak due to a broken evaporator coil at all, Edith was wrong. Furthermore, they concluded she could not have performed a leak test NOR could she have filled up the Freon tank. When they performed the leak detection test, I heard the sound of a machine I have never heard before. I asked them, "would Edith have had to use a similar system to find a leak?"... they replied generally stating, even if I heard it or not, there was no way there was a "major freon leak" at the coils due to lacking of leak/evidence. Meaning, she didn't find a leak at all, even though Edith repeated "you have a major Freon leak" over and over again, upselling the issue.

The new contractor that I paid for out of pocket was appalled when reading Edith's Service One estimate. They claimed almost all items on her "list of repairs" needed in addition to the evaporator coil were all already installed and in code. They confirmed, Edith's misdiagnosis was trumped by her bogus parts and repair items that had nothing to do with the true repair or anything missing/being out of code. This new company was so shocked they took a photo of the estimate and with my request will escalate this formally, as Edith nor Service One should ever be allowed to lie to people in efforts to gain profit. After seeing how long even just filling up the Freon and checking to find the actual issue took, I know Edith didn't do any of the things she said she did that day. Shameful.

In summation, I have filed a corresponding BBB complaint, a complaint with the Texas Attorney General regarding Service One and AHS warranty. And other various channels. Everyone should be aware of the practices of this company and especially Edith. If she tried to swindle me, if she misdiagnosed me, I know she has to other harmless families in North Texas.

I expect Service One to respond wholly to all complaints and concerns and acknowledge their lies. Curious as to what excuse or justification will be made - your internet was "out of service" the last time AHS and I tried calling.... Convenient. Looking forward to sharing proof of all of this including photos to all parties helping resolve my complaints. Funny, Edith never took photos when she was here, coincidence? She never explained why she was charging me for parts not related to the supposed fix needed coincidence? This new company documented everything they did, because they have integrity. Edith should be investigated, as it's probable she has misdiagnosed and lied to others.

AHS should also highly consider researching other Service One specific jobs, how many other clients got lied to and ripped off by Edith or other employees? Companies with lacking integrity like this give companies who actually are honest and want to help people a bad name.

Service One was selected for us by American Home Shield to repair a problem with the downstairs A/C unit not working. Only had to pay the service call fee to AHS and they came out and fixed the issue and the A/C worked for a few weeks. and things looked okay. This was in June. Then in late July the downstairs A/C stopped working again. Once again AHS selected Service One as the repair contractor. They came out and said they "fixed" the problem. That night while watching TV I started hearing a plopping sound from the area around the stairs. It got worse and when I finally checked it out I discovered a steady stream of water coming down from the ceiling on the stairs.

After turning off the A/C the water stopped. Once again AHS was called and once again they sent Service One. This time said my A/C was frozen and they can't do anything until it thaws out. This led of course to more water flowing down from the ceiling. A couple of days later they came out again and told me that I had problems with the coils in the attic and that I would need Freon as both systems were low on Freon and that would be several thousand dollars, so they recommended the entire system (both upstairs and downstairs) be replaced and it would be about $16K.

I refused that and contacted the gentleman who works on the A/C at my business and he came and after spending about 10 minutes looking at my systems, he said "A. You do not need Freon. B. I fixed the system,, it was a minor problem".

Since then the A/C has worked great and the total bill was $70. Shout out to Dan Eubanks best A/C man in town. And extremely honest too!

Then I got a voice mail from Service One stating they had worked out a deal with AHS where I would ONLY have to pay $2450 not sure if that was for repairs or a new unit but with a nice cold house all that was worth was a chuckle and delete.

Finally thank you to all the Yelpers who had reviewed this company before me because after reading your reviews I went into this with my eyes open and ready for their nonsense. Thank you all, YELP does work.
