Our AC went out on July 3rd and I figured I was in for a long hot holiday weekend. However, after placing my service request with our warranty company, I called Service Contractors to see when I could get my appointment and was thrilled that someone could come out on the 4th of July. My technician was Dak, he arrived on time and was very professional. He tested everything and hosed out the unit, replaced the compressor capacitor and I was good to go. Then we woke up on Sat the 20th to a warm house and no ac. Unfortunately, we had to survive the weekend this time. With an appointment scheduled for Monday between 10 and 2, I was delighted to learn that put us first on his list and we at our house by 9. Quickly identifying that the fan motor wasn't blowing, he replaced the fan capacitor and once again, we were good to go.
Thank you Service Contractors and Dak for taking such good care of us.

If I could give negative stars, I would. I got a work order sent to them from American Home Shield back in October of last year to fix two of my toilets that were leaking and running constantly and the shutoff valves would not shut off. They called fairly promptly to set up an appointment, but what is the worst thing about this company is their management and scheduling dept. They will not give you a time they can be there until 1 hr before they will arrive. They can't tell you if it could be morning or afternoon. They are completely inflexible with scheduling. It too them THREE WEEKS to get the repairs completed, and when they finally did come, they did not have the proper parts and charged me another $225 to make the repairs that I had already paid the service fee for to AHS. This Sunday, my water heater elements went out, and of course when I put in the service request, AHS again routed it to these idiots. They called on Monday to set up an appt for Tuesday, I told them I'd need afternoon and they said they would try. They called me at 11:00 and told me they were on the way to my house. I told them nobody would be there, as I'd said, so they pushed the spot to the next day with the same request. They called me at 8:30 am and told me they were on their way. Again, I said nobody will be there unless I know ahead of time. She then told me she'd have to push until Monday. I told her that is unacceptable- they need to be able to give a service window before they show up if they want anyone to be there. I ended up letting them keep my $75 and canceling the work order to get a company that os not absolute garbage. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!

Will for Service Contractors Plumbing just fixed a broken garbage disposal for me. Showed up when they said they would and got it knocked out fast. He also unclogged my bathtub for free which has been draining slow for awhile now. So my experience was alot different then the rest I've read. Thank Will!

Avoid this contractor. Dispatched via American Home Shield to fix what I thought was a leaky shut off valve, they replaced that but determined I had a leak somewhere else due to the main spinning. Fair enough, probably have a leak somewhere. They charged AHS $220 for telling me that my water meter was spinning. When I called to challenge them on it they said that was their "leak detection". DO NOT USE!!!

Another AHS fail for not covering a leaky drain...I could not be more pleased that they sent James and Service Contractors Plumbing though. They called me immediately and got me on the schedule for the next day. I received a text in the morning letting me know my service window and a call when an hour out (they typically call 30 minutes out, but since i work 45 min away, I requested an hour's notice and that was what they did!!!!). James was quick to diagnose the problem and take care of it. He was clean, wore booties as to not track anything into our home and was so quiet the dogs in the other room did not even know he was here. I look forward to not renewing AHS and calling Service Contractors directly instead. Thanks James and Erica for your help :)

Unfortunately I have to agree with the other reviewers. I was told they would text me between 8am and 9am the day of our agreed upon appointment with a time window. No text. I call, and it goes straight to voicemail... several times. I leave a message, send an email, etc.. still nothing. A couple hours goes by and they text me saying "This is the plumbing company" and that their phone and internet is down.. what? It's 2017. And regardless, they said they'd text me... was their "text down" too? I'm a working man just like everyone else... I took the day off to get this resolved. I'll update my review once they finally get out here and get on the job, but if their professionalism and customer service is indicative of their work, looks like I'm going to have a tough time.

UPDATE: The gentlemen showed up, fixed both problems in less than an hour, and were very professional. Sometimes in the heat of the moment, we jump to conclusions. I'm glad I was proved wrong. I can't speak for major issues, both of mine were very simple, but I'd call them again. My real beef at this point is with American Home Shield.

I have American Home Shield and called to report a water leak. I've had two leaks in different parts of the plumbing and both times they dispatched Service Contractors. The first time Service Contractors sent a guy out who was not very professional and he was trying to grossly over charge me. Fortunately, I got a second opinion from a much larger and reputable company who fixed the problem, they were very professional, and charged me $1500 less! The second time Service Contractors was dispatched, a different guy came out and the company sang his praises. Unfortunately, he tried to not only over charge me but he discouraged me from calling my insurance company "because they will try to make you go with who they like and we are better". Also, he was trying to pressure me into paying for the full job upfront which was quoted at $3700. I again went outside of AHS' preferred vendor and called the larger company back again. They promptly came out and fixed the problem for $1900 total. So basically, Service Contractors tried to over charge me a total of $3,300 for both jobs....unacceptable business practice! Later, I found out that Service Contractors charged my credit card for 2 service fees when they only came out once. They did refund one of the service fees but this company cannot be trusted. I called AHS and complained to them about this company. Homeowners beware and good luck!

I have also sent a complaint to AHS to never send this company to my house EVER again.
We had a leaking water heater and it took them 12 hours to show up and another 24
hours to remove and replace it while charging me $150 for a permit, which is only $40
and a $25 disposal fee which is covered AHS.

AHS sends this company out and they do absolutely nothing!!!! I have tried getting service from them repeatedly over a period of a couple of years and they just come out for their fee and that's it. They see water on floor and claim there is no leak. They see a clean-out in front of them and they report back to AHS that there is no clean-out. Beware, beware, beware, okay you have been warned.

Absolute worst experience of my life. The customer service here is a joke and implied I was lying about something they said. I am dropping American Home Shield specifically for using this vendor.
