Since 1972, Kevin Comerford and his family have been meeting the heating and air conditioning needs of Northern California homeowners. Kevin completed his studies at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo in 1994. Post-graduation, he joined his parents' HVAC business. After 25 years, his parents transitioned the business to a major corporation based in Dallas, TX. After six years with the corporation, Kevin opted to step away from the corporate landscape. He envisioned a family-owned, client-focused company akin to his parents' original business from 1972. Thus, he founded Service Champions in 2002. Guided by these values, Kevin's business has grown to a team of over 200 and has been thriving for 18 years. Today, Service Champions serves homeowners across the San Francisco Bay Area, including the East Bay, South Bay, and Sacramento.
Kevin makes his home in Pleasanton, CA with his wife and three children.

Our GFI outlet went out in our guest bathroom which caused issues in the master bathroom. We called Service Champs and they had an electrician come out to investigate. To start things off, the representative that I spoke to over the phone was polite and kind. The electrician that came out was also polite and kind. He was able to determine the root cause and went to work right away to fix the issue. The pricing was standard across other companies that I researched. However, Service Champs has coupons available on their website and that brought the final cost down $50 less than their competitors. Great service and savings.

Thomas Dainael came to our house on Sunday because our heater wouldn't come on. He quickly replaced a blown fuse and installed our new thermostat. Thomas was very friendly and polite and very considerate of us and our home. We highly recommend Thomas and Service Champions!

Josh arrived promptly and completed our current report card of our heating system. Josh also checked on our hot water heater as well as the insulation in our attic. Great to have all our questions answered about hot water heater maintenance and any future insulation we might want to improve. Thanks Josh and Service Champions.

Service Champions Martnez is just great! I've lived in El Sobrante almost 20 years. Until about 2 years ago I had used half a dozen different HVAC companies. All previous were either marginal and/or very expensive. Service Champions Martinez has a professional and competent crew that keeps you in the loop. Be it Steve, Lho, Josh or Zach are just 4 of their excellent staff. In addition their service charges have always been reasonable and truthfully, much less then I expected.

I wholeheartedly wish to rate the Service Champion technician, David Daberdaku, a 10 Star on a 5-star-max scale.

I own a few rental properties and there have been HVAC problems of some sort every now and then. Meaning also, I have had experiences with countless repair companies and technicians over many years.
I have been having a unique HVAC problem of late. It was due to a builder's fault with the ducts which the first four technicians (from other reputable companies that ranked at the top on yelp) were unable to diagnose correctly. As a matter, their diagnoses were not even close to being correct.
Then came David Daberdaku. He was professional, knowledgeable and patient. He discovered the real problem, showed the problem to me (with pictures he took), and explained what he discovered, in great details.
I have got to say, if I had not been sent David Daberdaku, I would still be going through more companies and technicians for sure without being able to learn what the real problem is. Like I had said, my HVAC problem was unique. The willingness of David to think critically & logically and being patient, made a universe of difference. Truly !!
To conclude, even if your HVAC problem might not be a unique one, you can trust and depend on David 110% for an honest and precise diagnosis. Because he really is the best technician whom I have known in my many years of experience related to HVAC issues.
Going forward, I really do not know whom I want to trust besides David Daberdaku.

tldr: Had such a great experience with Tony Ball that I'm definitely going to be an MVP member for life! On-time, thorough, patient (took the time to show and explain everything to me), considerate, and professional.
I'd heard about service champions from my uncle who has been a customer for a few years now. I knew my ac unit was old but wasn't sure about my furnace. Called to make an appointment and Tony was out here the next day.
As suspected, my ac unit is getting ready to go at any moment, and Tony took the time to not only walk me through the status of every component but also explained their function and how they all worked together. There was no sales pitch, just a super knowledgeable technician happily sharing his passion.
Tony did the same for my furnace and water heater as well.
All in all, can't recommend Tony and Service champions highly enough!

They were great until I signed up for their MVP membership. Since then service is late always outside the window. First representative today on third year in a row being late to the service call seemed to act like my schedule did not matter. Second person was nice but of course. business was at risk. Done with them. Technicians have been great, customer service is super weak.

We had David D come by and upgrade our Zone control board, after we had trouble with our new thermostats. David was nice, courteous and showed up on time as promised. He wound up having to do a little more work than was originally estimated, but did not charge us more after we had agreed to the original estimate. Setting up an appointment was super easy (no real wait to talk to someone) and they were able to offer same-day.
We decided to participate in their MVP program as it seemed like a pretty good deal for the year.
A bit of a shot in the dark for us, and glad we found them.

We had Service Champs out for our furnace maintenance appt. Jeff showed up at the beginning of the time slot and completely his work timely and answered all our questions.
He explained some potential future issues, but didn't push for any charges as our system is working well. Really couldn't have asked for anything more. Our experiences with Service Champions for HVAC & water heater have been excellent.
