Since 1972, Kevin C. and his family have been addressing the heating and air conditioning requirements of homeowners in Northern California. Kevin graduated from Cal Poly in San Luis Obispo in 1994. Following his graduation, he came back to work in his family's air conditioning and heating company. Following 25 years, his parents transferred ownership of the business to a billion-dollar corporation in Dallas, TX. Kevin worked with that corporation for six years before deciding to leave the corporate environment and establish a family-owned, client-centered business like his parents did in 1972. As a result, he established Service Champions in 2002. With these principles at the forefront, Kevin's business has expanded to over 200 team members and has been operational for 18 years. Currently, Service Champions provides services to homeowners in the San Francisco Bay Area (East Bay), South Bay, and Sacramento areas.
Kevin resides in Pleasanton, CA, with his wife and three children.

Great staff I have called them twice for HVAC inspections and diagnosing, both times we are happy with service champions diagnosis and proposals. They don't try to sell unwanted products or services and does a great job to explain things about system and possible resolutions in a honest way.
Eric Antonio is the technician who looked into my HVAC he has done amazing job showing pictures of my attic for duct inspecting, checking the air conditioner and explained well what would be best for our home to keep things running I felt safe and wanting to discuss more with him it was great to have him.

Sharing my first level experience review for Gavin from Service Champions team.
1. This service was scheduled a month before for furnace tune-up only, but Gavin said weather is alright today and if you wish I could do the Air conditioner service too. I liked it, because it saved my time on having 2 appliances tuned-up in single visit.
2. Gavin, explained the MVP program benefits and gave a sole choice to the owner what works for me. There is a never a pressure on sign-up for anything, that's the wonderful part here.
3. Gavin inspected the furnace thoroughly, explained how old is the furnace, what's the typical life time and showed the parts which needs maintenance. He took the temperature readings in all the rooms and also gave a recommendation to fix the auto-shut off knob missing to protect the device from water clogged situation. He also checked the Attic space and gave recommendations on what need to be fixed in order to get more energy efficient.
4. Air conditioner also checked in detail, compared the temperature readings, electrical connections. He washed the device exterior at the end.
5. During the whole visit, Gavin is courteous, friendly and took the needed time to ensure an excellent service was given to the owner. I appreciate, all the time he was wearing the shoes protector and handling the tool kits cleanly to not fell off for keeping house clean.
Extremely satisfied to meet the quality technician Gavin today who is a thorough professional in this field. I have signed for the MVP program to have peace of mind for this costly appliances.

I recently had an annual service from Service Champions. I have to say, this firm remains a great choice for your HVAC needs. David U. was the tech, and as with past technicians, he was professional, through, and on time. There is no hard sell, and they are responsive to your needs, as well as cost considerations for any recommendations. I will continue to be a customer for a long time.

It is so nice to be a customer of a service company you can fully trust! Love being their customer. Yesterday David U was my technician, he was wonderful! Polite, courteous, honest and knowledgeable. So often I feel service companies are just trying to do whats best for them, not their customer. I never feel that way with Service Champions. Great job guys!

I purchased my family home from the estate last year when my mom passed, but really had no idea when the 28 year old furnace had been last serviced (if ever). So when I received an offer by mail for a furnace tune-up, I jumped on it!
Rich Sanders was assigned as the service tech and he has been an absolute blessing. He explains everything to me and is very patient with all my questions. Mom had been scammed so many times over the years that I am just now uncovering (and paying for) many of the ""shortcuts"" that prior contractors used on mom without her knowledge.
Looks like I may be heading for a whole new system in the near future and I am grateful I found Service Champions!

Beware if you are an elderly customer. Technician Hector Garcia showed up to my grandparents home and the first thing he did was use the restroom, overflow the toilet and cleaned it up with the bath towels. He didn't bother to tell anyone that he clogged the toilet. He then proceeded to ""clean"" the furnace. What he actually did was take the dirt and dust around the furnace and dump it on the side of the furnace against the the wall where you can't easily see it. Then he asks my grandfather for a ladder. (Mind you my he is 89 years old) Shouldn't he have come prepared? Hector sat there for a while fiddling with this and that and then starts to give my grandfather the run down. ""Flame sensor was dirty, thermal igniter in poor shape, blower motor is leaking oil, that will cost you $305.40, please sign here"". When my grandpa went to sign the iPad there was no writing for him to see, just a place for him sign. When my grandfather said I don't know what I'm signing, Hector told him we will take care of that later. So reluctantly my grandfather signed 4 different times and then was told he would need to write that $305.40 now. Hector was supposed to return on Monday, but once my grandmother found out what happened in her bathroom and my grandfather found out where Hector had disposed of all the dirt and dust, they collectively decided to cancel all upcoming work from this company and called to complain. The company knowing full well that they were no longer going to be providing any services to my grandparents had the audacity to cash that $305.40 that same day anyway. My grandfather was never allowed to speak to the manager or the owner, Hector never apologized for messing up the toilet and leaving sopping wet towels and rugs in the bathroom, and there is never an excuse to have elderly people sign blank pages! This company is a disgrace to our elderly community. I would never recommend this company to anyone. Anyone who treats our elderly this way is bad for everybody!

I just used Service Champions to service my furnace and air conditioner. What a thorough job they did! My service technician Yovanni Gil, from the Livermore Service Center, was awesome. He arrived early (and let me know he would be early), was extremely polite and clean. His expertise was exceptional! He even climbed into my attic crawl space and checked the piping for tears or leaks (nobody has ever done that before when they serviced my home). Great value.

I went for the tune-up service fall 2018 and found the service professional to be knowledgeable and professional. I signed up for the MVP service and, after a large gas bill this year (cold weather), arranged for a check-up in March 2019. A different service professional visited but was equally knowledgeable and helpful. The only odd thing was that he broke the igniter during his check-up which resulted in a 260USD bill to me (""part discounted from 3xx USD""). To my uneducated eyes, this igniter is probably worth 25USD cost. He was honest and professional and kindly did some extra work cleaning up thermostat wiring, but I was left feeling it a bit unfair - if I hadn't arranged for this check-up, then my igniter wouldn't have got broken by his handling and the furnace overall is running fine according to his diagnosis. Like another reviewer here, I'm being warned about oil from the blower motor - I hope next time, the blower motor doesn't get broken during a routine service. If a simple igniter replacement is 260USD, I'm guessing the blower motor will be thousands.
UPDATE. Following Alicia's note to this review, after calling her I want to say thank you for addressing my concern expressed in this review. This was great service follow-up and I can recommend Service Champions for the overall service they provide. Yay, I'm a fan!

Second year Service Champions came out to service our system, and they are the best! We've had others in the past, but this is the best service we've ever had.
Osage is our guy and he is professional, thorough, and knows his job well. Plus, he's not only nice to look at, he has a wonderful disposition. We'd like him to stay longer, but we know how busy he is. Oh well! We will request him again next year, so I hope he stays with the company.
