The guy wanted 10k to fix my AC unit. Was gonna charge me $400 a pound of refrigerant., and charge me 4K to retrieve the refrigerant from my furnace. Also said my compressor was busting apart., and that needed to be replaced for another 5K.... When all I needed was 1 pound of refrigerant to fix the issue.. they are scammers

Called to get my compressor fixed and they charged me a grand. Took them 15-30 minutes to actually fix it. They initially tried to upsell me to buy a new unit (12k like everyone else said) but I knew it was a scam and they were just taking advantage

If you can, absolutely call a local plumber or HVAC company, these aren't techs they're suped up sales reps who will try and upsell you and get as much money as they can out of you

Do not recommend as everyone else says

I was hoping for a rapid and reliable remedy, however things did no longer go as deliberate.  While the man become quality, the analysis felt hasty, and the solution did no longer absolutely remedy my heating problem. I ended up looking for a second opinion. The final quantity was appreciably extra than predicted, with unclear itemized charges. I anticipated extra professionalism and honesty from a famous organization along with Scott Hale. Overall, we have been disillusioned.

Shameful, disgusting and dare I say almost criminal. Service tech came out and checked our air and said we needed a whole new unit for $12,000. we are seniors and that was too much. Called someone else. He checked everything and found a lose wire. Only $40 and everything working great. I'm telling everyone not to call Scott Hale since I feel their just scamming seniors for money, DISHONEST!

If I could rate them 0 starts, I would. My wife and I called them needing our main sewer line replaced. Our initial contact was with Don, and we like Don. It's too bad he works for this company. When the project was finished, we thought we'd sign up for their Service Partner Agreement, which was $15 a month and they would do furnace and a/c checks, clean a drain for free a year, and a discount on other services. Sounds great, but it doesn't make you a ""priority customer"" like they say. Every time we would call to schedule an appointment they would schedule it for their next available opening, but when that day came, they would call with ""emergencies"" and have to reschedule. The first time or two we accepted and would reschedule, but then those would be rescheduled, as well. And they would reschedule every time. We did get them to our house a couple of times, but nearly as many times as we tried. Finally I told them I wanted to cancel. So they did, or so I thought. I was called back the same day and begged to stay with them. They even offered to give me a year for free, and I told them it was too little, too late. They said they understood, and the account would be canceled. Well, 2 weeks later, I was charged again. Figured maybe it was just a delay in accounting, whatever. The next mo th I was charged again. I called them, and they apologized and told me they couldn't understand why, because the account was closed, and they would be refunding me for both charges, and I should see that on my card in 5-7 days. We'll, today is the 7th day, and nothing has come through. I again called, and they told me the credit was just done 2 days ago, and I should again see it in 5-7 days. I'm getting ready to get legal help on this. It's ridiculous! AVOID THEM AT ALL COSTS!

We have a bathroom sink drainage problem. Scott Hale sent tech Edib A to unclog the pipe. He did a wonderful job. He deserves a praise. I hope Scott Hale will have a lot of techs like him. 5 stars.

You guy's need to tell your driver in truck #52 not to swerve around traffic because that driver is dangerous on the road, I was turning into the intersection and he had time to slow down or move over but waited until the last second and almost side swiped my vehicle. Do better with your driver's.

I didn't work with Scott Hale Plumbing Heating & Air because they were too expensive. I worked with Black Dimond Experts who didn't charge for estiments and did the job for less. I'm very satisfied with the work they did and will call them if I ever need something more. The company I will not ever call again is Superior Water and Air. Their add says they are from Eden and they are not and they are really expensive.

The short review is to avoid Scott Hale Plumbing at any cost. They are the worst company I've ever had the misfortune of dealing with. If you're curious about why; continue reading.

I contacted Scott Hale Plumbing to address a gas line issue at my home. They responded with a quote and assured me they could replace all the gas lines and get me back up and running within 1.5 days. A week after the initial contact (Friday), they began the project, and everything seemed on track. They promised to return on Monday to complete the work and prepare for an inspection.

However, it took four weeks for anyone to return and finish the job. During this time, I called every other day seeking updates, only to be told someone would call me back. SPOILER ALERT: nobody ever called me back...not once. I pleaded for answers as I grew increasingly frustrated, but still nothing. They finally came back to finish the work after I threatened to hire another company. As a result, I endured a whole month without gas in my home which meant I couldn't use hot water, the oven, dryer, or air conditioning in the middle of the summer. I had to do their job by contacting the city and Dominion Energy (all part of the estimate), as they made excuse after excuse. Despite the hellacious experience, all I received was a $500 discount on my $7,000 project (a paultry 7% discount). To nobody's surprise, they called me five times on the first day after the project was completed to collect their money.

I've made many mistakes as a homeowner, but none as significant as hiring Scott Hale Plumbing. I strongly recommend looking elsewhere for your plumbing needs. Seriously, anyone or anything will be better. Hopefully the gas lines hold up, but I won't hold my breath.

I was quoted $1850 to replace an air conditioner cooling motor because they are very expensive. Also was given the usual up-sale for a new air conditioner because of a little discoloration from condensation in the coils. The motor was actually $137.00 and I did the work myself with help from Youtube and a local supply house.
