I am writing as a matter of what I consider to be very questionable practices. I had them do a small repair last year and called on them for another job last week. What seemed to be a small job. My initial problem turned into a large job. Deciding to bid the job and get a second opinion, what was stated as my problem by Schrader, was not in fact the issue. I have written and requested a refund and explained the findings. I have not heard anything from them. I have not reached out to the plumbing board for assistance. Thinking I had found a reputable, local plumber has turned out to be not the case. I will not recommend Schrader for anything.

Purchased this house 15 years ago in Hurst, Texas and have had continual plumbing problems. Due to old cast iron pipes, roots and shifting clay veins in sandy soil I've spent a small fortune on rooter services, along with licensed plumbers. Everyone had a different opinion. With the latest blockage resulting in clean water flooding part of the house. Being sick and tired of mopping and restricting rules when and how to use water, I read the reviews from several sources and found Schrader Plumbing. They're great! On time, professional, courteous, organized, informative , understanding and able to resolve problems. They know what they're doing! They have a great team. Gustavo, lead licensed plumber and Tom, business manager were great to work with. New pipes to the street and under the house in three days from start to finish. ...Is a blessing. Its worth it.

$3600 estimate for what I thought was a small simple project.
I went ahead and purchased the materials myself from HD for less than $300 and my son and I completed the work in less than 2-hours.

By reading other reviews seems I was right.You sent 2 guys to replace a washer,terrible service never again and hopefully other will read review.Gas not a problem your business is 2miles from my house,what an excuse!.Never contact my again.

Worked with Andy on my water heater problem and I can't be happier with the service. Had some problems in the past with my waterheater but Andy and Tom the svc mgr were great. Tom is the reason I called Schrader and Andy is the one I'll request to come back every time.
Thank you Schrader plumbing... I feel they are honest and an upstanding company to work with.

I'll start by saying, Eli, the young man the company sent out to evaluate our issue (bubbling toilets, clogged main line) was incredibly kind and professional.

He was also, unfortunately, wrong.

IDK if the auger he brought with him wasn't enough to clear the blockage, or he just didn't know what he was seeing with his camera, but he told us we needed our entire main line replaced, to the tune of about $6000!!!

(I will say in his defense that we don't have a clean out in our front yard, so he had to go through the vents on the roof. We'll handle that issue soon enough.)

Called another company to get a second opinion the next day. Turns out it was roots in the pipe. A blockage that they cleared in less than an hour, for WAY LESS than six grand.

Take this review with a grain of salt, but do yourself a favor, and ALWAYS get a second opinion on stuff like this.

The second company that came out just saved me over 5k. Just saying.

Not happy with the service. I, Steve V., had a kitchen/ laundry sewer drain clog, and called Schrader Plumbing to come out a fix it. The guys showed up and went to work and in about a half hour +/-, they stated they couldn't fix it because a previous repair was not done correctly. They took the payment and left. about 30-45 min. $300. (came down $100 since they couldn't repair the clog) Some months later I called another local plumbing company (N.H.P.) to review the issue with my drain. they were aggressive and comprehensive in their trouble shooting. And was able to get in, work and clean out the blockage. and they cost less ($250) than the Schrader team and done far more work.
