$500 an hour is too much. Nickel and dime for getting to the pipes and removing/reinstalling the toilet.

Thank you to Eli, Star, and the dig crew for doing great work replacing the line from our house to the street. Big job (at least for us) well done. Eli was a pleasure to deal with - knowledgeable and conscientious in every regard. And Star in the office, courteous and ever-efficient scheduling and organizing the bunch of moving parts involved in a job like this.

And the dig grew dug (and filled) like hella!

Had an issue with my toilet where it would sometimes flush properly and other the tank would not fill properly. And once in a while the tank would not stop filling and begin to overfill. I had the flapper replaced a few years ago by a plumber assigned from our home warranty company that I really didn't trust. It's not really worked right since and so I requested to just have most of whatever is in the tank replaced. The Schrader Plumbing plumber came out and provided an estimate. It seemed a little high, but I'm not sure as I didn't do any real cost comparisons, which is on me. The plumber seemed to know what he was talking about so I went ahead and authorized the repair. They performed the work quite quickly, and it looked good to me. The next morning I noticed a small amount of water around the base of the toilet so I called back and they sent the same plumber back out fairly quickly, within a few hours, it was a pretty slow leak so I just put some towels around it and wasn't a huge issue. They fixed the leak pretty quickly, it appears one of the bolts needed to be a little tighter. The leak has not reoccurred. I also had them fix a small shower leak I have been having. The company is very professional to work with, their communication system is outstanding, and they showed up at the promised times. They were able to come out the next day after the initial request for quote, and performed repair the same visit. I'm not dinging them on the price because I didn't do due diligence, but I will provide the work description and what I payed so you can make your own determination on cost competitiveness.

The description of the work as provided in their receipt:

"Plumber will replace fill valve, flush valve, flapper, and tank to bowl gasket by pulling tank, and replacing tank to bowl gasket, bolts, and washers, and resetting tank. Schrader Plumbing not responsible for sheetrock, paint, flooring, landscaping,
ect. Tech will remove, and replace additional angle stop added to already installed standard cost angle stop w/o supply line. Tech proposes to remove and replace plumber supplied tub:shower cartridge. Tech will test once completed to verify that there are no further leaks. Any unforseen issues will
be additional. Schrader Plumbing not responsible for sheetrock, paint, flooring, ect."

The cost for these line items was $1001.00.

Overall, I would say it was a very positive experience, however in the future I would probably investigate pricing a bit more rigorously.

The crew came to provide an estimate for a leak at the meter. They say right away that the line will have to be replaced if it's a certain material, only copper can be patched. Of course they go ahead and start digging to see the color of the pipe. Then announce a $3500 job estimate. And a $225 digging fee, for about 30 seconds of hand digging, has to be paid right away (against their advertised free estimate policy). Not even once was the water turned on to see the problem. I didn't know I wasn't supposed to pay for the estimate, until my husband came home and told me.
We had a different company come and turns out, the problem is in a connecting plastic piece and it cost $350 to fix it.
We called to complain about this, and the manager offered to refund half if we take down the bad review. Unbelievable! Stay away or they'll take advantage of you!

I can't say enough about how great Gustavo and Shawn, from Schrader Plumbing, were for my family over the Christmas holiday. When the heavy freeze hit on 12/22, the plumbing running into our tankless hot water heater froze. With 10 family members arriving that night to spend the Christmas weekend at our house, not having hot water would have been a disaster. Gustavo and Shawn came out the next day (12/23) to assess the situation and confirmed that not only was the piping frozen, but also discovered a deficiency in the previous installation (not performed by Schrader) that would result in this happening every time we experienced any more than a light freeze. With temperatures still well below freezing, Gustavo planned out a better installation, procured all of the supplies necessary to get it installed and stayed way past business hours on the night of 12/23 to make sure that we had hot water available for the Christmas weekend. If you need plumbing help, don't hesitate to call Schrader. They'll go the extra mile to get you taken care of.

We had ordered a new washer and dryer which were delivered to our house and were supposed to be installed. But the installer took one look at our water hookup and walked off the job saying it was against his company policy for him to touch a faucet handle that wasn't the standard wheel style. He said he would return to do the install after we had the handles replaced. In a hurry, my wife called Shrader plumbing. The dispatcher sent Chris to our house in about 30 minutes, which was amazing. Chris was very professional and made no attempt to sell us on anything we didn't want or need. He simply gave us a quote for the job then proceeded to do the fix. Of course the appliance delivery company never returned and left us to set up ourselves but thankfully Shrader came through for us. Thank you!

We used Schrader Plumbing for the first time today at our rental property and were very happy with their service. Mike Simon was a very nice guy and did an exceptional job with the repairs. I will definitely have them on our short list for future plumbing needs.

They were responsive and timely. Very pleasant. My only downside was the cost. $400 to charge an outdoor spigot in 10 mins seems to be just a bit high.
